About this property
Country Orchard House
Our apartment is located on our 54 acre property. The building was built to look like a big red barn. It is a 3 story building and the 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment is on the 3rd floor. The barn building is nestled on 5 acres of our small apple orchard where it is quiet and peaceful. We decorated the apartment in farm style decor with barn board paneling and it has a rustic country home feel. We are located just 1/2 mile from Square Lake Beach and our country roads are perfect for bike riding, walking, or running. We live on the property as well. Our house and the barn apartment share a driveway. We have two dogs, both Sheepadoodles, who do find their way to the barn often for a visit. We have a big family with 6 children and 11 grandchildren, and counting! Our apartment is quiet, peaceful (except you may hear our dogs barking occasionally) and is abundant in deer, turkeys, and whatever wildlife you may see from the birds eye view in the apartment.

Bill is from Minnesota and aside from living in Alaska, Illinois and Hawaii as a young man has made Minnesota home. Tina is from Vermont and has lived in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee as a young adult before making Minnesota her home over 35 years ago. We enjoy traveling and we enjoy staying at other people's homes when we do travel because we like a homey feel when we're away from home. We enjoy hosting people to stay in our apartment. We love getting to know other people. And we love being able to provide a peaceful home to reside in for whatever reason called them to Stillwater, Minnesota.
Why they chose this property
Being that we are in the country, the views from the apartment are of the woods and an apple orchard and wildlife. Our roads are quiet and when you are here, you are truly able to experience peacefulness.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique because it is in the country, yet it is 15 to 20 minutes from many restaurants and the stores and the adorable downtown Stillwater. Our property hosts many deer, turkeys and other wildlife that is a joy to see. We are very close to Square Lake, which is a beautiful lake to swim in, boat on, paddleboard on, and even learn how to scuba dive in. It's just a short 1/2 mile away. Our roads are quiet and perfect for bike riding, walking and running.
