Beautiful nicely furnished home. Plenty of space. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Close to everything. This was a work trip of 4 and the host was very responsive.
We enjoyed our stay and found the place quite pleasant overall. However, a few minor adjustments would enhance the guest experience. The hot water was inconsistent, taking a while to warm up and not lasting very long. Additionally, we noticed only one functional outlet in Will’s room, and we ran out of essentials like toilet paper and paper towels fairly quickly. While not a necessity, having a television in the rooms would also be a nice touch. Overall, it was a good stay that could be even better with these small updates."
The large well stocked kitchen was perfect for our family milestone birthday. The house was great for family visiting and accommodations were nice for those from out of town.Would recommend it for groups with kids or adults.
This property was perfect for our stay for a family wedding in Winston! There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and the location was perfect! I highly recommend!
Clean house just with enough space for several people. I'm glad the dining room became the living room. Upstairs patio is great, too. Upstairs A/C could've been better. Plus, the main bedroom's ceiling fan didn't work. Overall, still a good place to stay. Great location.
We spent 3 wonderful days staying at this beautiful historical house.
The bed was what what what what the door you can’t even sit or talk or do anything he’s whining he’s so comfortable, and soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.
The neighborhood was home to many other historical houses and was perfect for a evening stroll.
Plenty of space - 4 great size rooms. On of the bed rooms has a door to the exterior stair so may be unsettling for some. The house was very clean and a great kitchen with all of the items you would need. Love how close we were to downtown.
We love this home. Our family is long time members of the Winston Salem community and our mother is a former archeologist in Old Salem and owns the sweet Goat Feathers Antique shop - our entire family celebrated our Christmas get together at the house this year and it was wonderful. There are seven of us adult kids and our partners and we love this beautiful home....it was perfect.
As indicated by the 5 star rating, we were very happy and comfortable with the vrbo. The only glitch we had was finding the lockbox. The directions said "on the patio" but there wasn't a patio. We had to call to get help. The lock box is on the front porch.
The property is well located for downtown and the Baptist hospital. With four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and ample easy parking, it accommodates a crowd. The managers are prompt replying to all queries. A convenient property to rent.
Several things to consider though: It is not a good choice for anyone with any mobility issues. The steps into the house (3) are old and crumbling; in the rain they were slippery. The stairs in the house are very narrow, steep, and shallow. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs so getting luggage up and climbing the stairs is a bit treacherous. There are a number of trip hazards—every doorway has a jamb that is just high enough to be a toe catcher.
The outside is in need of a good power wash. The porches were no useable because they were rather dirty and the upstairs porch was covered in tree debris. Again, a power wash would make a great difference.
Overall a good choice for an agile group looking for a downtown location.
The process was easy. Nice well maintained home, to bad no longer on VRBO was concerned about the yellow rental property to the left of this residence. There was lots of “activity” going on that did NOT appear to be legal.
Great house for us to gather. House was as advertised and the host were responsive with any questions. Plan to stay there again for the next time Clemson plays Wake.
Everything about this listing was great. Property team super easy to work with. House was really nice, even better than in pictures. Would highly recommend.
House is close to Wake Forest and downtown which was convenient. Just beware, we were required to book the house for 5 nights for Wake graduation even though we only needed it for 4 nights. Overall the house was clean on the inside however the decks had a lot of debris, cobwebs and hence we were unable to use them. One small table in the entrance way for eating and no formal dining room or kitchen eating area. Good Wifi and close to grocery stores and restaurants.
This is a lovely home with much of its original charm preserved while offering modern amenities. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is a walk-able area with many choices of food and drinks available. Also within a short drive to many locations we were seeking. We had a group of 7 adults and always felt we had plenty of room to gather and socialize. The kitchen is very well equipped offering all the comforts of our home kitchen. Parking was plentiful and well lit. The only issues were the cleanliness of the oven, the mildew build up in the main shower and the cobwebs; otherwise this would be a 5 star property. Most importantly the home had no functional issues and offered plenty of clean towels and linens. If we can gather our family again in this area we will definitely book here.
This house was perfect for our wine weekend with 2 other couples! It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It was close to downtown and we even walked (about 15 minute walk) to Foothills Brewery one evening for dinner. No complaints at all!
We stayed at this property for a second time to celebrate our granddaughters’ birthdays with our son and his family. We enjoy the large kitchen and dining table as well. The beds and linens are comfortable and the furnishing are tasteful. The hosts are very helpful and easy to reach. We recommend this property!
Perfectly situated and literally the cleanest home I have ever rented. Neat as a pin, thoughtful extras supplied. Could use a sofa and some outdoor furniture for family gathering, but the ample dining room served us well. Would absolutely rent again if we are ever back in Win-Salem.
