If you're in town for a short stay, this is the place for you. We were able to get in and out without any hassle. Plus, the distance to downtown is minimal so anything from concerts to sports games to local eats are accessible. Just come in one car. There isn't much parking!
I enjoyed every minute of my stay at this adorable rental. It exceeded my expectations. The location couldn't of been more convient. It was very clean and organized. The bed was very comfortable also. I had total privacy with no disturbances whatsoever. The owner was very detail oriented and provided me anything I needed to know about the property during my stay. She couldn't have been a better host. If I needed any assistance whatsoever she responded to my needs in a timely efficient manner. I will definitely be staying again soon! Thank you for everything.

Didn't stay a second night
Bugs in the unit. Does not have central heat and air in the bedroom. Not worth the money.

Jet engine taking off
we did not get a single good night sleep at all. I am unsure if the owner is aware, when the air conditioner kicked in, it was as if a jet engine was taking off just 5 feet from my ear because the AC was literally less than 5 feet from the bed! Either it was very cold and noisy or when it was turned off, it was very hot. Only one window in the whole apartment. I wouldn't open that because the screen was broken. There were a lot of insects/bugs in that area. The gun range was mild compared to the AC. Sadly, we didn't get a single good night rest at all. (There is only one AC in the apartment - so either we get roasted or we had to bundle up + kept waking up every now and then when the AC kicked in, every night)
I gave it a 5 star review because I feel that our 'complaints' may not even bother some so they still deserve a good rating! I am just going to give MY take on the place to help others and maybe even the owner for the future. Overall it was pretty good, the price was right and due to my husband's health issues, we needed a place w/ kitchen so we could cook meals when needed. Only things I'd make note of would be the bed situation-- The memory foam mattress isn't for everyone. If you sleep warm, it's not for you. My husband ended up sleeping on the lower bunk bed and our son slept on the couch. I slept on the bed and we all realized that memory foam mattresses are NOT our thing. There's one AC unit-- in the bedroom only. The kitchen/LR area was pretty hot but there was a fan to use and we mostly were around in evenings and mornings so it was not too bad. We're from WI and it was in the 90s there, so I don't know if that would even bother others w/ having no central air. The Kitchen was decently equipped. We went and bought a non-stick pan to use for breakfast cooking-- so pack one if you prefer using non stick for eggs and such! There's no hot pads, so if you plan on using the oven, bring some along! We bought salt and pepper shakers but left them in the apartment since we didn't want to bring them home- not sure if those will stay for the next renter, but something to think about packing or buying if you plan on cooking-- also pack oil/cooking spray if you need/use it. There was a Kroger pretty close by so that was nice for when we got groceries. Overall, it really was good, it was clean, had almost everything we needed so we cannot really complain! It was more quiet than a hotel & decent to unwind at the end of the day. For SURE better than a hotel for our needs so that is why we chose it.
The property was easy to locate and access. It was located in an area where my niece was looking for an apartment and a good ground zero to base our searches from.
The place was nice and as described. Conveniently located to many parts of Knox.

Some things to look at not in the description
Arrived with no check in email for code. Owner would not answer phone and only after VRBO called her did we get the code.
Property is right next to an active gun range!! Never disclosed in description. Gunfire lasted until 8 pm on Saturday night and most of the daytime all week.
We stayed for a full week and the owner left only one roll of toilet paper that you could see through.
The dish towels looked like my shop rags. Cant believe the owner couldn't buy a nice set of towels.
We were also left with only one dishwasher soap tablet for a week. Wound up washing dishes by hand.
No coffee filters
No screen on the only window which we had to open for some fresh air. We woke up to a wasp one day in the bedroom and a large moth another day. The screen looked like it had been ripped out a long time ago.
No laundry pods or detergent was provided. We had to go buy them.
Also a bad trip hazard leading into the bedroom. We wound up rolling up a bath towel and laying it across the threshold as a visual reminder of the small step up.
Was a great location for work and shopping. Was told it was quiet, but on arrival, there were gunshots. Later, I found out there is a tactical center next door. If you don’t work nightshift, it’s fine.
Property is spacious. We enjoyed cooling and eating in the kitchen/ dining area. Lots of nice pans and dinnerware. Bedroom can probably accommodate 2 adults and small children.

Short/long term stay as travel nurse
Stayed here during my assignment at UTMC as a travel nurse. Very comfortable accommodations, short drive to downtown and UTMC. The people in the neighborhood were super friendly and the landlords were great. I would definitely recommend this place for short or longer stays in Knoxville.

Why they chose this property
I chose this house because of the location and I saw all the potential the house had. Also, the Powell area of Knoxville is known for its community and growing commerce. But, most of all, this house and location made me feel like I was secluded in the countryside when I am really less than 5 miles from downtown Knoxville.
What makes this property unique
The ability to temporarily live in a private home while in the Knoxville area is a great rental situation for that person who desires to separate themselves from the experience of a hotel or motel while traveling.
