We had an amazing stay with our 3 kids and dog. The lake was beautiful and the view was amazing! We are so thankful to have spent the week at such a peaceful, little cabin on the lake!

Hi Kellie,
Really happy you enjoyed yourself with your family! Hope to have you up again next year!
This is the seventh year we have stayed at this cabin. It is rustic - think '50s log camp cabin - but honestly that is its charm. The sleeping loft is exceptional - there is nothing like being up in the trees, rolling over when you wake up, and seeing the lake right there (and of course hearing the loons at night). It is truly a vacation to take lots of naps, read books and kayak as much as you want, This cabin is definitely a vacation for us. We will be back again for year eight!

Hi Heather, I am always happy to have you and your family! I know you travel a good distance to get there and that makes it even more special. Thank you for your loyalty and have a great rest of your summer!
I will leave an honest review of this cabin. The location of the lake/beach is the only good thing about this cabin. We knew it was going to be small and rustic but not at all what we walked into. The sleeping accommodations were basically unusable and plagued by spider webs. The water/lake equipment were filthy and not easily assessible for guests. Any chairs that were provided were falling apart and had to be disinfected. This cabin has not been cleaned in years! There is spiders/bugs and rodent poop everywhere! The deal breaker was listening to the mice scratching at night. We were up all night in unbearable surroundings. We packed everything up and left the next morning. I messaged Troy and let him know we checked out early, I also asked for a refund and have yet to hear from Troy. Im also contacting Vrbo customer service.
We had a great time at this VRBO on Lincoln Lake about 10 miles north of Spooner, WI. Despite being the warmest week of the year in the north woods with 90s everyday, we were able to stay comfortable and cool due to several good fans in the cabin, a great beach area with good quality water for swimming, a nice breeze off the lake, and plenty of shade. A couple nights were uncomfortable, but over all it was not an issue. Water clarity and quality was good, fishing not so much due to very hot weather and plenty of weeds near shore. Twin Oaks Bar and Grill less than 2 miles away has great appetizers (fried cheese curds, onion rings and mushrooms), 1.50 tacos on Tuesday, and 10 home made pizzas on Wednesdays. It's worth the stop. And we went to Hub's River Bend in Trego for a fantastic walleye fish fry on Friday, next door to Jacks Canoe and Tube rentals. We had 2 days with wildfire smoke, but we did not let it deter us. The natural public amphitheater overlooking the lake is a great place to hang out and relax. If your idea of a vacation in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin is sitting inside in air-conditioning, watching TV and movies, and playing video games, this place is not for you. If you prefer to be outside, swim, fish, explore and enjoy your surroundings, you will not be disappointed. Only two complaints is the cabin has virtually no counter space (but a large older kitchen table), and a very sandy area right outside the door. The Weber grill worked great for cook

The wife, I, and our retired service dog enjoyed our three days stay. There is no Air Conditioning, however with windows open, fresh air and the fans, it was pleasantly comfortable.

Rustic cabin, which is perfect when you are travellibg with two Corgi's. We had a wonderful time and even enjoyed our rainy day where we could look out over the lake and watch the rain roll in. This cabin had lots of fun stuff to do. Games, books kayaks, you name it. Such a great time and lots of memories made. Thanks so much!!

Hi Robert,
Im happy to hear you had a wonderful time over your Anniversey weekend. Thank you so much for staying!
This is our sixth summer at the cabin. It has become our happy place - hanging out in the sleeping porch elevated in the trees, reading and napping the lazy days away, going kayaking whenever the mood strikes, and hearing the loons at night. If you want to get away from the pressures of life, this is the cabin for you. We will be back once again next summer.

Very happy to have you again Heather! You said it perfectly on what this place represents, have a great rest of your summer.
This cabin is a great place for a getaway on a lake! I read other reviews that said it was rustic - it is but with all the amenties you need. Comfortable beds, kitchen with all the things you need, and an excellent sleeping porch facing the water! Our teenagers loved the bunkhouse as well as all the available games. Outdoors, we enjoyed the firepit, beach, raft, and kayaks. The lake is quiet and peaceful too. Troy is a great host and has thought of all the little details for an easy stay. We loved it and hope to come back next year!

Great vintage-style cabin with an amazing lakefront setting offering everything we needed for a long weekend - we fished, rowed, paddled & grilled, utilizing just a few of the outdoor amenities! Thanks for another awesome stay - love Lincoln Lake.
