Monthly Lakeside cozy rustic cabin just a few steps to the property beach and wetlands with wildlife viewing and sunny beach days. Cabin has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a small kitchen. This is no-frills cabin. The tiny house type cabin built in the late 1970s is about 500 square feet. Characteristics and furnishings of the Ma-Pa resorts of those days and has the basic necessities of living.
There is a campfire area on the beach and free use of kayak, and paddleboat. There is wildlife to watch eagles, turtles, beaver, and birds of various kinds, and fishing off the dock. We get some deer too. The property is on 1.5 acres of land and offers some privacy. The lake is small and shallow with many smaller lakes in the area. There are also a few bigger lakes in the area. Remember to bring towels and your favorite pillow, blanket, and a book to read as you will have time on the beach or under the canopy of trees.
My home is on the property, but I am quiet and keep to myself unless you would like to chat or need assistance. Please let me know if you prefer to communicate through text, email or phone. I will use your preferred method. One other cabin on property.

No loud fireworks. Pets and wildlife often get stressed. There are some fireworks people do around the lakes so there is some.

Cabin was clean and close to lake. Great location for exploring the area. Enjoyed Fall colors. Communication with Kim was excellent. Would stay here again for sure.

Thank you for staying and I am so glad you had a great time! Please come vacation here again :)
Kim is such an excellent host and this place is a piece of heaven. The Cabin is right by the lake and the breeze off the lake keeps the bugs at bay. The wildlife will keep you entertained all day with the loons, ducks with their ducklings, the beavers, resident woodchuck, eagles and more. My kids loved swimming at the sandy beach and would catch fish right off the dock. We truly enjoyed our stay
Kim’s property made for a beautiful, long weekend relaxing with friends. Both cabins are simple but serviceable. I recommend bringing towels & extra pillows/blankets for comfort. Plenty of hot water and functional kitchens. The little slice of beach and quiet lake were absolutely lovely. Highly recommend this spot for a close-to-nature getaway with the creature comforts of cabins.
Grandparents were in one cabin and son and granddaughter in the other. Swimming, boating, sandcastles, s’mores, campfire storytelling, and pie irons! Wonderful memories! Loons, frogs, chipmunks, and more. We’re vegan so no fishing for us. We appreciated the quiet lake… a few pontoon boats and kayaks. Cabins were well-equipped and comfortable. Two thumbs up! Thanks, Kim.
This was a perfect COVID get away. The cabins are not fancy and they are dated but having privacy, beach, and lake access was great. It was a very casual family getaway with our 3 teenagers and 2 dogs, we all enjoyed this get away. Wonderful communication with owner. We loved the kayak and paddle-boat, but if you have multiple kids I suggest planning ahead for a local boat or canoe rental. They will deliver to the lake(I didn't plan ahead).
City people... please note there is nothing close by, no quick run to the super center here! This is awesome but also an adjustment. There are 2 full kitchens bring your food and anything else you may need.
My family had an amazing time at this property, tucked away on a point on a beautiful-quiet lake. So many things for my two year old to see (wildlife) and do with a sandy beach area to play, quiet roads to walk on for our pups, and relaxing morning views of the lake for our family. Such an amazing property manager- communication before my stay with all of my questions. Thank you for the wonderful staycation.
Our boys ages 4, 6 & 7 had an absolute blast fishing off the dock, swimming on the beach, paddle boating, kayaking and eating s’mores by the fire! Our dogs loved exploring the beach and lakeside as well. Cabins are exactly as advertised. We would go again!
Nothing fancy, but a beautiful quiet spot that's both isolated and easy to get to. Super-peaceful lake, perfect for swimming or kayaking.
The owner lives on the property. She's quite friendly and helpful, but she'll give you as much privacy as you want.
Kids had a great time fishing and enjoying the lakes around the property. Owner was friendly and accommodating. Couldn’t get my one son out of the kayak that was available because he was having too much fun.

Great town! Really nice cabin!
Kim was a gracious host! Great communication and super accommodating. The cabin was clean and setting was nice - oh yeah - tons of hot water! You do share the lakeside with other cabins but we found plenty of peace and quiet. Can’t wait to return.

Thank you for the great review! Awesome to meet you and have you stay! I’m so glad you plan on visiting again. While the property is shared the 2 cabins are seperate and many weekends people are here by themselves. I’m glad you had a good amount of privacy. Looking forward to having you stay again.
About the host

Hi, I'm a nature lover at heart and love this property. I am finding myself at the cabin more often. It is peaceful and allows time for reflection and peace of mind.
What makes this property unique
The sandy beach is just a few steps out of your cabin door. No long hauls down big hills or many stairs to get to the beach. Cabins are cozy with the basics and help you focus more on nature and outdoors than being in a big place with tvs and other indoor distractions. This is a place to enjoy outdoors and nature. Allows some social distancing with 2 cabins instead of one place where everyone is close together.
