Lakeside Retreat Lake Lanier-Enjoy fall with amazing hiking and wineries!

Welcome to Dawsonville and one of North Georgia’s most intriguing locations, Lake Lanier. Here you will enjoy beautiful North Georgia mountains, vineyards, outlet shopping, hiking trails, etc. Only an hour north of Atlanta. This quaint studio cottage has all you need for a perfect getaway.
You will enjoy fully furnished nights with a plush king size bed, fully stocked chef’s kitchen, and a custom designed master bath with a stand-up shower and a beautiful air-bath tub. Comfortably heated floors are included for colder nights and a gas firepit table on the deck.. On warmer evenings you will enjoy sitting on the outdoor porch, overlooking the tranquil garden of evergreens or on the newly added side deck with views of Lake Lanier.(Please know that we are on the lake, but we do not have a dock.)
This will be a perfect alternative to a hotel stay for you while visiting Lake Lanier, North Georgia mountains, wineries, or Dahlonega. We live right around the corner on the lake with a two story dock complete with lounge chairs on top. We also have two kayaks and a paddle board that are available with access to the lake from our dock. You are more than welcome to hang out on our dock and fish/swim. I also have parking for a boat and you’re welcome to keep it at my dock while you are there. This home is so much more than we hoped for. It is absolutely adorable, with all the comforts of home. Donna is the most amazing host we have ever had in all our years of using vacation rental homes. She reached out to us as soon as we booked. Her communication is quick and so helpful. She gave so many great recommendations and didn’t mind answering any questions or needs we had. Donna is a wonderful host! Hands down the best I’ve experienced with a VRBO. Her Lakeside Retreat is well furnished with everything that’ll make you feel at home or even disappointed to have to leave. For any fisherman and/or golfer, this is the place! There’s a very nice golf course and public boat ramp to one of the best spotted bass lakes in the SE approx 5 minutes away. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year. Thank again, Donna!

We traveled here for hiking and also visiting the Roswell/Alpharetta area. This home was perfect for our stay and was very comfortable. There are many things to do within a 30 minute drive of the cabin and once you come back to the home it is very peaceful and quiet. The property was cleaned very well and the decorations matched the season which was fun to see. The manager is easy to talk to and is very helpful if there are any questions or if there is an issue. I highly recommend visiting this home and will be returning.

Host was the best! Very quick and helpful responses to our questions and requests. The rental was beautiful, comfortable and clean. We prepared breakfast every day and we found everything we needed. It has always been a dream of mine to own a cabin that I could rent on VRBO because I love to host, decorate, and meet new people. So after retiring from a job I adored for 31 years (teaching school) I bought Rob’s Retreat. Rob had a very successful business, so when he decided he was going to move and sell his place I immediately told him that I wanted to buy it. That’s how Lakeside Retreat started in November 2022.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it’s so quiet and peaceful yet only 4 miles away from stores and shopping. The people are wonderful here and of course it’s on the lake.

What makes this property unique

my property is unique because it’s only for couples. The only place around here just for two people. It’s very quaint, but beautiful as well. It is also stocked with drinks, breakfast foods, and snacks.
