Isabelle is a phychologist and I am a consultant in management. We live in Dijon, in Burgundy (France) and fell in love with Corfu at the moment we put the foot on it.
We appreciate walking, cycling and sailing, activities that we can have on the island (with a little engine for the bikes!).
We love movies, theater, museums and, good wines naturally !

We love our Burgundy where we both spent our whole life, but getting older, we found, as many, that time has come to profit a little more of the sun.
I spent two years searching on internet a property that checked all of our wishes. I can say I "visited" more than 3.000 houses, in Spain, Portugal, France and Greece. There is a trend of very futurist villas, but we found they were ideal for summer times. We wanted something more athentic were we could live in winter too.
The second point, is that, when a place is very nice, it tends to be also very crowdy. But we are very fond of quietness, silence, nature.
And finally, we thought that, as far as it is difficult to radically change its life, being near a sea was a good idea, but at the condition that this sea was warm.
I discovered MaisonRose (it is its new name, Rose is our first grand daughter) and I instantly knew that it was the one. I fall in love with its swimming pool, its bricks.
That was so strong that we decided to make on offer even if we never went previously in Corfu.
The agent told me it was the first time in his carreer that someone bought a property without having come in the island.
When I came the first time, I have been so impressed by the amazing view just before arriving at the villa.
Entering the property, I must say I loved everything I saw : the arch of the veranda, the flowers and trees, the silence and the forest , and the beautiful shore of the beach.

MaisonRose is unique on many points : it is really quiet. Birds awake you in the morning and the small road that leads to the beach is used only by persons who knows well the area.
MaisonRose is also a true family house, occupied all year long by the previous owner that built it. It has a soul. It looks ancient, cosy, thanks to all the elements that have been collected in an old building of Athens : the doors, the parquets, etc...
It is also a very simple house, not a sophisticated one. Even if the equipments are of grat quality (SMEG, Sonos, solid cyrpus table, ...), everything has been thought to make people feel confortable.
