The outside is breathtaking. This home is on 8 1/2 acres and has wide concrete paths with no steps leading to the double decker dock. Then take the other wide concrete path to the large screened in gazebo with a deck only a few feet from the water. Also, there is a fire pit, full size basketball goal and lots of level parking.

On June 2nd, Forsey Films had the pleasure of capturing the beautiful wedding of Alyssa and JT. They had a scenic wedding at Serene Estates on the banks of Norris Lake, Tennessee. Though the day was hot, friends and family happily gathered to celebrate Alyssa and JT’s marriage. It was such a pleasure for us to film their special day and capture the love and joy radiating from them.
This wedding had a first for us – the groomsmen got ready on the other side of the lake and then took a boat across the lake to the wedding location. That was a blast to film! Also special to note is that JT’s father was the officiant for the ceremony. You could sense the emotion from JT’s dad during the ceremony as he married his son away. And of course, the adorable flower girls brought sweet laughter and joy to the whole event.
The bridal party had creative entrances for the reception – including their own unique dance moves. Alyssa’s father had a fun, and emotional, welcome to the reception as he reflected on his daughter’s life journey. We loved to see the love flowing from the family and friends joining them in their celebration. Alyssa and JT had the dance floor lit with charming string lights where they danced as a married couple for the first time. Then, friends and family joined them on the dance floor to dance the night away!

This place is beautiful & has everything you need. Plenty of room for everyone. It was almost perfect for us. It would be perfect for anyone that doesn't mind a lot of boat traffic. It's on a main stretch of the lake not far from a marina so the traffic was a lot more than we expected. Other than that, we loved it!

If you enjoy water sports and riding ATV's this is the spot!

The House was large and comfortable. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The seclusion was great for our large family. The lake is beautiful. Everyone in the area was kind and welcoming. We had a great trip!

Privacy and ease

We loved the kitchen- plenty of seating and even a second table for a puzzle. The view is so pretty and so unique- you don’t see another dock or house and it feels like the lake is yours.

Huge House

We had 4 families (16 people) stay here for a whole week. We never felt on top of each other. The house is divided up nicely to give everyone their space. The dock is awesome with not a ton of boat traffic. We hope to come back next year!!

Beautiful area and room for everyone

Communication with owner was great. Property is located in a beautiful, private area. Dock, patio, and back yard are perfect. Kitchen has been updated with modern features and this area is great for large group meals. Unfortunately we could not all sit and watch television as a group in the larger living area as there is no television in there. Some bedrooms had no dressers to keep clothing and no hangers in closets. Home is beautiful, just needs some updating and a good deep cleaning. Great experience on Lake Norris!

Beautiful Views & Perfect Property

This house is exceptional and well maintained. Loads of room inside and out for young children to roam. Plenty of parking and carport for unloading in the rain. There is a full media room with pool table and bar! The family loved their week here. Only suggestion we would offer is related to the boat dock. It is nearing the end of it's useful life. It is still adequate; but, if you're renting or bringing a boat, you'll be glad if you bring extra fenders and lines. We had a 21ft ski boat & 23 foot pontoon docked. We will rent again.

Wonderful Retreat to Nature

We had a family reunion over Thanksgiving at this property and it was perfect for our needs. We had 7 adults and 6 children ranging from 3 to 12, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We only left for a few grocery runs. The kids entertained themselves in the large living room and playroom downstairs and walked along the rocks by the lake (with some supervision). It took very little to inspire them in such a beautiful place, as none of us are from this area. I enjoyed the lake views in the morning with a cup of coffee on the porch, and doing yoga in a sunny spot in front of the gazebo. The kitchen fully met our needs and was well stocked. Two of the three ovens worked, which was all we needed, but there is a third that was not functioning at the time. The dining table fit all of us comfortably, even though there was another table. Several of us went fishing on the dock a few days. We had an issue with the direct tv not working in all the rooms at first, but Mary was very prompt in responding and it was ultimately resolved. We highly recommend this house!

Family Fun Getaway

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The large acreage, gentle slope to the lake, shady lawn, and views can't be beat. We loved the sidewalks to the dock for both the young and old in our group. The dock and gazebo both need some work, with the hole in the gazebo deck being a large safety hazard. The large house was very accommodating for our group. The kitchen was big enough for several people to work at once and the kitchen table could seat all of us. The downside was neither of the double ovens worked and the oven in the island didn't seem to be working properly. The bedrooms were all good size and the huge living room was a big plus. The deck upstairs should have some comfortable outdoor furniture instead of only the metal folding chairs that were provided. The downstairs patio was large and a great place to hang out, although some more comfortable seating could have made it even better. I gave this listing five stars mainly because of the property itself. I would give the house 4 stars. The non-working appliances and outdated formal decor in the living room contributed to this. We also found trash under one of the beds and the kitchen cabinets were old and scruffy looking. Overlooking these mainly minor negatives is easy because of the beautiful property and super lake access. Our family had a wonderful time at Serene Estates.

Family Vacation

We had a very enjoyable time. The house accommodated our family perfectly. It was comfortable and well equipped. The property is absolutely gorgeous. We would definitely consider renting the house for our next trip to Lake Norris.

Wedding Weekend

Upon arrival we met Mary, property manager. She was very pleasant. The location of the home was beautiful and secluded which was nice for all the privacy. The house was big enough for our gang of 13 plus two children. A few issues we had with the house, the kitchen refrigerator did not make ice so we had to transport ice from the ice machine downstairs up to the freezer upstairs. The basket in the freezer was broke so it became a pain every time you pulled the freezer drawer open. Never figured out how to lock up the house, good thing we never left. Regulating the temperature in the house was a big problem. It was really hot out and the upstairs during the heat of the day never got below 81 degrees but the downstairs was 68/69. Good thing we all took fans. Gazebo needs to have several boards replaced. Safety hazard especially with the kids. Coffeemaker stopped working the day of the wedding. That was not good with our coffee drinking family. I contacted Mary and she promptly brought us a new one. Thank you Mary! Overall our stay was a good one. Our daughter’s wedding at the house was gorgeous!

Minor Issues

This property was absolutely stunning. Large property with fire pit and lots of fishing spots. The dock however is not as pictured. It looks like it’s about to fall apart me and my family did not feel safe standing under it as one of the corners of the roof wasn’t even welded to the base anymore. They falsely advertised that you could go on top and lounge up there. Also be careful parking any boat to the dock the rubber bumper fell off and it’s very easy to scratch your boat against. Our boat was damaged due to this. The water pressure in the showers is terrible as well and if more than one person is taking a shower at a time or just using a sink the water in the shower will turn off.

Perfect family getaway

This home is perfect for families and Mary is wonderful to work with! We had seven kids, all under the age of 6, and were very comfortable in the home. The lot is ideal in that it is flat and well kept.

Perfect house for large group

We brought our five children and their families for a week. The house was clean, well stocked, and the floor plan was perfect for our stay. The bedrooms were nice with plenty of bathrooms for everyone and the kitchen was large enough with the extra oven for meal prep with the many meals made. We especially loved the privacy and the views of the lake. The teenagers enjoyed the gazebo late at night when the rest of the house was retiring. We fished, swam, kayaked, and made a lot of memories with family. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Perfect home

We stayed for 5 days with our family of 16. There was an amazing amount of room for everyone, especially the 5 teenagers. The kitchen is perfectly laid out and open to a great breakfast nook and dinning room, with plenty of seating for everyone. The rooms are spacious as well; although not a big issue, but they lacked storage for your personal items. No matter how great the home is, and it is great, the outdoor space is breathtaking. We had two older family members with us and having a ramp all the way to the dock and the gazebo, make it so much easier for them to participate in everything we did. Every single person in our group had an amazing time and hope to start planning for next year.

My amazing experience at Serene Estates!

June 13, 2016 We stayed at Serene Estates during June 11-13, 2016. Serene Estates is absolutely a stunning place that provided us a peaceful atmosphere. The accommodation was perfect with a 5-star hotel like amenities. We enjoyed the breathtaking Norris lake view, went on kayak trips and had fun with friends. We felt as if we were at a beautiful resort in Switzerland. We would certainly love to visit this place again as it helped us in releasing all our stresses.
