Host are Wonderful! Home was clean, very well stocked. Grounds are gorgeous and on the river with direct access. Would definitely recommend. I give this awesome place five stars. You will not want to leave.

Had a wonderful stay at Rivers Edge Retreat! The home was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. It had everything we needed, and the attention to detail made us feel right at home. The location was convenient, quiet, and perfect for relaxing while still being close to local attractions.The hosts was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out incredibly easy. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable place to stay!

I hesitate to say how great our experience was because I want to keep this treasure all for ourselves, but this place truly is a hidden gem on the Guadalupe! Our hosts made us feel welcomed before we even arrived and the house and location were perfect. Everything was extremely clean and our hosts went above and beyond for us by adding hospitable details that meant a lot. The house is perfect for a couple wanting to unwind and enjoy the river and all that the area has to offer complete with a fully stocked kitchen, an outdoor grill, and cold AC. We especially appreciated the privacy and peace that you normally cannot find in larger RV parks/camp resorts. We cannot wait to return and hope to make this a yearly trip for us!

If you are looking for a quiet place away from the rowdy crowds, this is the place for you!!! Rivers Edge Retreat has several rental houses on site. We rented all for several of my families. This gave us our own private acreage with river access and more room to wonder than you can get anywhere else. The whole place is covered in large, mature pecan, oak and hickory trees. It's completely shaded, so it kept us cool in the hot, late July season. And it's beautiful! The host, Carlton, was available to address any needs we had. Breakfast on the patios, river fun during the day and pickle ball tournament in the evenings... It was an AWESOME time! We got 2 thumbs up from everyone in our group and we plan to come back!

We loved this beautiful property. The owners are very accommodating and ensure you a great experience on your river vacation. They have deer feeders and we got to see buck/deer daily. There’s also an awesome river access which is the best part!

Long weekend getaway

We loved our time staying at Rivers Edge Retreat in the Honeymoon Cabin! It’s a beautiful property with easy river access, there are deer and wildlife galore. Carlton & Laura were perfect hosts and are super nice people. We’ll definitely stay with them again!!!Larry & Tatia

Relaxing getaway

Perfect relaxing getaway

Outstanding River Cottage

Excellent location ! Beautiful property. Love the environment and the hosts treat you like loving family members. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and the river access is lined with ancient cypress trees that are magnificent. Family friendly location. Very peaceful. We look forward to our next visit.

Perfect find

My husband and I stayed at this property and felt it was the perfect find. The hosts were welcoming and so nice. We walked down to the water, set up our chairs and enjoyed the floaters passing. I highly recommend any of their rentals on this property.

Perfect Getaway!

Location is amazing. Just a min walk from the river. Cabin was furnished with everything you could possibly need. The host even provided supplies to make s’more’s!! This is the cleanest rental we have stayed in. We will absolutely return!!
