Pet friendly But...There were important everyday items missing for normal living. The floors were filthy and there wasn't a mop available. There wasn't a toilet brush or dish cloths. The bed was ok for 1 or 2 nights but certainly not for an entire month. I think if a better cleaning company came in along with a maintenance company to complete the painting it would be more appealing. The outdoor furniture was broken and there wasn't a table to sit at for outside dining. We loved the area for our stay. It was a comfortable and quiet Key.A few updates to the cottage and It would be an oasis to enjoy every year.

Thank you so much for staying with us! We are so very responsive to any guests needs or requests and would have provided anything you needed. There is a table there, that is shared between the cottages, that someone moved it to the water side. Thank you for your suggestions, we will address these as well.
Easy and convenient to get to. The cottage is clearly on the older side but was clean and comfortable. Easy to drive and rideshare to Key West. Would definitely stay again.

The place had a few things going for it. It was clean and didn’t smell of mold, which is remarkable considering the obvious water damage that it sustained. It also had a new grill. That’s about it. The mattress was the worst I’ve seen in years. Funky fu For me it is in need of a renovation, and I’m on the less picky side.
Nice neighborhood, very clean inside, excellent kitchen, TV and bed...nice view of the inlet too. Some standing water on the property, but it had rained quite a bit.
Cozy little cottage that is perfect for a couple on vacation. Plenty of parking for our truck and small boat. Sunrise views and morning walks is how we started our day. Would recommended and reserve again for future stays in the Florida Keys.
The host was communicative and provided all the necessary information. The location was excellent and works great as a home base for exploring the keys. We found the front steps to be extremely steep and unsafe (two adults age 30). The door opened outward making it so you had to ascend the steps, open the door, and take two steps back down (going backward), fully open the door, then enter. Being young and able-bodied this was fine but would not be suitable for someone who has difficulty with stairs. The place was not as clean as advertised (crumbs on counters and food residue in sink). In addition, the toilet wobbles when sitting on it.
Wonderful retreat to stay at. Quiet, clean, easy to move around in. Thank you

As several other reviewers have said, getting in the front door is cumbersome and in general the place ‘looks clean’ in the pictures, However it is not! The oven was not clean and had cheese/ food crumbs all over it. They even had the audacity to ask for a tip for the cleaning person! Bathroom walls were splattered with what looked like blood and dirt. So many areas that were dirty and needed painting. Where there were painted walls (in the sitting room), it was rolled over onto the white trim and not touched up. In general, I recommend the owner spend the equivalent of one nights charge and about 4 hrs of time to easily address these issues. Even as a cottage, it is expected to meet a higher standard when someone is paying for it.
We had a great time! The cottage is definitely a no thrills option but worked great for a weekend getaway in the keys. The area is about a 40-45 min drive from Key West but there are plenty of great restaurants, boat & jet ski rentals and things to do around the area.
We just slept here. Spent all day in Key West. It's clean and quiet. The bed is comfortable.

I have lived in the Florida Keys for over 40 years, as I say, "I live and love the Florida Keys!" I love the water and everything about it. If you have never been here, you will fall in love, if you have been here, you know what I'm talking about...
Why they chose this property
My personal home is on the open water on Little Torch, this location is a straight shot to Looe Key Reef, for some of the best snorkeling, diving and fishing. And if you're just out for a boat ride and a relaxing day with friend, you are close to Marvin Key and the Content Keys.
What makes this property unique
Casual, unique, relaxing, open water sunrise views.
