Located on Dufur Brook in Glen Sutton this peaceful retreat, with views of mountains and rivers and surrounded by flower gardens is situated in one of the most charming regions of the Eastern Townships. Sutton and its surrounding area is well known for its artists and artisans. Gift and clothing boutiques, excellent bakeries and fine dining are all within a short distance.

A twenty minute drive from Sutton village and Mansonville, three different ski hills (Jay Peak, Owl's head and Sutton), golf courses, cross country ski trails, this is a great location for skiing, snowboarding, biking, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching or simply taking a long walk along wooded trails or picturesque mountain roads.
Built and designed by artists using local materials, this rustic yet comfortable home is fully equipped with all that is needed to create your own ideal vacation.

We have 3 chalets on 7 beautiful acres. The Chalet Romantique and the Chalet Magnifique are linked by a long annex, but both are completely private (private entrances, gardens, gazebos and accesses to the brook, etc). Chalet Sean is independent.
Most of our guests are couples who come to experience tranquility and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds our chalets. Our guests’ sense of solitude and peace is our priority. Snowmobiles are not allowed.

Kayaks and canoes may be rented 5 minutes from the chalet.

This stay was the perfect oasis for a peaceful weekend getaway. Elisa and Guy were wonderful hosts and really thought of everything in their vrbo. We lost power due to an intense wind storm and our hosts went out of their way to get us fresh coffee and croissants along with a generator to make us more comfortable. We were sad to leave and would absolutely stay here again!

I cannot offer enough encouragement to potential visitors to consider Chalet Magnifique - a truly beautiful streamside accommodation. After three visits I have yet to find anything that's been missed in insuring guests' comfort and in creating a space of real beauty and serenity. This extends even to the kitchen where it appears the tools for creating and serving just about everything are available. We are eager to return.

We had a magical stay in this lovely property. The grounds and gardens are exquisite and when coupled with the natural majestic beauty and sounds of the mountain brook at our feet, we felt incredibly fortunate to have this experience in such a private and tranquil way.

This is quite simply the finest short term rental we’ve ever stayed in. The decor, the amenities, the setting are all next-level. Owners are obviously very worldly/well traveled and the chalet is adorned with things I assume they’ve picked up in their travels, as well as hundreds of books, vintage and otherwise. The kitchen is outfitted with top-notch pans, cutlery, kitchen devices, utensils etc. Not the usual dollar store garbage most STRs have. The property is idyllic to the point of magical. The owners Elisa & Guy (and their dog Coal!) are wonderful. We will definitely be back.

This was our return stay at this gorgeous chalet. Peaceful and serene escape surrounded by the beauty of fall foliage in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. This very unique chalet is spacious with large stone fireplaces in the bedroom and living area. All the comforts of home with beautiful personal touches. Sit by the outdoor fireplace along the brook with unforgettable views of the mountains. This is our favorite place to stay. And the hosts are warm and welcoming. A return visit did not disappoint

I would be very reluctant to return to a property if I was not genuinely impressed with all aspects of the experience. In view of my first stay at Chateau Magnifique, I had no doubts as to my willingness to come back. Our second visit was as delightful as the first - every detail of the accommodation impresses. We fully intend to return a number of times in the future - ideally sampling the joys of the property in all four seasons.

Such a lovely place

Staying in the chalet was like being in someone's beautifully appointed home without the sense that they live there and are just making room for you. There were so many unique spaces, both indoors and out, that opened onto lovely scenes or were themselves very inviting. The kitchen was a cook's paradise,kiugliugiug the bathroom a bather's dream and the grounds worthy of simply staying in one place. The house if filled with live plants and a small library's worth of books, and to finish it off, the hosts went above and beyond to be gracious and accommodating.

Un endroit et un hébergement exceptionnels!

Rarement a-t-on l'occasion de passer un si agréable moment dans un endroit qui respire la tranquillité et le bonheur. L'aménagement paysager ferait l'envie de bien des jardiniers professionnels et la maison est aménagée avec goût, souci du détail et confort. Rien n'y manque. Pour nous, un gros WOW!
