This gorgeous Lindal Cedar Home (Make Sure You See Video!) boasts over 3300 sq ft of great living space on 3 levels with 2 well-equipped kitchens. Recently renovated, redecorated. Room enough for one large multi generational family or TWO families with 2 spacious fireplaced living areas, 1 on the main floor and another in the living area of the lower level. Separate kids' TV/ game area as well. 6 bedrooms and 5 full baths include a large master suite with a king bed, full bath, whirlpool tub, and private deck, a second king bdrm upstairs and a queen bedroom upstairs. The main floor has lg queen bedroom off the kitchen. Lower level has a queen bedroom with private bath, a second bedroom with full/twin bunk combo and 2 pull out sofas. With the mountain just 2 miles away this spot can't be beat!! House sits high up on the beautiful South Hill Area. Shuttle to Okemo available right at the bottom of the hill if you prefer that to parking at the mountain.
The Okemo area offers abundant opportunity to ski, snowboard, snowmobile, fish, golf, boat, hike, cycle or just sightsee in one of the most beautiful areas while taking in breathtaking vistas.
This home offers the perfect combination of open floor plan and contemporary design while maintaining the warmth and charm of the rustic country home. Fully furnished, you will find the large fireplaced great room on the main floor to have ample seating for a group of 12-14 people, the dining area with a large round table is suitable for 8 or more to sit around, the main floor kitchen fully equipped and with both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. There's a washer and dryer right off the kitchen and the screened porch right off the kitchen is always a favorite spot in warmer weather.
The main floor bedroom has a queen and a full bath right off the kitchen, lending this room perfectly for those special grandparents or as an additional master suite.
For fitness enthusiasts there is a recumbent bike in the house and in warmer weather an ample backyard allows for frisbee, tossing a ball or other lawn games.

We had a wonderful stay at the Okemo Vacation House. This was the second time we stayed at this property and our family thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The house and amenities helped make our stay special. From the location, the family room with plenty of seating and a warm fireplace, hot tub and stocked kitchen, our three night stay was perfect. The communication with the owner (Steve) was timely and effective. We really enjoyed enjoyed this property for our extended family annual VT weekend!

Great house great time

House is fantastic only 5 mins drive from mountain. Plenty of space to hang out together. Hot tub is added bonus! Owner was very communicative and helpful before and during stay. Highly recommend

Our 3-generation family of 11 enjoyed a long weekend here. It was very comfortable, and had lots of room for us to gather or to spread out. The owners were extremely nice, easy to get hold of when we had questions, and very helpful.

Lovely house and great location

We loved the house. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Being only a few minutes outside of downtown Ludlow, you have easy access to everything and only a short drive to the mountain. The Hot tub was great after a long day of skiing.

Back to the Bear House

Our family of 12 has stayed at the "Bear House" many times over recent years. We have always found it clean, with everything we needed. The owners have been excellent in their communications with us, and it feels like home.

Excellent Stay

We had a great time. The house was very spacious and extremely comfortable. If it were winter it would be the perfect spot to ski at Okemo. We hiked, swam, ran and visited friends. All in all the trip was wonderful, in a large part because of the home we stayed in. Would absolutely stay there again.

Great Ski House

The place was great! The owners gave very clear instructions on getting into the house, and the house exceeded our expectations. The house has a nice fireplace and very comfortable sitting areas. The house is just 2 miles to Okemo, and a mile from town.

Holiday ski trip!

It was great to be back for another 4 day New Years ski trip! We are three families ( 6 adults and 7 kids age 6-10). The house is great inside and out ( hot tub!). Weather wasn’t great for skiing, but being so close to the mountain made it easy to get some runs in and get back to the house. Good times.

Christmas Ski Vacation without snow

We found the house clean, comfortable with an ample bedrooms, bathrooms and living space.There is parking for 4plus cars. The hot tub was a a major hit with my grandchildren. Oh, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need and beds were comfortable

Wonderful home with exquisite interior and close to mountain

My friends and I had an incredible time staying at this home. It is a big ski lodge with the ability to sleep many people comfortably. The beds are more comfortable than mine at home. There is a big room with plenty of seating area so my friends and I could all sit around the fire and socialize without feeling too cramped. Amenities are in great condition. Perfect for friends or a big family to get away. Highly recommend this place!! Will definitely be staying here again.

Best Okemo House ever!

We had the most absolute incredible time at your home. It is so conveniently located, and we just enjoyed ourselves beyond belief. The fact that the downstairs with separate from the upstairs give us an opportunity for the teenagers to enjoy themselves downstairs while we were upstairs, the three moms, enjoying our wine and the fire. The house is amazing. We would love, love to come back next year. Thank you so much for the most incredible birthday weekend I have ever had. Your place is amazing and I will pass the word on to anyone I know.

Fantastic Place

Everything about this house, location and the owners (Stephen & Susan) are amazing. The location to Okemo, house, bedrooms, bathrooms and the main sitting area were perfect for our family. Everyone commented on their beds on how comfortable they were and the Master BR was unreal! Loved the themes in every room, very creative! All bedrooms were nice size and all bathrooms were full. We loved the outdoor hot tub especially after a full day of skiing, helped with the aching and sore muscles. Thank you to the owners who allowed us to share their getaway home and all that it offered. We would love to rent again next ski season. The entire experience was simply amazing and the house was perfect for our family size.

Great Family Getaway

The Okemo Vacation House was an excellent property to help our extended family create lifelong memories! We stayed at the property MLK weekend 2024 and had mixed weather for the weekend. Saturday was not favorable for skiing so we stayed at the house which more than adequately supported our family. We had 14 family members (4 families, all cousins) ages 4 to 70 stay. The house never felt small, especially with the young ones. The house was fully stocked and the hot tub was perfect! On Sunday we skied at Okemo, which is only minutes away. Finally, the owners were extremely good to work with and communicated/ were available throughout the entire process (booking to departure). Definitely recommend the house for anyone looking for a great ski house at Okemo.

We had a wonderful stay in Okemo. Steven was a very communicative host who addressed all questions about the property. The house was clean and inviting with all the amenities as listed. There was plenty of room for my family of eight. We had to go to Jackson Gore for ski school but it really wasn't far, 10 minutes. We will book there again.

Steven and Susan have skied since Okemo was only Poma lifts (1960's).
We love Okemo and Ludlow - We are a blended family with 5 grown kids plus SO's and 2 elderly moms. This house works so well fo the way this place unwinds ur all of us to get together. We love our location and the Great walking - running loops right outside our door, being close to the VAST Trail. We Love this place, our neighbors and the way this place unwinds all of us so well!!

Why they chose this property

We looked at over 50 houses in the area during roughly a 1 year period. Finally, we found the perfect house.
Plenty of rooms and the lower level (with separate entry ) is essentially a separate living area capable of sleeping 6, with 2 bedrooms, 2 full Baths, 2 living areas and a full kitchen.

What makes this property unique

We have a very complete Comcast Package, High Speed internet and 3 large flat screen TV's. There are games, movies, a recumbant bike, and many books. House comes complete with bed linens and towels. There are 2 fireplaces, one in the large great room for everyone to come together. There is also a large dining area to accommodate a crowd. House has 5 full baths and the Master suite boasts a jacuzzi tub and its own private balcony.
