Regardless of where you end up booking on Tybee, before booking please look up local events/parades, road work, possible future storms, weather and tides. Traffic can be backed up due to major events or an accident on the island, or changes in weather like rain lead to a lot of people leaving the beach all at once, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and know what's going on! If you decide to go into Savannah for the day, plan ahead for your return at night. It is fully recommended to do this research in advance and to monitor radar on your stay. Tybee is a super fun place and our Island loves to have a good time. We often have fireworks for major holidays also which are well attended. During a Full Moon, especially on a Super Moon, a high tide or even a King Tide can happen which is when the tides are even higher than normal. While very rare, it is possible, water can also cross over the main road US Hwy 80 coming onto and leaving the Island so please plan ahead for that. The city and county may close roads temporarily as it isn't safe to drive through water so you may need to plan accordingly to arrive early or later to the Island.
Please note that on the 7th day of your booking, you have the option to pay for a second cleaning to have fresh linens on the bed and new towels. However, starting from the 8th day, it's mandatory to have the cleaning service and fee.
ONE FREE PARKING PASS good for your stay which allows parking Island-wide in public spaces which is worth $48 per 8AM to 8PM per day! This is only good during your stay and must be returned to the room prior to check out. If Pass is accidentally taken home or not returned will be billed ($500) to the guest, a police report will be filed, no exceptions- please be considerate and thoughtful to the next guests! These passes are not disposable and very hard to come by. Since parking is so important to keeping the island in good condition for your next visit, there are no free, public parking spaces on Tybee.
Parking regulations are enforced 8AM – 8PM, 365 days a year. A few spots still have meters, though most parking places have been converted to Pay-&-Display parking.
The mission of Tybee Island’s Parking Service Division is to support and enhance the experience of visiting Tybee Island by providing safe, accessible on-street and surface-lot parking. Staff enforces City rules, policies, regulations, and ordinances as they pertain to parking issues. When you park, be sure to pay the appropriate meter or locate the nearest Pay-&-Display Station to purchase time.
*For stays less than seven days your towels will not be replaced. Stays over 7 days require a second cleaning mid stay*

This unit was exactly as described! It was perfect for one person and delivered on the excellent location both to the beach and restaurants, shops, and bars.
I would recommend bringing your own flatware and a full length mirror between the frig and bed would be nice.
The only issue I had was resolved. I would go back to stay again!

The room or little house was perfect for me. The location to the beach and food was perfect. Jenny was super helpful. The cabana was cute and a wonderful place to hang out. I will be back. I would rather have a direct conversation than going through Verbo because the platform isn’t the easiest to work with but it was difficult enough to take away from the great experience.
The location is great- close to everything. The place got the job done, but don’t expect any bells and whistles. I’d suggest a full length mirror and maybe a small/half ironing board. The downfall of staying here vs other condo complexes is the parking. The few times i have stayed on the island, it was available and included. The security is also somewhat questionable as a single female traveling solo. The space isn’t located inside the inn per se- it’s basically a little shed on the inn’s property tucked away underneath some stairs. All in all- not terrible, but not over the top.

Bad Start - Good ending
The early problems were probably my fault. I had no idea that I would get my 4 numbers in an email an hour prior to check in. When I arrived, were it not for guest, I would not have gotten in. Then I had no idea that a parking pass was not available. After getting settled, I really enjoyed the room and area. Bed was good. Shower was good. A blind was bent badly, and when I tried to close it, it snapped. I needed the privacy. I would stay there again, not that I understand getting in.

Mixed Feelings
I have mixed feelings about my stay. On the one hand, the property was as described and fit what I needed. It's small, but cozy. I didn't mind that at all! I understood that right upfront and the owner messaged me to confirm it before booking. She was very communicative via Vrbo. However, there were other issues all the way through. The owner would not provide me with an address. I found that odd. I had a 4 1/2 - 5 hour drive and I was told that I would not get that information until an hour before check-in (at 2:00pm). I was literally begging for the address. I was seriously beginning to wonder if it was a scam. (This was my first time using Vrbo.) She finally sent me the address the day of my trip after I messaged her again saying that I would not arrive before the 3pm check in. Secondly, parking was a challenge. If you rent this property, there are things you need to know BEFORE you get to the island and the owner is only going to provide the basics. Because I haven't been to Tybee in awhile I wasn't aware of the new parking measures. Do yourself a favor and do your own research. Here's a link that explains it: https://tybeeisland.com/tybee-information/tybee-parking-information/. I wish I had known this beforehand. It would have saved me a lot of time, trouble and stress. Apparently if you are a college student who Ubers and can afford the rate per night stay in a tiny room, this is perfect for you. Otherwise, pay the extra for a place that provides parking. In summation, the rental was what it was advertised to be and except for a couple of minute housekeeping items, I'd give it a solid 4. To avoid any parking confusion or debacles, do the research on your own to find out how to pay and park so that you don't stress about it. The owner was great about responding to messages through the Vrbo site. No problems there. Lastly, if you're stressing about the address because you are making a road trip, hire a private investigator to get it because the owner is not going to give you the address until she's good and ready.
