Situated on a 2000 hectare working cattle property in the Snowy Mountains. The workers cottage provides a comfortable and peaceful getaway.
Surrounded by rolling hills and endless skies, Fontenoy is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Ideal for couples, groups of friends and families.
Parents love the freedom Fontenoy offers. Children can interact with the farm animals and our family dogs Tuke and Ripper.
Spend hours exploring the hidden creeks, river and fairy hills around the property.
Lounge on the wrap around deck or sit by the outdoor fire at night watching the stars.
A summer favourite is swimming in the pristine waterhole, followed by a BBQ on the river. In winter the ski fields are only a short drive away.

Great Farm Stay!

The house is really nice and has everything you need. Such nice scenery there and the kids loved it. The night sky is also excellent! Our host was great and very quick to communicate. This was our second time staying here and it won’t be the last. Highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic warm cottage ideal for families, couples & pets.Fabulous coffee machine and wood heater. Excellent facilities perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a day on the slopes. “ Fontenot”was the perfect stay for us this winter holiday . We would love to return in summer to enjoy the fabulous new wrap around deck and open fire.Children loved the chooks and eggs.

We loved our stay at Fontenoy! Stayed for a few days to ski at Selwyn Resort which is just 50-minutes away. The cottage was so neat and well stocked with everything we needed, including coffee and fresh eggs! We arrived late at night and the house was toasty warm from the wood fire. Our kids loved exploring the farm, feeding the chickens and playing by the river. We will definitely be back again! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful and cozy ski trip

Our stay in Fontenoy Cottage was perfect. The fire place is amazing and keeps the whole cottage snug and warm. The new bathroom and kitchen both have everything you need for your stay. My teens loved the property (and Rippa, Daisy and Grouser - the farm dogs) so much they made me promise to return. We could have easily stayed longer and loved coming back each day after skiing.

Relaxing getaway

Stayed with friends and had a lovely relax. Loved the fishing spot by the river. Host was quick to respond to any communications. Only comment for improvement to have doors on all bedrooms- the one closest to the front door had no door which limited privacy.

The perfect Farm Stay

As a family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fontenoy Cottage. The wide-open space, swimming in the river, and exploring the local area were highlights of our trip. Our boys had a great time riding their bikes on the trails. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, I highly recommend Fontenoy Farm. Ineke was incredibly easy to communicate with, and the cottage was equipped with all the modern conveniences.

Amazing mini-break from the city!

From the moment we got there, the atmosphere was peaceful and the landscape beautiful. The cottage was so well appointed, clean and freshly renovated kitchen and bathroom and the pot belly fire kept us all so warm. We just loved chopping our own wood and collecting the fresh eggs! We will definitely be coming back!

Peaceful retreat

A beautifully presented cottage. Ineke has thought about all the needs a family might have. It was a pleasure to stay here and just chill with the kids. The farm has a genuinely welcoming feel which started when we arrived to a lit fire. The dogs are friendly and very well behaved. Would love to go back in the summer.

Amazing Country Experience.

This property ticked all the boxes for our trip away. Located in the heart of the Snowies, it provided the perfect base for our winter holiday. The accommodation was clean and modern, with a full size kitchen and an amazing modern bathroom. The beds were super comfy and the fireplace kept us toasty at all times. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to walk/drive their property to view the spectacular Murrumbidgee River and the abundant wildlife. Our son loved running around with the farm dogs Tuke and Ripper, and also enjoyed feeding the chickens. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommended staying.

Property was easily accessible, very clean and had everything we needed. It was very cold when we were there but the fire kept us very warm and there were no cold draughts at all. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would ever need including fresh eggs!
