Stayed at the property for 4 days of fishing, the fishing was great and so was the accomodation. Nice and warm with both wood heaters fired up. Great comms with host, we will be back
House suited our family awesome. Few issues raised with owner and answered well. Would be better if a list of what was expected in the house would have been more beneficial

What a view!
Lovely owners, fireplaces kept the house warm and it even snowed while we were toasting marshmallows! Close to the snowfields for a day of fun with the kids.

Thanks Kim We still have a few more things to do to the house but its coming together slowly, but it is nice and warm in winter and being double brick is cool in summer it works well , hope your family enjoyed the stay. Andy & Sue
The House was exactly as described.
The host was very friendly and helpful.
Thank you Andy and Sue!
We had a fabulous stay and were very lucky with the weather. It was snowing!
We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time.
Plenty of room for 2 families with teenagers.
The downstairs part of the house is perfect for the teenagers to hang out.
The house has 2 wood combustion heaters that warm the house nicely..
Owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful
Our family of six enjoyed our stay here. Good proximity to selwyn snowfields (45 mins). We enjoyed being able to cook our own breakfast and pack lunch each day. Short drive to Adaminaby for dinner. Suggested improvements would be some electric heating (other than electric blankets) as the wood fire is the only heating which is time consuming and not really very effective in winter there for a big house. The leather lounge was very cold. Also some general maintenance as the heater in top bathroom was broken, advertised things like Xbox and Wii were unusable (possibly never used (due to old battery acid rusting and broken controller)). Some modern amenities like wifi for use of internet or Netflix would make this property more enjoyable and comfortable, as well as more blankets. Lovely kind hosts. Thank you for having us, We enjoyed our first trip to the snow.

Ok for a boys fishing trip but not a family holiday
The house was on a great location with stunning views but that was about the only positive. It was filthy - dead spiders everywhere including hanging off the pots and pans, every bit of crockery and cutlery had to be washed before using as it was covered in left over food from previous guests. Cupboards and fridge were filled with expired food. Teapot was unusable due to caked on tea that had solidified and could not be removed. Ceilings covered in cobwebs and mould. Blinds broken and not effective. Microwave did not work. Kettle downstairs kept tripping the fuse box left over socks from previous guests were hanging to dry inside wardrobe, bunk room blankets smelt like urine. Very cold house although supply of chopped wood was excellent. Child’s high cost was covered in mould and unusable. Stove top element did not work - it was on or off with no inbetween - everything just burned.

Dear Lisa,
I would like to take the opportunity to address issues identified by you and posted on Stayz on 25th July 2022.
We are disappointed you did not enjoy your stay at Pindari.
I dispute strongly your claim that all crockery and cutlery had to be washed prior to use. Both our cleaner, and the renters who stayed at Pindari immediately before your stay also dispute this claim.
Regarding the issue of open packages of food in fridge and cupboards- this property is not a fully serviced apartment, nor is food provided as part of the service. Basic food items, and items left by renters can be found in the cupboards, and at times are left in the fridge for the next occupant out of curtesy. The nearest shop is 8 kms. away and not always open. The answer is simple- if it doesn’t meet your standards- don’t use it.
In regard to appliances not working- we have checked the oven and stove hotplates. All are working correctly. The microwave downstairs was not turned on at the powerpoint, and therefore did not work. We did find that the kettle did trip the safety switch and in fact one of the blinds has been damaged. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and be assured these problems will be rectified in due course. We rely on our renters to bring such issues to our attention, as these issues can be missed in the routine cleaning process.
I am not sure what the ‘child high cost” which was reportedly covered in mould and unusable is. We do not provide a child’s high chair in this rental.
This house is situated in the snow belt, and is heated by two large wood heaters (upstairs and downstairs), which heat every part of the house if heaters are lit and kept burning.
Our cleaners are very thorough and committed, as we are, to providing a pleasant experience for our renters. We have contacted other renters who have stayed with us this season, all of whom indicate there was no issue with the claims made in this review.
Once again we are saddened that you found our accommodation lacking, but believe that this property is a well presented and appointed rental property for families and fishermen alike.
We wish you better luck with your rental property choices in the future.
Regards
Andrew and Susan Gillahan
Owners -Pindari .
Great location close to the lake with wonderful views. Property set up with everything you need, great communication from the host. Snowing when we arrived but the fire warmed up the house quickly. Highly recommended.
As we walked in I was taken away to a whole other world. I have always dreamed of living in a place and home like this and the 4 days we were there were just what I had imagined. We felt so welcomed and at home it was hard to remember it wasn't our home! I was so touched by all the extras, all the food, movies, books, magazines and the toboggan!
Thanks SO much Andy and Susan for allowing my family to enjoy your beautiful home
Large rustic cottage by the Lake with a superb views
The property is a large rustic style cottage with superb views of Lake Eucumbene NSW. It has a relaxed homey feel about it with plenty of room for 2 or 3 families. The cottage was clean, neat and tidy without the 'cold, antiseptic, bleached white' look of many newer properties. The hosts made us feel most welcome and couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. Despite the fairly freezing winter nights, the two large wood fired heaters kept the upstairs and downstairs warm and cozy. Perfect for groups - families, skiers and or fishing enthusiasts. I'll be booking this place again.
From the moment we arrive, the house felt homely and ready for us to occupy, it was clean, spacious and well equipped with more than you expect from a holiday stay. What an outlook so quiet and tranquil, We didnt want to leave. Wallabies visit in the morning and friendly neighbours. It was great, communication with the owner was easy and xant wait to visit again. Thank you
