This villa really is as good as it looks. It is spacious and very well equipped. Everything was very clean, including the good quality bed linen and towels. The villa is a few hundred metres down a good dirt track, off a quiet road between Nerotrivia and Dafni. The location is excellent, with superb views across the sea to the front, and to the mountains behind. There is hardly any traffic on the road, and much less on the track, so it was very quiet and peaceful. There is a long pebble beach at the bottom of the track, good for beach combing, and the water was very clean. The villa also has a large clean pool. The local village, Nerotrivia, is very small but has a baker, butcher and mini-market, although we tended to go to Politika a few kilometres further away, but with a lovely cake shop, two more bakers, and several tavernas at the beach (which again is pebbles. There are lots of good little Greek tavernas to eat at in North Evia - we didn't have a bad meal anywhere - although if you are in Chalkida and feel like a change, we had a really good Italian meal at In Bocca al Lupo (if I have the name right, anyway it's near the old bridge, right along the water front). Ares the owner of the villa was very helpful and prompt when we made our booking, and his associate Dimitris saw us to the villa, and was also very helpful. We only have good things to say - if you like Greece and you want a villa, Arethousa is excellent!
