Beautiful - classy villa

It’s our third time in this villa. Wonderfully remote but still accessible to all you need. A great pool, all facilities you could want, good and reliable air con. The perfect villa for a family of 3 or 4. We had five in it and that was fine too - but it meant 3 kids sharing. I suspect we will return.

Beautiful villa in stunning area

We had a fabulous week at Villa Semele. The villa is beautiful, clean, spacious, well looked-after, well-equipped and we it was perfect for 5 of us. The information provided by the owner Ares was helpful. Loved the area, quiet, green, beach walking distance. Recommend highly!

Peace and tranquillity in unspoilt Evia

The perfect setting for slowing down and contemplating the view, every bit as perfect as the photos suggest.If you see solitude and privacy as benefits worth a bit of isolation, the Stone Cottage fits the bill.The nature pond above the swimming pool (abuzz with dragonflies) and the lavender beds alongside the frontage (abuzz with bees) demonstrate a commitment to the wider environment

Memorable holifay in an idyllic property

Just back from 2 weeks at Villa Semelle..Such a hidden gem! The standard was excellent.. clean, comfortable, well equipped. The pool is fantastic. The terrace a great asset. And the views are stunning.. especially at sunset.The perfect villa for a getaway and relax type holiday.. but also a great base to explore the island.Thank you to the wonderful Katarina for keeping the villa so clean, providing so many suggestions for beaches andctavernas and for a lovely evening drinking her wine. Of particular note.. the butchers and meat taverna in Nerotrivia, the baker (Katerina) in Politika, the taverna in Vlachia and the taverna and beach at Dafni (better weekdays). We also had a memorable time wandering around the promenade and town of Kalkida and can recommend the Souk restaurant.Altogether a magical stay in a very soecisl villa.

Fantastic relaxing break

Had the most relaxing stay in this wonderful private villa. Highly recommend if you want peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. A car is essential if you want to visit tavernas in the surrounding area - but there is one in the local village which is about a 30 mins walk. If we had to comment on one small area for improvement it would be the seat pads and sun lounger cushions. We could only find 1 cushion for the lounger and the seat pads could do with updating as faded and a bit tatty but it's so very minor in the bigger scheme of things.

Das Haus ist ein Juwel. Der Blick von der großen Terrasse ist fulminant. Die Architektur aus Naturstein uns Holz ist shr ansprechend, die Kombination mit den Möbeln und dem Kamin gibt einem das Gefühl, in eibem kleinen Rittergut zu residieren. Das Haus ist excellent ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche lädt dazu ein, gemütliche Abendessen zuzubereiten. Man kann direkt am Pool grillen, die Alleinlage gibt einem viel Freiheit. Der Gastgeber war stets in Kontakt und hat bei allen Fragen geholfen. Zum Meer ist es nicht weit, e gibt Möglichkeiten zu wandern (Küste, Schlucht, Berge). Wir waren begeistert vom Haus und von der Insel Euböa, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad hier. Het huis is pico bello in orde. Voldoende keukengerei, heerlijke bedden. Het terras is prachtig met een fantastisch uitzicht en het zwembad is heerlijk. Ook de muziekinstallatie waar je je gsm mee kan verbinden is handig! Wij hebben een heerlijke, rustige, sportieve vakantie gehad! Er liggen handige kaarten in het huisje om het eiland te kunnen verkennen. De host is ook zeer communicatief en hulpvaardig. We komen terug!

Très bel endroit avec vue magnifique

Séjour des plus agréable dans une villa authentique avec beaucoup de charmes. Climatisation dans chaque pièce et distribution des pièces très bien agencée ! La terrasse est grande et très agréable avec une vue imprenable qui invite à la méditation. La piscine est grande et très très agreable Je recommande vivement cet endroit. De plus, le propriétaire Ares est vraiment charment et répond très rapidement.

Pure Erholung in wunderbarer Umgebung

Das Haus liegt traumhaft schön in der Natur mit einem unglaublichen Ausblick auf das Meer und die Olivenbäume der Umgebung. Perfekter Rückzugsort für zwei

Das Haus ist wunderschön und fast alleinliegend, erreichbar über eine bei Erstkontakt abenteuerlich wirkende Schotterstrasse, die aber keine achsenbrechenden Schlaglöcher aufweist. Zu einem unbewirtschafteten Kiesstrand sind es tatsächlich nur 15 Minuten zu Fuss (nota bene: da stecken in paar Höhenmeter drin - der Rückweg ist etwas länger). Die Küche ist gross genug, um mit Spass an der Sache zu zweit dort Essen zuzubereiten, überragend gut ausgestattet bis hin zu Knoblauchpresse und Messerschärfer. Gleiches gilt für Handtücher, man kann bei Bedarf nachnehmen. Auch Pool-Handtücher werden einige gestellt (mit der Bitte, sie zum Ende des Urlaubs durchzuwaschen, was qua vorhandener Waschmaschine kein Problem ist). Wenn man dringend etwas bemängeln möchte, dann vielleicht den fehlenden Sonnenschirm am Pool - wir haben aber einfach die Liegen auf die riesige gedeckte Terrasse gestellt, wo auch der Esstisch steht; das war sehr gemütlich. Zu zweit hat es uns wirklich an nichts gemangelt. Da das Haus grundsätzlich für bis zu vier Personen ausgelegt ist (ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett, eines mit zwei Einzelbetten), können die drei vorhandenen Poolliegen bei Vollbelegung natürlich etwas knapp werden. Liegen-Auflagen gibt es nur eine; wir haben die zweite Liege mit Sesselauflagen bestückt - das ging prima. In der Umgebung selbst ist im September nicht viel los, aber genau das hatten wir gesucht. Fahrräder hatten wir dabei (Empfehlung: Mountainbike und Fitness bezüglich Steigungen).

Une belle maison dans un calme absolu

Nous avons passé 3 semaines de rêve dans cette belle maison de pierre, au milieu des oliviers, avec une vue magnifique sur la mer. La piscine est parfaite. Ares est plein d'attention et d'une grande disponibilité. Il y a une plage de galets en bas du chemin, déserte, magnifique. Traumhaus

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in diesem Traumhaus absolut genossen. Alles da, was man braucht. Direkter Kontakt zum Vermieter und seinen Leuten vor Ort top, sehr hilfsbereit. Jetzt die Gründe für teilweise nur 4 Sterne: Aufgrund Corona musste ja mit Desinfektionsmitteln geputzt werden, das führte dazu, dass die Beschichtung auf der Küchenarbeitsfläche sich löst und sich klebrig anfässt, was sehr unangenehm ist Die Sitzauflagen für die Terrassenstühle sind kaputt, schon mehrmals gestopft, sollten mal ausgetauscht werden Das Haus wird für 4 Leute angeboten, dann wären auch 4 intakte Liegen am Pool schön Aber wir konnten auch so die unschlagbaren Sonnenuntergänge und Sternenhimmel genießen und kommen gerne wieder

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage

Tolles Haus mit viel Platz und guter und reichhaltiger Ausstattung. Schnelle Kommunikation mit dem sehr freundlichen Vermieter. Im Winter Vorsicht, die Bäder sind nicht beheizt. Der Weg zum Strand ist steil (Auto mit Allrad Antrieb notwendig) oder zu Fuß. Der Strand ist leer und kieselig (Badeschuhe mitnehmen). Toller Pool und schöbe große Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick.

Erholung pur

Wir hatten eine wunderbare und erholsame Woche in der Villa Semele. Wer es wirklich ruhig mag, ist hier perfekt aufgehoben! Check-in und Check-out war sehr unkompliziert. Der Sonnenuntergang am Strand (zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten, Rückweg etwas länger, per Auto 5 Minuten) ist ein absolutes Muss. Der Strand dort ist eher kieselig (am besten mit Badeschuhen), aber man ist fast alleine. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gibt Handtücher für den Pool. Die Sitzgelegenheiten draußen sind inzwischen etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Da wir eine sehr heiße Woche hatte, fehlte uns lediglich ein Sonnenschirm am Pool (und vielleicht ein kleiner Sonnenschirm für den Strand), so dass man auch hätte dort liegen können. Der Pool ist wirklich groß - unsere Kinder haben es geliebt. In den umliegenden Dörfern und an den Stränden gibt es viele Tavernen und kleine Supermärkte.

The most beautiful setting and jaw dropping views!

We had such a relaxing time at Villa Semele, so relaxing that we didn't stray too far from the villa for our entire stay. The views looked amazing online but really do take your breath away, and are a perfect back drop to the wonderful pool which was both large and deep enough to suit two older teens. The villa itself is simple but elegant and has everything you might need, all to a very high standard. It's an easy drive from the airport and although there are plenty of things to do (a car is a must) with only a week's stay we tended to stay poolside and then hit the beach late afternoon. The restaurant fare is quite simple but the village taverna in Nerotrivia was lovely and the staff attentive and friendly. We definitely plan to return and explore the region a little further, and would stay at the villa again in a heartbeat. Truly fabulous!
