Beautiful Private Home Near Cascade Lift

This home is located on the National Forest line in Cascade Village. Lift #20 at Cascade Hotel is a short distance from our home, with convenient parking nearby. The home sits at THE highest point in Cascade Village and is nestled against National Forest land, so it offers a great combination of views of Vail valley and the mountains out front, and tranquil very private mountain views out back (we often see deer and foxes out the back windows).

The home sleeps up to 10 in four bedrooms (additional pullout couch in den), and is more than ample for 2-3 families to share (also includes one private garage parking spot with room to store skis and snowboards). Kids can be entertained downstairs (wii, videos, etc.) while parents relax in peace upstairs with the views and the (real wood) fireplace. The house also includes a well-equipped kitchen, stocked supplies, a 55" 4K TV, three other flat screen TVs, a full cable lineup, a 8 persons hot tub in a totally private and secluded area with a view of the forest and the stars, and newer furniture throughout. There is also a great restaurant, and a lively bar/lounge for apris ski, all a short distance away at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. There is a free shuttle from the nearby Grand Hyatt Hotel to Lionshead and Vail Village. The kids can sled in a nearby field. Note that the house is a mountain property and with the great views and seclusion comes a some stairs and a driveway that is a bit more curved. A 4WD IS A MUST IN WINTER. Also the driveway and one wall is shared with the home next door, but it is extremely private with its own garage and entrance. Vail STR #006959.

Great Ski House

Great location, close to slopes, well equipped for 2 families. Beds and rooms were comfortable and house came with a lot of fun games for evenings in. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect Ski Destination Home

Clean, well-stocked kitchen. Perfect location to hit the lifts at Cascade. Hot tub was perfect and the views from the deck were beautiful. Everyone in our party had a wonderful time.

Wonderful vacation!

We loved everything about this house - its location, ease of check in and cleanliness. And it’s actually nicer in person. The host was accessible and helpful, but we had no issues during our stay. Don’t hesitate to book this - you’ll love it.

The Perfect Home For Your Family Ski Trip!

Our Family had a great time in this Vail home. The location is perfect, close to slopes and shopping, yet quietly tucked away at the top of a quiet road. We loved all the common spaces, like the cozy fireplace sitting area, big table for meals, the incredibly well-equipped kitchen, a bonus game room stocked with games and a hot tub for apre ski. Plus, lots of comfy bedrooms, each with it's own bath. Nice touches like a detailed note from the host with lots of tips on skiing in the area and providing fire starters and lots of wood for the first night's fire. Plus, the owners was super-responsive and very kind. We can't recommend it more highly.

Great Location with many amenities

We had a great stay at the property. The unit is very well equipped, very clean, and the location is very easy for those who want to ski (nearby lift is an easy 1 minute drop off from home). Home is higher up the hill so an all wheel vehicle helps, still the main road was scraped often, and access was not hard. Very close to everything and once you get a lay of the land, you will find it very agreeable for your stay. They have a very good appreciation for what families want during their stay, from the kitchen to the spa, this place is well equipped for a great stay. Our family will remember this trip with great memories. The 200 feet from the road to the home is steep, but slow down and you get used to it very soon.

Nice home with good location. Had all the amenities one would want in a vacation rental property.

Rental property was not prepared for our arrival. The property manager was not informed of our rental and upon arrival we found the home, not locked, sheets and dowels on floor in all room and towns against a flooded dishwasher. Kitchen and bathrooms were not cleaned. We called the owner and property manager. After about an hour the property manager returned call. It was a Sunday evening but he did send cleaning staff to make beds and provide clean towels. They returned the following day and cleaned the home. The flooded dishwasher was not repaired during our stay. The property owner did not have the courtesy to return our call. Nice home, POOR service. Would not recommend rental.

This is an amazing house with the best location and it has the perfect spaces for a family or friends vacation. We have stayed here two years in a row and look forward to future stays. The hosts are the best and the property rocks!!!!

Vail’s best kept secret

The property is amazing and in the best location, close to everything but secluded from crowds and within an amazing wooded area. The house is more than what pictures show and has very comfortable areas and rooms and an amazing hot tub in the back. We will be back for sure!

This property is perfectly located close to all things Vail. Very comfortable rooms for a single family but plenty of space for multiple family trips. Hot tub is great and backs up to forest. Owner was very responsive and excellent to work with.

spring break ski vacation with two families

We had a wonderful time in this property in Cascade just a short few minute drive from Vail Village. The home was large enough for the two families (nine people) without feeling crowded, had a nice kitchen and plenty of space for everyone to gather in the family/dinning room. The home was in excellent condition and the owners clearly take pride in this property.

Excellent house, very clean, great amnenities and location

Ken and Holly were great to deal with. They had lots of local information and made the process very easy. Their home is beautiful and has all the luxuries and comforts of your own home. The floor plan is awesome for families and kids. The playroom kept the kids well occupied. While adults could watch tv etc... Plenty of table space for large at home dinners, privacy in every bedroom with its own bathrooms and a great hot tub. The location is simple to go in and out of Vail and close to grocery stores. Would define stay here again.

Excellent Location and Great for Big Groups!

This property was absolutely perfect for our group of 12! Extremely well-located and super fun for bigger groups with the spa, BBQ, and great family room and kitchen. The owners were extremely hospitable, organized, and helpful throughout the entire process. Proximate to Safeway, rental stores, Vail Village, and most importantly, Vail. We are planning on going back again next year and will be seeking out this rental again. If visiting Vail, this rental is a must stay.

This is a beautiful, convenient fabulous place to stay in Vail!

The house is wonderful with great views and 3 decks to sit out and enjoy them. The kitchen was big enough to cook all of our meals and a grill on the deck worked out great! Our family had plenty of space to hang out and all eat together. Hollie & Ken were great - anytime we had a question, they answered within the hour and were very nice. I would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing property with great location!

Recently stayed here for my bachelor party and couldn't have asked for a better property. The owner Hollie and Ken were also amazing and helpful in answering any questions/concerns I had pre-booking. The property has everything you could ever want or need in a Vail rental; including the soon to be installed hot tubs! Will be back for sure!

Wonderful Property! Like a Brand New Home!

We could not have been more satisfied with our stay at this property. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids and had more than enough room. The kids area was filled with games and videos for the kids. Although we got minimal use of this due to the excellent snow conditions, the fact it was available was great. Everything in this house seems to be brand new. Linens, towels, kitchen appliances and equipment. We even arrived to a welcome basket full of snacks and wine. Thanks for a great spring break destination. We will definitely be back when we are in Vail.

Comfortable, Spacious & Clean Home - Friendly, Responsive Owners - Easy Access to Vail Mtn.

What a wonderful stay! The home was clean, comfortable and complete with all amenities and contemporary appliances. Close to the Cascade lift yet far enough from the hustle-n-bustle of Vail Village. Holly and Ken couldn't have been any more accommodating and responsive. I highly recommend the "McBride Hide" for a large group or even a multi-family extended visit to Vail.

We both grew up in Colorado, skiing at Vail. We now live in Los Angeles, but try to get back to Colorado as often as we can.

Why they chose this property

One of the most beautiful locations in all of Vail, the absolutely highest home in all of Cascade Village resulting in the best views and most seclusion of any home in Cascade Village. Cascade Village is the 2nd most convenient location in all of Vail (after Vail Village itself) as it is close to the mountain and has its own ski lift directly to Vail mountain (note: it is not ski in ski out, it is a 5-10 min. walk to lift up/down hill. We usually drive down the a parking structure that is always open and easy parking next to the lift).
