All good! A nice rustic experience, but with some modern conveniences. Not a bad view from any of the the windows. The porch over looking a strong running creek is delightful!
Such a fantastic cabin to stay and enjoy the area. A short drive East or West and you are into all that the area has to offer. The pond and small stream create a relaxing environment. Will hopefully be back with the family.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
- Mice!! Droppings on pillows every time we returned to the cabin- Not enough hot water for even just two people to shower one after the other- Exterior photos deceiving. NOT secluded, no views of surrounding mountains - only views of other cabins mere yards away - Interior photos also deceiving. Decor in photos is Gone. So are the blinds, replaced by tissue-thin, transparent drapes that don’t cover the windows. Furniture shown is gone. Nowhere to store clothing or even hang towels.- No basics provided - no paper towels, tissues, detergent, not even a hair drier. - Listing doesn’t mention parking is across the creek so you have to haul your luggage along a gravel path and over a bridge to get to the cabin.- GPS directions inadequate. More signage needed.- Fridge, stove, coffee maker are all old, broken or worn out- Overall BIG disappointment and value not there at all for what we were charged.
It is a great cabin! Most of our activities were in Red River so it was a bit of a drive back and forth. We knew this before we booked though. Also, the picture on the website should be updated as the new pitch addition was awesome!!
The cabin was very nice, clean and cozy; however, the location of the property is not ideal. It is located next to the owner's house and next to another cabin rental. You must enter property through the neighbors cluttered yards and there is no view. The private pond was very low and full of moss. Other than that, we had a good stay in fishing and traveling the area.
We had an excellent stay. Communication with the host was prompt and attentive. Our kids loved playing outside around the lake and there was a stream right outside the house that we loved listening to.
This cabin is a great place to relax and enjoy your family time.

About the host
Hosted by Lori Ortega
Growing up in the Southern Rockies brings a little touch of down home goodness to the heart. As children we've both loved the outdoors. We grew up skiing in mountains and love hunting and fishing. We own Premier-Outfitters, a hunting, horseback, fishing, hiking, and camping outfit. This gives people a opportunity to experience a lifetime adventure they will never forget. Now our three children follow in our foot steps. If it doesn't have to do with the outdoors they are not interested. You will get to know us and see how unique we are. We certainly can't wait to meet you!
Why they chose this property
We want the people to feel comfortable when they stay at the Ranch and appreciate the quality of nature that surrounds you while you enjoy the stay in our cabins. The cabins here at our Ranch were thought up very carefully. Every log was hand picked by us to show of the details in the interior and exterior walls. Each cabin has its very own story. You are in a remote location yet minutes away from your destination you choose.
What makes this property unique
We have many attractions at the Ranch. The kids will love winter and summer at the pond, skipping rocks in the creek or a nice mountain hike and view natural land slides and Indian ruins. Enjoy farm animals at the barn or a barbecue on the deck overlooking the creek. A camp fire by the pond is quite calming after a long day out. Walking into the cabins you will be remarkably impressed. The best benefit of all is to share your experience with your loved ones and take home stories you will never forget. Give us call to learn more.
