Dieses Haus ist ein Traum

Wir haben als Paar mit erwachsenen Kindern und Hund 10 Tage wunderbare Familienferien genossen. Das historische Haus war für unsere Zwecke ideal: Der helle Wohnbereich im Erdgeschoss mit großen Ledersofas und -Sesseln und dem gemütlichen Kaminofen, die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, die großen Tische für die Mahlzeiten und die Spielerunden sowie die herrliche Terrasse, Dusche und WC. In der ersten Etage drei Schlafzimmer und Bad mit Wäscherei. Wir konnten vom Haus aus schöne Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren (Rennräder und E-Bikes) unternehmen, haben aber auch viel Interessantes auf unseren Fahrten im Bereich zwischen Strasbourg und Colmar erkundet.Die Kommunikation mit der freundlichen hilfsbereiten Vermieterin verlief zügig und problemlos über FeWo-direkt.

Beau gîte spacieux et agréable mais...

la propreté laissait complétement à désirer (poussières, toiles d'araignées, tables tachées, douches sales). Certaines installations devraient être remplacées (pommeau de douche du haut par exemple). Les draps et serviettes n'étaient pas fournis à cause du Covid. La salle de jeux promise dans l'annonce était dépourvue du moindre jeu. Il manque le mode d'emploi des appareils (télévisions/internet, fours) ce qui les rend difficile à utiliser.

Gîte confortable et bien équipé.....peut être un petit manque d' étagères dans la salle de douche du rez de chaussée . Nous y étions en novembre nous n' avons pas profité de la terrasse qui doit être très agréable l'été.

Fijn huis op mooie locatiie

Fijn huis, goede bedden. Keuken goed verzorgt jammer dat er weinig limonadeglazen, kleine borden en mesen voor op tafel zijn. De tuinstoelen voor aan de eettafel op het terras zijn ook aan vervanging toe. Omgeving en ligging is fantastisch.

Wir waren dort mit drei Paaren und drei kleinen Hunden, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz, nur die Dusche im Erdgeschoss ist ziemlich klein, damit kommt man aber trotzdem gut klar. Die Lage ist optimal wenn man es ruhig mag, und sie ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt zu den sehenswerten Örtlichkeiten im Elsass.

Huis met alle gemakken, op perfecte rustige locatie.

Hou je van rust en ruimte? Een mooie, huiselijke, authentieke woning voorzien van alle gemakken , op een perfecte locatie voor wandelingen, fietsen met je (elektrische) fiets en bezoeken Kaysersberg, Ribeauville ...dan is dit huis in Breitenau een perfecte vertrekbasis. Wij waren weliswaar maar met zijn tweeën en onze hond, waar je direct uit je huisje wandelingen in het bos mee kunt maken, en hadden met ons drieen dus volop ruimte in deze vakantiewoning die zeker geschikt is voor 6 volwassenen. De 3 slaapkamers zijn ruim, er is een grote eetkeuken met nog extra eet/ spelletjestafel , een mooie woon/ zitkamer. Daarnaast een speelruimte voor kinderen met game computer (Wi) etc. Ook kunnen er naast 6 volwassenen ook 1 of 2 kleine kinderen hier perfect terecht. Het grote buitenterras waar het s'avonds heerlijk vertoeven is ( eten met uitzicht op de mooie wijngaarden en heuvels) is een plus. Mochten er kleine kinderen meekomen dan neem ik aan dat het gras bij de speeltoestellen ( glijbaan, klimhuis) wel gemaaid is, was nu nuet. Op/ afrit naar huisje is ff lastig..had men ook gezegd. Is best redelijk steil met losse aarde. Liggen maar aan 1 kant rubberen tegels waardoor volgeladen auto dreigt te spinnen bergop. Daarom auto parkeren op parkeerplaatsje naast de afzonderlijke garage ( waar je ook fietsen kwijt kunt) langs de weg. Je kunt bij aankomst en vertrek kijken of je de auto het heuveltje af/op kunt rijden..is handig voor in en uitladen..maar heb je risico van spinnen wielen of je moet 4x4 wheels hebben. Zou dus handig zijn wanneer men andere kant heuvfeltje ook van rubberen tegels voorziet om grip te vergroten. Conclusie: heerlijk tijd gehad, in mooi huis, mooie omgeving mede door het mooie weer....en de plezierige ontvangst van Alain de buurman ( zorgt voor sleutels) en Evelyn, die voor wisseling linnen etc. zorgt. Dikke 8...eigenlijk bijna 9.

Alain nous a très bien reçu à notre arrivée. C’est une personne très sympathique et disponible en cas de besoin. La maison est spacieuse est bien équipée. Idéalement situé dans un petit village au calme. De belles visites sont à faire dans le coin. Seul petit bémol le manque de volets au fenêtre donc une grande luminosité au petit matin. Nous retournons avec plaisir y séjourner

Nous avons adorés notre séjour. Maison familiale très confortable et sécurisé avec tout le nécessaire. Idéal pour famille avec enfant de tout âge. Les proprietaires sont charmants et disponibles. Nous y retournerons sans hésitation. La région est aussi magnifique. Et idéal pour des petites randonnées en forêt dans le coin.

Fantastic holiday!

We have had a wonderful holiday in your cottage. It started with a very friendly welcome by Alain. Your cottage and its surroundings had everything for a great holiday for us and our dog Sabra. We have made nice walks with him straight from the house. We also appreciated the nice charcuterie and patisserie in Villé. And of course we visited several domaines and bought wine to take home and also drank some bottles in Gite des Cerisiers! The nice weather was a bonus. We hope to be able to come back one day!

Guten Tag Sabrina, wir haben ein paar wunderschöne Tage in dem Landhaus im Elsass verbracht. Lage, Sauberkeit und Ausstattung - alles war TOP. Ein kleiner Mangel - dier Matratzen in einem Doppelzimmer ( mit dem Kinderbettchen ) sollten erneuert werden. Wir kommen gerne wieder - dann aber für m/m 1 Woche. m f g Martin Kraft

Gite Des Cerisiers

The gite is in a fantastic spot overlooking the mountains of the Alsace. It is well equipped and very comfortable. It is in a peaceful village with plenty of walks signposted from there. The town of Villé has all you need and has several good restaurants. The towns of Ribeauvillé etc are not too far away and Colmar & Strasbourg are an easy drive too.

Perfect!

We spent a magical week during the Toussaint vacation here. Everything was perfect: comfortable, easy access to walking trails and spacious. It was everything we wanted and more! We travel quite a bit and this by far was one of the best gites we have stayed at in France. The fall foliage was beautiful and my children loved visiting the neighbor horses-they very sad to say goodbye to them. The house is well-equipped with anything you could possibly need for a vacation stay and again the immediate access to the hiking trails makes this a perfect getaway for nature lovers. One of the highlights of our stay was a sighting of some wild boar in the woods on one of our hikes. Close enough to Colmar and Strasbourg for day trips and the next town over has a supermarket for all the essentials. We would love to come back again in the future.

Charming Gite

We arrived late on the Saturday night. A very nice bottle of bubbly greeted us in the fridge. The Gite is amazing. Wonderful old beams and cosy living area. The decking has a wonderful view over the rolling landscape and you can catch the sunset with a nice glass of local wine. Lots of places to visit close by. I recommend a visit to the theme park just over the birder into Germany. Good swimming areas close by too. We had a brilliant holiday.

Lovely property in a beautiful location

Our family of five had a wonderful six night break here in the Alsace. The gite was really spacious and homely, perfect for us to relax and plenty to do for the children. The large terrace at the back had fabulous views over the village below and the whole valley. Alain, our neighbour, was very friendly and gave us some great local insight. There are plenty of places to visit in striking distance to cater for varied tastes. For the children I would definitely recommend the aqua park about five minutes drive away. Colmar is a must, as is Haut Koenigsbourg and the Silver Mines at St Marie Aux Mines. Chris Lakin

Wonderful week at Les Cerisiers

We spent a wonderful week at Les Cerisiers in April. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped, set in a beautiful, rural location overlooking the village. We enjoyed many afternoons and evenings sat on the decking, admiring the view and enjoying the tranquility (and the sunshine!). Alain, who looks after the house is a lovely person: happy to help at any time but never intrusive. There are some wonderful walks which can be taken from the house or throughout the region. The castles which are perched on hills and mountains throughout the area make great focal points for these walks. We all thought that Montaigne des Singes was one of the best days out for families (although we would enjoy it even if we didn't have the children with us!) and would definitely recommend it. Also, the stork / animal park near Hunawihr was good fun. We would recommend a trip into Hunawihr too, it is a particularly pretty village with an old, fortified church. We had good fun buying wine from Domaine Christian Barthel too and are glad to have brought away a reminder of our week. We were really sad to leave and would definitely like to return to Les Cerisiers to further explore this beautiful area of France where there is so much to see and do.

I have grown up in Alsace and now live in England. Alsace is a truly beautiful area, with a rich history and plenty of places of interest to discover.

I still love to spend as much time as I can at the house with my husband and 3 children. We never tire of it as each season has something special to offer. In autumn, the wine tasting in local cellars is a must and so is schnapps tasting in distilleries. In December, you can experience some of the most wonderful Christmas markets around. Walking across the forest along the well signposted tracks is a sheer pleasure any time of year.

As a family, we love the outdoors – walking, cycling, den building. After a busy day, we like to relax, play games & watch a good film. I am sure you will love it too !
