South Facing Villa-on one level - multi-generational family/2 families/ friends

Beautiful and quiet hillside location with views of coastline. Large patio with private pool and covered barbecue and dining area. Large open plan lounge and dining room with wood burning stove. Extensive, well equipped kitchen. Four twin bedrooms each with a bathroom, one of which is en suite with walk-in shower. Two bedrooms either side of living area making the villa ideal for two families or different generations. Each bedroom has access directly onto the patio. The villa is all on one level and ramps can be inserted at front and patio entrance doors for easier access. There is a table tennis table for those feeling energetic and an outside fridge for those who prefer to relax with a cool drink.

Superb villa with excellent facilities. Quiet location but within a short drive/taxi of local amenities. Great pool and outside area with plenty of space. Lots of room inside with good sized bedrooms and bathroom facilities. Ideal for two family groups. Highly recommended, would definitely return.

A week with friends and then 10 days with family

Perfect base for fun holiday in Portugal. Close to beach and main town. Perfect for walking running and chilling out. Booking and checking simple and felt well supported throughout. Very helpful housekeeper who was available through out stay and did a quick turn around when my friends went home ready for my family arriving. Hope to visit again next year.

Huge property and garden very private with good views excellent cleaner.really enjoyed our stay. Possibly a little far from amenities need transport to go anywhere but only 8euros for taxis and near bus stops.would recommend for peaceful holiday

The pool and the terrace are perfect!

The house is very clean and in good shape. We were positive surprised that the housekeeping was coming every 2nd day. We stayed 10 days with 3 kids and 2 adults and it was as very nice stay for all of us. Nice view from the terrace. The street is not very noisy. The kitchen is well equipped.

As a traditional open plan villa each bedroom has a ceiling fan and the shuttered doors can be secured (with mosquito netting) while the door/window is open to create air.

Amazing fulfilling stay at this beautiful Portuguese Villa

We had the most beautiful time at Casa Aveia. The pictures do not make it justice. The house is very traditional and embodies the perfect Portuguese flair. We spent most of our time outside at the pool, enjoying the sun ☀️. We used fresh lemons 🍋 from the garden to cook dinners. That was an amazing experience. You’ll definitely need a car or like us Uber to get to places. Everything is in a 10 min proximity by car. You’ll find beautiful beaches close! The agency was also super helpful and arranged a transport to the airport in short notice. We will definitely come to the house again.

La maison correspond bien à la description.L'arrivée se fait avec une boite a clés c est parfait.Le wifi fonctionne pas de soucis.La piscine est grande mais pas chauffée. Les 4 salle de bains et toilettes sont bien utile pour 8 personnesLe poolhouse avec son frigo est Top.Par contre elle est dans son jus, la cuisine et la vaisselle sont d'origine, le mobilier est rustique.L eau chaude mets longtemps à arrivée, pas très écologique.Une grosse rénovation est nécessaire pour être dans les standards actuels.Et l'environnement n' est pas très silencieux, présence d une voie express a moins de 100m et de plusieurs meutes de chien aboient la nuit.

Thank you for your 4 star review. The villa is not a new build, rustic is our style as farmers in England too. The villa name translates as "house of wild oats" and it's location is relatively rural. This gives you lots of room but there are farms nearby with animals, and working dogs are part of that. I don't think anywhere in any country is far from a road these days sadly. As for the heating system - it is a large villa, and we have to have what will work, with each bedroom having its own bathroom the water does have to travel a distance and take a moment or too, but we are on holiday!

Fantastico, si vuelvo a Lagos, repetiré

Nos ha encantado. Es una villa muy amplia, cuenta con un salón, un jardín y una piscina estupendos. Estuvimos 12 días y nos hizo un tiempo muy bueno, pudimos disfrutar de todo, piscina, bbq (la neverita junto a la bbq da mucho juego), terraza... Está en una zona muy tranquila, por las noches es una maravilla y además está a 10 minutos en coche de todo, marina, tiendas, restaurantes, playas... Sandra que era la persona que se encargaba de la casa es fantástica, nos ayudo mucho y nos aconsejó sitios donde ir, en concreto, el restaurante As Asinhas, estupendo en todos los sentidos. Muchas Gracias Sandra por todo. En resumen, si volvemos por la zona, repetiremos!!!

Très belle et grande maison,de beaux espaces arborés autour Propreté impeccable,il ne manque rien ! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette maison très bien située et sans aucun vis-à-vis Petit bémol, la maison commence à être vieillissante, il serait peut-être bien d’effectuer qqs travaux de rénovation : cuisine et sols du salon… Je vous recommande cette maison, vous ne le regretterez pas !

Traditionelle Poolvilla mit Meerblick

Das Haus ist wunderschön gelegen auf einem Hügel mit Blick aufs Meer. Da wir mit drei Generationen angereist sind, war es ein riesiger Vorteil der Villa, dass diese komplett ebenerdig ist. Der Garten drumherum und die vielen Blumen sind wunderschön. Da das Haus schon älter ist, ist alles sehr traditionell gehalten. Wir sind sieben Personen gewesen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Pool ist schön groß und wurde jeden Tag mehrere Stunden genutzt. Es war das absolute Highlight. Verbesserungsvorschläge: Mücken-, Fliegen- und Wespenschutz im Wohnzimmer ind in der Küche anbringen. Man konnte in beiden Räumen kaum lüften, ohne danach die Fliegenklatsche zu benötigten. Auch die Ameisen haben täglich ihre Schlupflöcher in diverse Räume, vor allem Küche, gefunden, obwohl wir regemäßig alle Krümmel weggefegt haben. Das sind die Nachteile eines älteren Hauses. Ob man hier Abhilfe schaffen kann....? Aber diese Kleinigkeiten haben uns wenig gestört. Das Haus war eben wunderbar zum ausruhen und sich erholen. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

We were advised, for guests safety, not to include mosquito netting on main entrances and exits, but I appreciate that wildlife can encroach sometimes which can be frustrating, though I am pleased that your family still thoroughly enjoyed their time in our villa.

Férias muito agradáveis

Férias muito agradáveis. Casa antiga muito bonita e ampla e com todas as comunidades, loiça diversa, máquinas de loiça e roupa, ferro, secadores cabelo, etc. Todos os 4 quartos têm 2 camas individuais e casa de banho para cada quarto, o que facilita a logística e a privacidade. Nós fomos em família, éramos 6 incluindo uma criança e adorámos a estadia. A casa oferece ainda um amplo espaço exterior com piscina bem tratada e privacidade. Fica a 15m de carro dos supermercados e lojas no centro de Lagos. Recomendo. Ainda de salientar que a casa disponibiliza toalhas WC em quantidade suficiente e toalhas de piscina. A Da. Sandra, encarregue do check in e da limpeza da casa é de uma simpatia e profissionalismo excepcional. A comunicação com a proprietária Mrs Julia foi muito fluida, embora sempre em inglês. Resumindo, esperamos voltar. Obrigada

Schöne alleinstehende Villa in Funchal

Für uns (5 Erwachsene und 2Kinder) einfach nur genial. Alles da was man braucht man hat seine Ruhe und ist doch schnell in Lagos oder an den Stränden. Check-in ist zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit möglich. Villa ist alarmgesichert und Gelände ist eingezäunt und verschlossen.

Sobresaliente toda la casa, destacando la piscina -amplia, soleada todo el día...-, la zona de barbacoa -muy recogida- y la ubicación -tranquila pero cerca de todo-. Villa très bien située en surplomb, isolée totalement, ce qui nous a permis de vivre très librement

Nous étions 8 personnes, nous avons pu faire totalement tout ce que nous voulions, sans aucun dérangement. Beaucoup d'espace, ce qui permettait également des endroits de tranquillité. We are farmers in Hampshire and having enjoyed family holidays in the Algarve since 1970's we had the opportunity to purchase this villa in 1982. Our parents chose Casa Aveia ("wild oats") because of its peaceful rural setting and wonderful views. We have modernised the villa sympathetically over the years making it a relaxing family holiday home. We all continue to enjoy our time in Casa Aveia - when we get a chance!

Why they chose this property

Our parents bought the villa because, as farmers in Hampshire we are used to the countryside, and, although the Algarve has changed immensely since 1982, we still maintain that wish for space around us. Yet you can reach all the places easily whatever your pleasure is on holiday, if you want to, or you can simply enjoy the villa keeping the outdoor fridge well stocked with cooling beverages!

What makes this property unique

Being on one level our villa is ideal for multi-generational families or 2 separate families or a group of friends. Plenty of room for everyone with a spacious patio area.

One of the first changes we did was to give each bedroom its own bathroom, not something that you find very often in accommodation even now.

Our villa has a large footprint and with two bedrooms/bathrooms either side of the communal area it is ideal for those with different schedules to enjoy their holiday.
