We loved the house

Great stay and great host Sofia. She always responded quickly when we had questiona and was really helpful. We loved the house and felt home immediately. Nice garden with swimming pool and a good firm bed.

Conveniently located near beaches

My husband and I had a really mixed experience with this stay. We spent over a month in Portugal and stayed at a number of different places and chose this one when a construction crew started up at our original booking. Here is a breakdown of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: The house was bigger than expected from the photos and has a great location to beautiful beaches. The backyard area has a larger pool and plenty of chairs for eating or lounging. The host met us and ran through instructions, plus kindly left us with two bottles of wine! The Bad: There were obvious issues with cleanliness that made us a bit uneasy. The kitchen was not swept and there was a lot of fly poop on the ceiling lights in the kitchen. Although there were kitchen staples left in the cupboards, there was some rancid food in jars that just made us think it was better not to use any of it. The unit is not air conditioned so you need to leave windows open to get air flow. With a bus stop right outside, that can be noisy. The Ugly: After checkout we were charged 100 Euro for locksmith charges because we left the keys in the door (this is normal in other VRBOs). We asked for proof of charges and none was given. There are two other doors on the unit, so we would have expected that the host would have a backup plan or at least would have provided written instructions on something so important. Overall, an OK stay but we wouldn't return based on cleanliness and communication.

Excellent accommodation and location.

Great place to stay, within walking distance of several restaurants, beaches 5 mins drive or 20 min walk. Easy to get to main line train station(20 min drive) to get to Lisbon, Sintra or Setubal. Alfarim is an unspoiled non tourist village, very pleasant.

Excellent family vacation

Really nice and spacious house with a pool providing heaps of fun for the kids. It is located in a quiet local village with all grocery shopping near by (supermarket, bakery, butcher and 3 (!) fish shops). Beaches for every taste are available in driving distance (e.g. Praia do Meco <5 minutes, Lagoa d'Albufeira <10 min. and Costa da Caparica about 30+ min.). In addition, Lisboa offers great sightseeing in less than 45 minutes as well. Big thanks for the warm welcome to Sofia!

Very nice house close to nature

The house is very nice and well equipped - it has everything you need for your holidays. The pool is good for a cool down and even for swimming, terrace is nice. Beaches and the Albufeira lagoon are within 2 to 4 km distance, other cities within 10 to 15 minutes driving. The only slightly disturbing factor were the roosters next door, that woke us up very early and were active at almost every time during the day.

Perfect modern villa

Maison offrant tout le confort nécessaire pour y passer d'agréables moments ! Bien aménagée et moderne, grande piscine, petit coin barbecue.... Tout était parfait. Hôte très accueillante, gentille et toujours disponible. La maison est idéalement située, beaucoup d'activités possibles aux alentours ! Au village on trouve également tout : boulangerie, épicerie, restaurants, poissonnerie, boucherie etc... et tout est accessible à pied depuis la maison. Un petit coin de paradis !!! On reviendra.
