Another king, Charles II, is said to have ridden his horse up the internal staircase of the house in the 17th century and it still has an impressive staircase today.

Thank you for your lovely feedback Susan. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Angate cottage is nicely decorated, well maintained, clean, and very cosy. Everything needed for a holiday was provided.
Despite being located on a busy road the traffic noise was no issue, and especially at night it was very quiet.
Short walk to the town center with some good pubs, restaurants and shops. Many good hikes can be started directly from the cottage.
Communication with Eileen and Kevin was very fast and friendly, and Kevin showed us around when we arrived.
We would love to stay here again, and also recommend to friends.

The property was lovely, full of character and charm. Very comfortable and well maintained.
The only drawback was lack of a lawned garden because of the dogs.
Definitely recommend

Pleasant cottage that is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Good walks from the front door.
