Lovely cottage in a great location

Well equipped, comfortable and clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Cottage has everything you need, good pub 2 doors down. Great location for local walks.

Beautiful cottage

Beautifully appointed cottage, the hosts had thought of everything, even a very thoughtful welcome pack. Would happily recommend and revisit!

Great cottage, fantastic location

Lovely little cottage - very clean and comfortable and everything you need. Owners were lovely and communication easy. Village was friendly and well placed for exploring the area. Definitely would recommend.

Good base for exploring Weardale

Well-equipped cosy cottage a few doors away from the Blue Bell pub and 5 minutes from open country in upper Weardale.

Great stay if you want to get out in the countryside, in driving distance to Hadrians wall, Allen Banks and Staward Gorge and loads of local walks and hikes. Theirs a small local COOP around the corner and a small quaint pub a couple of doors down. The property was just as described and was very cosy and clean and will probably rebook in the future

Last minute stay booked

Absolutely brilliant and we needed somewhere to stay at the last minute. The owners were so helpful and it was all arranged by 10p.m the day before our arrival! The place was clean and very well appointed and in an ideal location for us to be near the rest of our family who live in Westgate.

St John’s Chapel stay

The house was welcoming and very comfortable. We loved the real fire which was a delight at night and warmed the house in a crack. Walked some windy miles so it was nice to have decent tea upon coming back to the house and the washing machine was a god send.
