Highly Rated 'The Boka Penthouse'

Beautifully positioned in an elevated location above the bay, our apartment is fully equipped to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. A small supermarket, the waters edge, several bars and restaurants are just minutes away or just relax on one of the sun loungers around the pool. Ten minutes by car, bus or taxi is the beautiful walled medieval town of Kotor. This pedestrianised town is a must see that boasts a variety of restaurants, bars, churches, galleries and boutiques. A ten minute drive in the opposite direction is the ancient town of Parest once part of the Venetian empire. From here you can take a trip to the island or walk around the old stone buildings, chill on the waterfront restaurants or visit the museum. Boka Heights is a small and very well maintained complex with the grounds and swimming pool inspected twice daily. The residence is privately owned and ideal for a family holiday or couples retreat, please ask to see our online photo albums and see for yourself.

As you know checkout tomorrow morning is at 10.00am. If you do plan on leaving earlier than this, please do let us know as this really helps our cleaner immensely.
Can we kindly ask that when you leave the apartment that the aircon & water heater are switched off, the awning and shutters are closed and your rubbish removed.
When you depart please lock the door, place the key back in the lock box, spin the numbers around and slide the black plastic cover over the numbers.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please ensure that all the apartment shutters are secured shut every time you leave the apartment and that the sun umbrellas are taken out of the base

Perfect!

We stayed here as a family and loved it. Lovely and relaxing spot for swimming yet still close to visit Kator and perast. The views from the balcony were outstanding! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic view in a quiet location

Really enjoyed the apartment. Comfortable beds, quiet location, great view from the patio.Only issue was the almost 100 stairs to get to it as we had a months worth of luggage.One improvement would be better signage to direct people to the correct apartment as it took us a while to locate it upon our arrival.Host was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing views, spacious apartment. Washing machine came in very handy. The hill was very steep but we walked the new road a few times which was much easier. We booked days out using the Omio app and visited Budva and Tivat. The cable car is a must. The apartment was great to come back to after a long day exploring the beautiful bay. The communication was great and we would highly recommend

Amazing location and view from the terrace

Although it wasn’t my first time at the property , the breathtaking view from the terrace still amazed me. It’s the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings, watching the sunset and boats on the bay.The awning provides great shade in the afternoon, making the terrace even more enjoyable.Check in was simple with the key box , and communication with Alex and Marija was excellent.The apartment was very clean , the beds were comfortable and I slept well. I can’t wait to return - I never get tired of this place !

The Apartment was exactly as described. A wonderful view, nice pool, well equipped. The landlord was extremely helpful and nice. It was close (although quite steep) to the sea, quiet. Our stay was definitely too short!

Incredible views and comfortable apartment

Really enjoyed our stay - the views were amazing! Great communication with host and everything was as described. The apartment is very well equipped with lots of extras. Kids enjoyed the pool and the patio area was a nice space around the pool but also great to have own patio to relax on. The location was great for us - easy walk down to beach/sea, nice few places to eat or have a drink at - away from the busy area of Kotor.

So amazing

I believe that this was the most amazing apartment that we have rented! So clean and well stocked but the best feature would be the incredible patio with spectacular view of the Bay of Kotor. Close to the beach but also a pool! We will be back!!

What a view!

The best aspect of the apartment is the balcony space and magnificent views which are spectacular. The apartment is very clean with good space and well equipped with great air conditioning in each room. The parking space is invaluable as parking in Kotor is v difficult. Nice shared pool. We would have benefited from directions to find the apartment within the complex because we arrived late and the numbering is not easy to find. Nice recommended water front Restaurant within 10 mins walk. About an hours walk to the centre of Kotor along the water front. Overall a great base to explore the Kotor area.

We'd recommend it!The view from the balcony is fab and you have everything you need for self catering.The local supermarket looks very small but actually has a great stock - it takes about 10 minutes to walk to it.The Old town of Kotor is 4km away - it was perfect for us as by the supermarket you can join a road that laps along the water without lots of traffic.There is a small but steep walk up to the complex where the apartment is and then stairs - but it's fine unless you have mobility issues.You're ideally placed to have peace and quiet but on the bus route to Kotor and, in the other direction Perast.

Lovely view of kotor bay

This apartment is about 3 miles from the old town, very convenient and comfortable. It is a fairly steep drive to the parking lot, and be forewarned that it takes another 90 (stair) steps to get from the parking lot into this apartment. It does have a great view of the bay. A wifi hotspot was in the apartment, but no password was made available by the host. All in all we enjoyed our stay, very convenient to the old town, a grocery store and a restaurant.

The apartment

The apartment was great and met our expectations. Criticism: The description stated, "in the heart of Kotor's Old Town, a 2-minute walk from the Sea Tower, and a 5-minute walk from the medieval city walls." This contradicted the actual location and the directions (which were later changed). There were also several construction sites nearby, so we were temporarily unable to use the parking lot for two days. Waste disposal was unclear. We were supposed to dispose of our trash near the market. It was a 15-minute walk!

Amazing views that’s hard to beat

The apartment was at the top of a small villa complex but the view is well worth the many steps to get to the apartment. The apartment entrance qas. It easy to find at first - when you see #27 then go past that on the left and walk around the back. The apartment is well stocked and a/c in every room. It has a nice balcony to admire the view room. I’ve attached photos of the amazing view. As per another review when I booked the apartment the VRBO listing showed the property as walking distance to the old town which is not the case - it is a 10 minute car drive. It looks like the listing has now been corrected. Also note that the swimming pool is a communal pool with the other apartments in the complex (maybe 30?). It does not state this in the listing and when I booked I had wrongly assumed that it was a private pool for the villa.

Incredible view

The pictures from the apartment are accurate, it is a beautiful view out to Kotor Bay. Dobrota is far enough away from Kotor so you aren't dealing with the cruise ship crowds, yet close enough to walk or take the bus into town to explore the Old City or hike up to the ancient fortress. The apartment was well-appointed with a great kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has patio doors that open out to the wonderful balcony. There is access to this balcony from the living area also. It was a little difficult to figure out which apartment was ours as the apartment numbers are not intuitive. There are also quite a few stairs to climb. But they were certainly worth it!

Fin lägenhet med högt läge, fantastisk utsikt, ingen insyn men många trappor... Välstädat med två fina sovrum, stort vardagsrum och stor terass med markis. AC i varje rum. Pool på området, ca 50 meter från lägenheten. Boendet ligger ca 6 km från centrala Kotor, inte centralt som kartnålen i annonsen visar. Några restauranger finns inom 2 km från lägenheten. Matbutik och bageri ca 1 km.

Ein Ort zum relaxen..

Fantastischer Ausblick auf den Fjord. Um diesen zu genießen, muss man allerdings eine Menge Stufen hoch laufen! Das sollte man vor der Buchung bedenken, für Leute, die evtl eine körperliche Einschränkung haben! Eine ruhige Unterkunft, eine gut ausgestattete Wohnung, die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war wirklich nett! Es wurde nichts beschönigt, die Bilder zeigen das Appartement etc so wie es wirklich ist! Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder diese Wohnung buchen! Haben uns echt wohl gefühlt!

Tolles Appartement mit sensationellem Ausblich

Das Appartement entsprach zu 100% den Beschreibungen, alles bestens, alles top, keinerlei Kritikpunkte. Das Einzige, was man wissen sollte: es befindet sich in einem Vorort von Kotor (Supermarkt, Restaurant, Meer, Bushaltestelle alles fußläufig zu erreichen) und zur superschönen Altstadt sind es ca. 6 bis 7 km. Aber wie gesagt: Appartement top, Anlage top, Pool top, Ausblick auf die Bucht von Kotor mega-top!!!

Amazing

Amazing apartment with a fantastic view over Kotor Bay. Well equipped for self catering. Short (but steep walk back) to promenade and short walk to restaurants, shops and a brilliant all day bakery! The site is well maintained with swimming pool being cleaned regularly. Excellent communication from Seller before and during our stay. Would recommend highly!

Great apartment with amazing view!

Beautiful apartment with spectacular view from the balcony and lounge window. Lovely walk along the promenade into Kotor which takes approximately 1 hour. The apartment complex and swimming pool are very well maintained. Great communication with Alex and Marija and a very well explained check in process. We would highly recommend this apartment if visiting Montenegro!

A perfect apartment with wonderful views

Our first visit to Montenegro, and it was great.That first view from the balcony took our breath away, and it was still a delight on the final morning. The apartment is well equipped, with a great shared pool. It’s location is quiet and peaceful. There is a steep walk back from shops and waters edge, due to its scenic views, and not hiring a car! Marija is very happy to answer any local questions, and provide taxi numbers, which are a necessity for evening trips into Kotor. Many thanks Alex, we loved it. Steve and Christina

Breathtaking views

We first visited Montenegro in 2003 and after falling in love with this then little known jewel in the Adriatic,have traveled the length and breadth of the country since and have never ceased to be amazed by it's beautiful photogenic scenery, good food, wine, beaches, castles, monasteries, olive groves, vineyards and colorful locals. We decided early on that we had to buy a holiday home here and after carefully researching each and every area over some three years (we lived in the apartment for a while) including the villages around the bay. We settled on these elevated properties in Dobrota, although in a quiet vicinity you are still only minutes away from both beaches and mountain locations, which makes this an ideal base for a vacation. We still take our holidays here every year.
