As required by Italian national laws, guests are recognized in person upon check-in. For this reason, check-ins will not be accepted at times when the staff cannot carry out this recognition.
After 20.00h , check in will be delayed to the morning after between 9.00 and 10.00 am

- HEATING ( on a pay per use basis) : 1.90 euros per hour. There is a thermostat with hour counter inside the apartment to allow the guests using it when they prefer.

- WASHING MACHINE : 5 euros / wash

- EXTRA CHANGE OF LINEN AND TOWELS ( only on request) : 16 euros per person. The change of towels and linen is otherwise every 7 nights ( for ex. if you stay 2 weeks the first set is upon arrival,the second after 7 days.)

- POOL TOWELS ( only on request) : 5 euros / each .Pool towels are not included in the towel set,so must be booked before the arrival date. If pool towels are not booked in advance we cannot guarantee to provide them.

- BABY COT with sheets and towels ( only by previous request ) : 45 Euros - to pay locally and to book before arrival

- HIGHCHAIR : with belt. 18 euro to pay upon arrival and to request it at the moment of the reservation ( limited availabiliy)

- BABY BATH : 10 euro to pay upon arrival and to request it at the moment of the reservation ( limited availabiliy)

- The baby sitter recommendation does not guarantee her immediate availability. She is not an employee of Monti 1824 but a freelancer. I recommend making contact well in advance of the date of your stay to have a better chance of availability.

-AIR CONDITIONING ,PLEASE NOTE that from 31 May 2025 to 12th September is included in price . Please note that in other different times of the year it is not calculated in the rental rate but paid extra on place with a cost of 40 Euros per day / 280 Euros per week.
Air conditioning is in the 2 bedrooms with 2 separate machine ( only cool ).

-USE OF PARTICULAR ELECTICAL EQUIPEMNT: appliances such as stoves, heaters, cookers, portable refrigerators and freezers must be declared at check in, as their use is not included in the normal energy costs included in the booking. Their presence involves an additional cost of 30 Euros per night / 210 Euros per week to be paid locally. Charging of electric cars is prohibited and is redirected to designated charging stations (closest to 1 km).

Definitely will stay again

This beautiful holiday house iis located at a beautiful county side in Casole d'elsa and is closeby to Florence, Chianti, Siena and Umbria. It is also easily accessible and you can take a train to Florence in less than an hour. Owner is friendly and you will feel like home once you walk in. They are also helpful in giving advise on interesting places to visit and even planning for your trip if you need it.

Should have stayed longer

We stayed here for 5 nights after a days driving around . The Villa is beautifull and our bedroom which was luxurious was better than many 4 or 5 star hotels we have stayed in and the owner Federica was the perfect host. I actually felt guilty that we had only booked for 5 nights as she went to so much trouble to welcome us. Definitely would stay there again but for longer next time.

And again...we visited Tuscany , and again...we stayed at our beloved Cottage Noce ! We were very pleased to be back here for the second time and were very happy to meet Federica and her lovely Family again! She is such a helpfull and kind host! The cottage has two bedrooms, is very cosy, very spacious, great kitchen, nice sitting area. Outside, next to the entrance of the cottage, in the garden, you have your own terras from where you can enjoy the wonderful colours of the setting sun! We would stay here if we ever have the good fortune to visit Italy again.

Wonderful stay in Tuscany

The property is very well maintained and very nicely finished. The interior is very nicely finished including a full kitchen with dishwasher and two nicely finished complete baths. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio for breakfast. This was our second stay at Podere Monte because we liked it so much the first time. We have visited Italy many times and have stayed from Lake Como and Venice in the north to Amalfi in the south, and this is our favorite area. Casole and surroundings are very pretty and offer many interesting places to visit. It is laid back and relaxing yet there are some very nice restaurants. It is within easy driving distance of Florence, Siena,and SanGimignano but, this time we enjoyed driving to the many smaller old walled hill towns nearby as well. Federica and her family are very helpful and available to help with planning and suggestions. Federica has also written a very helpful guide to the area. We would be very happy to visit Podere Monte for a third time in the future.

Schöne Pfingstferien

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern, 19 und 16 Jahre alt, in dem netten Haus von Federica und ihrer Familie. Es war perfekt für die 2 Wochen und wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt perfekt um Ausflüge nach Siena, Florenz und Pisa zu machen und viele kleine Städte der Toskana zu besuchen. Das Haus selbst ist hübsch eingerichtet, sauber und Federica ist bei Fragen immer behilflich und sehr freundlich. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Wunderschöne Toskana

Es war wunderschön! Das Haus war genauso schön wie auf den Fotos. Die Aussicht war der Hammer! Das kleine Dorf ein Kilometer entfernt war noch richtig ursprünglich und überhaupt nicht touristisch. Der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für viele wunderschöne Städte wie Volterra und Siena. Wir haben es sehr genossen!

Mooi maar iets te prijzig

Woning was zeker in orde. Voldoende kookgerei en airco op kamers. Ontvangst is in orde maar nadien is er weinig tot geen contact met de eigenaars die daar ook wonen. Bij spelen in de tuin met een bal kreeg mijn zoon wel direct een opmerking om rustiger te zijn. Haag langs terras werd pas tegen het einde van de week bijgeknipt wat het uitzicht ten goede kwam. Al bij al een goed verblijf maar iets te prijzig voor wat het is.

Nice stay...perfetto!

The Noce Cottage was very nice: tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. It was great to have a table in the kitchen area for everyone to enjoy their breakfast together. We were 4 people- 2 adults and 2 children under two. My daughter loved the big terrace and exploring the garden.

Our Tuscan dream

Cottage Noce - the best!

We spent a week here in September 2016. It was part of a month-long holiday in Italy and this was by far the best part of that month! The cottage is 250-year-old building restored by a master craftsman in true Tuscan style. The furniture was comfortable and chosen to blend with the decor. Having a kitchen to cook in worked very well for us. We loved the proximity to the charming towns Casole as well as the many hill towns in the area. The property is so peaceful and the pool was exquisite with a lovely view . We will return again I am sure.

The highlight of our trip to Italy

We cannot say enough good things about Podere Monti.Everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a lovely Cottage ( Noce) and fell in love with the cozy feeling of our room and the little reading nook overlooking Tuscan hills. The pool was another plus! The nearby town was also fantastic. We hope to come back again.

A beautiful cottage in a great location with amazing views of the Tuscan hills but not quite perfect

Let me first of all say, this old stone hayloft has been beautifully converted into an ideal holiday cottage - the perfect size for us & our two kids. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay including two bathrooms with excellent showers.Secondly, the views at Podere Monti are stunning & we have never enjoyed our morning coffee more than sitting outside as the sun burst across the breathtaking landscape. What's more the view from the swimming pool terrace is even better where you can see the ancient stone towers of San Giamagno on the horizon. In fact the pool terrace is idyllic with a good sized, fresh water pool - like the photos suggest. Also, Podere Monti is just a 20 mins stroll (1km) into Casole D'elsa for a lovely evening meal. OK, it's a steep road but is well worth it especially when the restaurant Dal Brigante awaits - definitely the best of the village options and has exceptional views - we ate there twice as it does all the Italian classics brilliantly. Now the negative bits: If you think this maybe a cottage with it's own private pool then think again. The cottage description is a little misleading. There are 3 to 4 other apartments/cottages on site all which have complimentary use of the pool terrace. We were certainly taken aback when we arrived, indeed one family checked out the morning after they arrived, due to their dismay. In the the end we made good friends with the other resident families so we still had a great holiday. However, had we known the shared nature of Podere Monti before then me may have considered other options - just be aware. The beds and pillows are hard. I like a firm mattress but these were extreme. Whilst they didn't stop us sleeping the beds could certainly have be more comfy. The rules - there are too many. For starters, you are not allowed to take any bottles, glasses or plates to the pool side. Not ideal when we would have liked to enjoy an alfresco lunch and a refreshing beer poolside. Also, the pool was closed and locked from 7.30pm. OK the owner liked to clean and refill the pool with fresh water but when you are on holiday you should feel free to enjoy an evening drink whilst overlooking the sites best feature - the views. Our cottage BBQ was small and inconveniently located and the other larger BBQ situated near the pool was pointless as poolside eating is forbidden. All in all, it's a wonderful place but it could be made perfect with some refining and easing of the rules.

Never forget

For the last 20 years, friends have been telling us how much they enjoyed Tuscany and staying at Podere Monti. We recently stayed for four delightful nights and everything was as advertised. Our hosts, couldn't have been more congenial and helpful. Our accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Those four days were the highlight of our month long holiday in Europe. Our hosts local knowledge was very helpful in directing us to little Tuscan villages, restaurants and sights and kept us away from crowds of tourists that are attracted to Tuscany. The scenic countryside, the people, the culture and our hosts will be the drawing cards that bring us back to Podere Monti in the near future. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

great place to stay

Our stay at Podere was above expectations. The cottage is so wonderful.The rooms were clean and the views were something out of a book. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. A lovely cottage in a fantastic location

We returned last week having stayed with parents in Cottage Noce for 2-weeks. This is the best cottage we have holidayed in. The cottage has its own enclosed and gated garden which made it quite private and the cottage itself is very nicely decorated and comfortable with everything we needed for our 2-week stay. Podere Monti is a lovely place to stay and having the pool was great for cooling off when the temperature was hot. The village of Casole d'Elsa is within easy walking distance although we chose to drive as parking was easy which made light work of carrying groceries. And, having a couple of small grocery stores, bakery, gelateria, small bars and restaurants everything we needed day to day we got from the village. Larger supermarkets for bigger shops were about 20 - 30min drive away. This is our third time in Tuscany but the first time at Casole d'Elsa. Location was great with Voltera, Siena and San Gimignano close and Florence also not too far away. Federica was an excellent host, most helpful and her recommendations for best places to eat and visit were spot on. We thank her very much and if we return to Tuscany again we would most certainly consider staying at Podere Monti again.

Lovely location in rural Tuscany, good base for all kinds of sighseeing as well as relaxing.

This pretty complex of unique properties has been a holiday spot for sometime, and the charming and helpful owners are very proud of it and keep it beautifully clean and well maintained. There are lots of flowers everywhere and the shared pool is a good size with a fabulous view. The village of Casole d'Elsa is within easy reach and is delightful, having all the shops one needs. Day trips can easily take one to Florence or to the seaside. We had a lovely time and will return. Our only minor request, one we often experience in Italy, is that the mattress and the pillows on the bed were too firm/hard for our comfort. The owner helpfully found a small extra mattress to soften part of the bed, but we would recommend a softer/more padded mattress and a choice of pillows. The owner's guide to the area was excellent and very reliable, and we had several very enjoyable meals out in lovely spots.

A Dream!

The countless 5 star reviews are on point in every way. We had decided to stay the first week of October just outside Siena so we could easily visit several towns within an hour or less (San Gimignano, Volterra, etc.). The cottage was perfect - it's a short 1 minute drive from Casole, with a view of the hill town that is like a dream . As so many others have pointed out, the owners Federica Family are absolutely the best. She was fantastic with his travel advice, directions, and hospitality. It was a joy to talk to her throughout the week we stayed. Tuscany is breathtaking on its own but that place leaves the greatest memory. These are special people with a special place. one week was not enough here

It had been a dream of my wife and I to travel to Tuscany. We were finally able to accomplish this with a copuple of wonderful friends.Everything was simply perfect. The rooms were decorated with teaste and airy. They hinted at traditional Tuscan styles but were modern and comfortable. Everything worked properly. But best of all was the views. Cannot begin to describe how beautiful the views were. The landscape was like living in a postcard. We have already decided that we would like to return someday. You can't go wrong staying here.

Memories that will linger for a lifetime

Casa Noce is a gem in one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. My husband and I had initially booked 7 nights and ended up staying 14 nights because it was so quiet, peaceful and beautiful! If you’re looking for entertainment or a hotel with TV and high speed Wi-Fi in the room, this is not the place for you. However, if you want a place to completely relax, unwind and quietly take in the Tuscan countryside you will love it.

Beautiful!

The property had everything that we wanted, both inside and outside. The villa Noce is spacious and our teenage girls appreciated having their own living area. The garden and pool are idyllic. The location is perfect for exploring central Tuscany. Within an hour we were able to visit Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence; if you were prepared to drive a little further, you would be able to reach many other sites. All in all we would definately recommend Casa Noce if you want a quiet location and as a base for visiting all the tourist attractions in that part of Tuscany. It is a beautiful part of the world and certainly didnt dissapoint!

Fantastic

My wife and I stayed here in late May 2015 with friends and had a wonderful holiday. The unspoiled views, from the pool area and the terrace outside of the Cottage , are incredible. The villa itself is well proportioned with separate bathrooms and a private outside area with a table and chairs to eat. The grounds are well maintained and there is an inviting pool with plenty of sunbeds. The village of Casole is a 10-min walk uphill , boasting a few charming restaurants - also a small supermarket . We had a blissful stay overall, that included day trips to San Gimignano (30 mins) and Florence (1h ). We would highly recommend a stay at Casa Noce.

Tuscany dream vacation

We were 2 couples from Sweden and stayed here for 1 week. We had this beautiful Cottage so beautiful decorated and well maintained. Federica and her Mom are wonderful hosts, giving us advice on different spots to go to. We loved every minute of our stay here!
