300 Yr Old Breton Farmhouse In Tranquil Location With Heated Swimming Pool

The Farmhouse, over 200 years old, is of stone and oak beam construction. fully equipped, with the advantage of central heating to complement the wood burning stove, making it ideal for summer and winter vacations. Outbuildings have been converted for recreational use and the grounds which are enclosed, include a heated, fenced swimming pool (seasonal), sun terrace and large games room containing Mini Basketball, table tennis, snooker, bowling alley, darts, music centre and various outdoor and indoor games. There are safe playing areas in the grounds where there are swings, a wendy house etc, The orchard is available for football, cricket and badminton. There are outside dining tables to accommodate 10 plus, as well as other tables and chairs, parasols and sun loungers for relaxing on the lawns in divided areas of the grounds. The old Bakehouse provides a unique, covered barbecue area.

Jonesfest in France 2014

We booked this to accommodate us, our children and grandchildren for a weeks holiday to celebrate my retirement. 7 Adults, 2 teenagers and 4 children plus 2 additional adults for a couple of nights. We were looking for somewhere with plenty of room, facilities and activities to keep every one amused and La Foret de Glenne really fitted the bill. Other than visiting Fougeres and a couple of meals out we really had it all on site. Typical old French Gite accommodation it was really fully equipped, not state of the art modern but everything you need for a rural holiday. Kev & Linda made us very welcome (great welcome provisions basket) and made us feel that the facilities were truly ours for the duration. Everybody loved the pool and games room. Everyone agreed a great venue for a family get together.

pre winter break

The property is fab, I love the setting, so peaceful, yet close enough for lots of outings. we were blessed with excellent weather even for the time of the year, not the first time I might add. This property and the hosts are never a let down, so obliging with every need, they always go the extra mile, cant wait to go again, keep up the great work, good luck, xx
