What a wonderful break at a welcoming and wonderfully relaxing property. John and Ann were the perfect hosts and could not have made us more welcome. We immediately felt like it was our house. And such a great and peaceful location.

Wonderful relaxing break in the countryside

We stayed at this property for our annual family holiday. There were 14 of us aged 4 to 74. We wanted for nothing! The thoughful and kind hosts felt more like family than landlords, without ever invading our space. The location was great and we look forward to a return visit .

Plenty of room to roam

We stayed at La Grand Metairie to celebrate a birthday and had a cracking time despite the changeable weather. The property has plenty of space for a bigger party and lots of activities to keep even the teens away from screens. Unlike a lot of properties, this one is very well equipped - you won’t run out of pots, pans and crockery! And even if you wish to cook the most obscure dishes, the equipment is there. The hosts were very welcoming and helped whenever we had a query. The location is remote, but the bakery was a short drive away and we made lovely day trips to nearby towns, Mont Saint-Michel and San Malo. Having good internet provided was crucial as mobile network was a bit patchy. All and all we had a delightful week in Fuegerolles-du-Plessis.

Stunning Stone built Holiday Gite

What a beautiful place to stay. Spotless large house with 7 beautiful bedrooms plus 5 bathrooms. We were just a small party but it is just perfect for big family holidays, large well furnished lounge with huge log burner, 3 big very sofa's. A great big party room, with wood burner table tennis darts & a piano. Not 1 but 2 kitchens both with dishwashers, laundry room. every thing needed for great holiday, we spent 3 weeks & sad to leave this wonderful home from home. lovely big garden lots of parking & a real plus, a very safe for children also dogs, gate's are shut & garden all fenced. The local village has excellent supermarket plus bars. I loved the high quality cookware & nothing like eating off Royal Worcester. Piping hot water & great showers. We were the first people to stay & will will be back. We have rented many gites & holiday homes in the past but never anything up to the high standard of La Grand Metairie. In spite of the weather we could not have had a better holiday Our hosts Annie & Jon could not do enough & know the area well & were able to suggest so many places to visit. We wish them well with this ;ove;y Gite.

Super week end!

Notre sejour sest super bien passé, le gite est idéal pour de grands groupes (nous étions 14) et les échanges avec les propriétaires (en préparation du séjour puis pendant) furent toujours rapides et bienveillants. 1 grand merci à eux!

Agréable weekend de fête

Grande maison accueillante, avec de nombreuses commodités. Jon nous a accueillis avec ferveur. Nous avons adoré le salon cosy avec le poêle à bois. Un petit nettoyage supplémentaire des ustensiles de cuisine serait utile. Les chambres à l'étage sont un peu fraiches.

Wonderful experience

le séjour était juste parfait! La maison est extraordinaire pour un grand groupe : beaucoup de chambres et de pièces. La maison est immense et joliment décorée, elle est parfaitement équipée, notamment au niveau des deux cuisines. A l'extérieur, tout est parfait aussi, piscine, baby foot, barbecue... il y en a pour tout le monde! Pour finir Ann et Jon sont des hôtes exceptionnels d'attention et de gentillesse. Fijn familiehuis met grote tuin

We hadden heerlijk de ruimte. Wel ontzettend veel spullen in huis, alles stond vol. De slaapkamers hebben wel veel kastruimte. Met twee woonkamers en twee keukens voor elk wat wils. Prima voor twee weken. De eigenaren waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De bedden waren opgemaakt en handdoeken beschikbaar. Ze wassen de handdoeken en beddengoed voor je als je dat wilt. Voor uitstapjes moesten we wel vaak 1 tot 2 uur rijden. De stad Fougerolles is de moeite waard, evenals een wandeling bij Fosse d'Arthour. Verder de steden en stranden bij de kust. Mont St. Michel; Saint-Malo, Rennes en bv Omaha Beach zijn prachtig. Een dagje bij het huis blijven is ook geen straf. Met het zwembad, tafeltennis- en voetbaltafel hoeft niemand zich te vervelen.

Un très agréable weekend de l ascension à motos ✨

Nous avons passé un super weekend de l ascension dans ce gîte qui est très agréable, spacieux, très cosy, et encore plus joli que sur les photos avec tout ce qu il faut pour partager de beaux moments de convivialité. Hôtes très accueillants,symphatiques et soucieux du bien être des locataires! Grand gite avec beaucoup de chambres et presque autant de salles de bain, adapté aux familles nombreuses! Deco plutôt kitch et dans son jus! Beaucoup de vaisselle ( trop on s'y perd!) et pas toujours très nette!
