Peaceful
We booked magnoon villa for one week, but landed up staying for 4 weeks, so i think that speaks for it self. Magnoon villa was far better than what we expected, so peaceful and homely, with the birds and the monkeys, and watching the rice ripen while we were there. Mahinde and his family made us very welcome, if we had a problem they dealt with it immediately. We enjoyed the barbeque, which we shared with the family plus several children in the neighbourhood, it was lovely to see them joining in with us, and the curry was very nice, but far too much. Even though it was 2 kilometres from the beach, it was lovely to walk sometimes and meet all the locals, so friendly, and wanting to talk to us and wanting to show us there homes, and inviting us in for a cup of tea, where do you find that in the uk? We were very sad to leave, because we had such an enjoyable holiday. If you have never tried self catering in sri lanka, give Magnoon a try, you wont regret it.
