- 1) Please be considerate to our neighbours and refrain from playing exceptionally loud music and making a lot of noise outside the villa after 10pm. 2) Electricity in Cyprus is the most expensive in Europe and we operate a 'fair use' policy. Usage significantly above regular use will be charged at an additional £50 per week. Please, therefore, always turn the air conditioning off when you are not in the bedrooms and never leave it on when you leave the property to go out. Please also turn off the outside ceiling fan and light and the large fan inside before you go out. 4) Always close & lock the patio doors including the ones in the master bedroom and the windows when you go out and close the main door. 5) Please be careful if your feet are dirty when sitting on the sofa. The colour is quite light and shows the slightest of marks so if you want to spread out and relax, which we highly recommend, please put a towel down and please refrain from sitting or lying on the sofa with sun cream/oil on. 6) If you need additional hot water and need to turn the immersion on, please make sure you turn it off after 15 mins so that it doesn't burn out the element and leave you without the ability to use it for the rest of your stay. 7) Please don't touch anything in the pool house. The equipment in there is very expensive and has been set in a particular way to ensure a balance of heat and cleanliness. 8) Please enjoy your stay and most importantly have fun and relax.
Family villa holiday
When booking this villa you need to be aware that dog rescue homes are popular in the surrounding area, and you may well be subject to a dawn and dusk choir from them. Also the villa owners next door have 3 dogs who like you to know of their presence. As for the vista it is quite wonderful morning and evening.I myself like to take advantage of the ability to bbq when ever possible, this is greatly hampered by the fact that the bbq area has no lighting so unless you are a ninja chef take a good head torch.I did have 1 or 2 minor issues with the property equipment which were quickly dealt with by management. the kitchen has no cooker safe roasting dishes or corkscrew ( which I have resolved ). I was also disappointed not to get a bedding change after the 1st week but there is a washing machine. On a positive note the poolman is excellent and a very good source of local knowledge.
A great place to relax and recharge the batteries. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable for a family. The pool was lovely and wonderful views from it. It was a beautiful setting even for the night sky . Although close to most things on the island and car is essential. Well worth a visit. E Hart- Hertfordshire
A lovely villa for a relaxing, peaceful holiday in Cyprus.
The villa was in a quiet, peaceful part of the village (it took a few wrong turns in the dark to find it despite good directions!), within walking distance of supermarkets and restaurants(Katerina was lovely and the Olive Tree makes delicious meals). The villa was clean, comfortably furnished and very well equipped although a cool box would have been very useful for outings. There were plenty of towels including beach towels. The pool was a good size for my morning (and sometimes evening) swim, but also suitable for less able swimmers. We spent a very enjoyable day lazing in and around it to recharge our batteries. It was also very welcome after sightseeing in the heat! The area around the pool was well furnished with an assortment of sofas, tables and loungers. We sometimes ate outside to appreciate the view across the valley. As the villa was near the end of the row it also felt very private. We hired a car for our stay and found the villa well situated to explore this part of the island, approximately 30 minutes from Paphos or Polis which have plenty of beaches, shops and historic places to visit, as well as boat tours. We even had a great time at the zoo! The Troodos mountains were quite a drive away but beautiful to see (perfect for anyone who likes hiking). There are plenty of churches and monasteries in the area, we went to Kykos monastery which has stunning religious murals. We would have liked to see more of the mountain areas but didn't have time on this trip. There was a problem with the air conditioning in one room but this was quickly sorted out. There was a folder with plenty of information concerning the villa, shop, etc however it would have been useful to have leaflets of things to do on Cyprus. Fortunately there was good Wi-Fi at the villa to help plan our days. We all enjoyed our stay here and hope to return one day. We would recommend this villa for a relaxing holiday or as a base to explore this part of the island, away from the more lively tourist hotels.
Lovely villa with amazing views. Very well kitted out for a brilliant stay.
Had the loveliest rest at the villa,it was spotless on arrival with everything we could have needed, hours spent in the pool. The olive tree tavern is a must, friendly and lovely food. Would definitely return. Thank you Tanya and Nathan!

About Tanya Sinclair
I was born and bred in London and I live with my husband and 2 daughters in North London on a busy road with double decker buses hurtling past day and night. I am an HR Change and Transformation Consultant and lead a busy life as a working mum.
Tanya Sinclair purchased this Villa in 2006
Why Tanya Sinclair chose Polemi
Our house in Polemi is nestled in the foothills of the Troodos mountains with views of the local vineyards and mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. It is such a contrast from London life and the place we love to escape in the summer to unwind and recharge.
What makes this Villa unique
The breathtaking, unobstructed views of the vineyards and mountains meant that we immediately fell in love with the villa and it has not disappointed. In all of the reviews it remains the most talked about aspect of the property, followed by the relaxing, well equipped pool area.
