About this property

Riverfront Home Bordering GLACIER NATIONAL PARK on 9 acres!!

This unique property consists 9 treed acres along the Middle Fork of the Flathead River which borders Glacier National Park. We are located between West Glacier and East Glacier so there is great access to either entrance of Glacier National Park. Relax on the deck and listen to the river, watch the rafters go by or gaze into Glacier National Park during the day and enjoy a firepit in the evening. A trail (many stairs) down the hill takes you to the river where there is a large rock beach area and some fantastic fishing holes.
The amenities of the home consist of a fully equipped kitchen stocked with the basics, fireplace, WIFI (please read below), gas BBQ, firepit (firewood provided) picnic table and lawn chairs. Both bedrooms, loft and one full bath are located on the second floor and there is another full bath on the main floor. You will enjoy your down time with rustic log beds, new Sealy mattresses, leather living room furniture, a large dining area and a kitchen with all the comforts of home. If you're looking for a getaway from the crowds, a convenient place to explore Glacier National Park and a beautiful place to stay, look no further.
We are 24 miles from the West Glacier Park Entrance and 35 miles from the East Glacier Park entrance. Another bonus is that on the other side of our property we look directly into Great Bear Wilderness where there are even more trails to explore!
There is a small one bedroom cabin on the property that may be occupied during your stay. The cabins are not within eyesight of each other so there is ample privacy.
We may have a on site host next year who is very familiar with Glacier Park. This will be decided in the spring of 2025 and they will be located behind the main home which will not interfere with your views/privacy etc.

****Minimum age requirement for guests at this home is 16 years of age. Please contact owner if you have younger children as this home may not be suitable****

******We recently upgraded to Starlink WIFI. While speeds can be incredible it can also slow down during high use times and if multiple people are using the internet so please be aware. All calls are through WIFI calling as there is no cell service in our area so please make sure your phone is set up for WIFI calling prior to arriving!!!***

Best VRBO Ever!

The property is even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. The host was lovely and responded to our messages so quickly! The house was very well stocked — we never needed any extra toilet paper/paper towels/seasonings. It was painful to leave such an amazing place! We would stay here over and over again!

Sue was very helpful in letting us know about the passes we would need to access the park well ahead of our arrival and other tid bits to make our stay more enjoyable. The cabin was excellent and was a great place to stay.

Glacier Vacation

The house was wonderful place for a basecamp during our stay at Glacier. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It was perfect accommodations for two couples. There was a full can of bear spray at the house and we bought and left another can for future guest. Enjoyed setting in the living room looking out the huge windows while sipping coffee each morning. Loved our stay.

Perfect Montana getaway near GNP

We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this one likely ranks as our favorite. The house is both both beautiful and cozy, all amenities you could think of are included, the location is wonderful between both park entrances, the property is peaceful, and communication with Sue is excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again for a trip to Glacier National Park and the surrounding area.

Fabulous cabin!

This is a beautiful cabin and located perfectly to visit both the west and east side of GNP. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed! We often rent cabins and this is definitely one of the best we have stayed at!!! The owners have done an amazing job to make sure there guests feel welcomed!

Perfection

This was an amazing location perfectly situated between West Glacier and East Glacier! We were greeted during our first meal by a large deer outside the beautiful windows. We were torn each day because we wanted to stay and enjoy the beautiful house. We saw a mother goat and her two kids at Goat Lick. If you want to enjoy luxury, and peace and quiet- this is your place.

Glacier river cabin

Amazing week at this cabin along the Flathead River only 20 min from west glacier entrance. All the amenities you could ever dream of in a perfect forested setting. Will definitely stay here again next time we are back at this way!! Highly recommend. Best VRBO rental experience we have had!

Beautiful home in a fantastic location!

This home was nothing short of incredible! The property is amazing and the house was spectacular. It was stocked with all the supplies you could ever need. Sue was wonderful! She was very responsive and hospitable. The house is situated between east and west glacier entrances. Unfortunately for us, East Glacier was closed due to the current circumstances but we went into the West Glacier Entrance ever day. A short 20 minute drive to the gate. We also enjoyed the river down the steep stairs everyday. It is a trek but it’s worth it! Thank you Sue for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful home

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was beautiful and perfect for us and friends (2 couples). The house is convenient to both East and West Glacier entrances. The property is lovely - very quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting outside looking down at the river. Sue was fantastic and responded to questions quickly. We will definitely recommend this home and/or return in the future!

Gorgeous, remote respite

Sue and Leah's house was beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked. The property is located next to Flathead River and there is a short (but steep) trail down to the river. We spent one afternoon sitting by the river and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We even saw a bald eagle. Sue was friendly and responsive to our questions. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to come visit again one day.

A piece of home in the majestic GNP

We absolutely loved the cabin, the location, the provisions, the great instructions for living well in this location! The scenery, the sunsets, the perfect halfway between East and West Glacier was perfect! Never too long of a drive anywhere! We had relatives who had flown in for the wedding and they were nicely jealous of our location and the beauty of the cabin! ;-)

Glacier Get Away

We were looking to get away into nature and that is exactly what we got. The home and property were gorgeous. On our last night there we saw two large bucks right off of the back patio! Sue was a pleasure to communicate with and we definitely felt like we were being welcomed into a home instead of renting a house.We would definitely stay here again.

Sue is amazing and so easy to work with. Very helpful with any questions we had. The house is perfect and extremely comfortable. Very nicely furnished, super clean, and so well equipped with every amenity you could want. Well stocked kitchen with great appliances, etc.. It was like cooking at home. The location is the best part of the house. Perched up on the river with beautiful views and access to fishing or just hanging out on the river bank watching the rafts go by. Also perfectly located bc it is convenient to West Glacier, GTTSR, and East Glacier. We would rent from Sue and stay here again and again if we are fortunate enough to come back to Glacier.

Perfect

I've never had a better home rental experience. The home is exactly what we were looking for - a comfortable place to rest and hang out after long adventures in the park. The home is in an amazing setting with insanely beautiful views. We spent most of our time outside grilling and hanging out by the fire and we definitely headed down the steps to the river to take it all in. The inside of the home is beautiful and comfortable too though! We loved the giant windows that let the outside in. Comfortable couches let us recline and put our feet up after hiking and tons of board games kept us busy in the evening. We were blown away by how Sue seemed to have thought of everything. There was cut/dry firewood outside, all the kitchen supplies we could have possibly needed, laundry essentials, and even bear spray that we took with us on our hikes(but luckily didn't need). We had everything we needed. We stopped by the inn across the road for huck pie on Sue's recommendation & were glad we did. All in all - I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay! We hope to be back soon.

Wonderful Stay

This is a lovely location. Just down a short dirt road and into the trees. We loved how isolated it felt even though it was close to the highway with easy access to both West and East Glacier. The home was absolutely clean with a nice welcome basket when we arrived. There was even a nice bowl for water and a pet bed for our little dog that was traveling with us. The fire pit in the back was perfect for a hot dog roast and smores and the deck is a wonderful place to just relax and watch the river. The house actually became one of the highlights of our visit.

A beautiful home (inside and out) in an absolutely stunning location.

The home is off the beaten path, away from the road, and in the woods. The half-hour drive to/from Glacier National Park is an easy drive and it is beautiful too. The home is modern, comfortably furnished, and quite possibly one of the cleanest homes I've every been in (rivals my own). It's important to note that neither bedrooms upstairs have an attached en-suite, but don't let that stop you. It actually looks better in person than in the pictures. The setting is magical - the views from the house and to the river will take your breath away. We are ready to book now for our next vacation! Can't wait!

This place has it all and then some! Very clean. Comfortable beds and furniture. complete kitchen with all the amenities. laundry facilities. expansive views. river access, - terrific fly fishing. bbq. fire pit and privacy! We loved every minute we were there. Sue, the host was so easy to work with. We will be returning - already booked for 2018! Can hardly wait

We're from Canada and we bought this property after years of searching for the perfect spot....well, we found it!! We come down to Montana a fair bit but decided to share it with others as we can't be down here on a full time basis.

Why they chose this property

I first discovered this spot as a teenager when my dad used to take me rafting/fishing on the Middle Fork of the Flathead. There is something magical about this place and if you've ever been to this area I'm sure you would agree. We love to hike, fish and raft in the summer and snowshoe in the winter. This is our year round playground!! The mountains, wildlife and endless activities you can do are at your fingertips.

What makes this property unique

Location location location. You'll find very few properties that are on the Middle Fork of the Flathead which borders Glacier National Park. We are 24 miles from the West Glacier Park Entrance and 35 miles from the East Glacier Park entrance. There are also hundreds of thousands of acres of Great Bear Wilderness directly across the highway so you can pick your playground!!
