About this property

Cottage in village location with lovely views to the Hambleton Hills and White H

Colton Loft is located in the quiet village of Husthwaite offering accommodation for 6 people in 3 ensuite double bedrooms. Lovely views of the Hambleton Hills. Within easy access of the North Yorkshire Moors, The Wolds, East Coast and Yorkshire Dales. There is parking for one car on the driveway and street parking. A large, well equipped fitted dining kitchen on the ground floor, with patio doors to a small paved terrace area. Upstairs is a large landing with a desk and seating, a large sitting room with tv and an electric stove and comfortable seating, with lovely views to the White Horse on the Hambleton Hills. All three bedrooms have double beds and ensuite bathrooms. Easingwold is the nearest small town (about 3 miles away) with plenty of shops, cafes, pubs, banks etc. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area for those in need of a rest from cooking. The village pub is the Plum & Partridge (01347)868642 and is a short walk from Colton Loft. Visitors also like the Fauconberg at Coxwold, the Carlton Inn at Carlton Husthwaite and the Durham Ox at Crayke. There are many places of interest to explore - by car, bike or on foot. A number of National Trust properties within a short drive as well as Castle Howard, a lovely place to visit for the whole family. Sorry, no pets allowed. Please note that the rear patio is enclosed and gated, but there is a POND in the garden beyond, so SMALL CHILDREN WILL NEED SUPERVISION at all times. All the beds are doubles.. THIS IS A NO SMOKING PROPERTY

I bought and converted the property in 2012. It was originally a Wesleyan Church Hall and is located next to my home - so I am always available to help visitors if needed.

Why they chose this property

I bought the property because it is in the village where I have lived for 25 years and is in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. The village is quiet and peaceful but within easy reach of many interesting areas and places to visit. We are surrounded by lovely countryside and the view from the cottage is towards the Hambleton Hills and the White Horse at Kilburn.

What makes this property unique

The property is conveniently located for visiting all the attractions Yorkshire has to offer. Visitors seem to like the setting, the decor and the fact that all bedrooms are ensuite.
