Thank you for your lovely review. It’s always great to hear that our guests have enjoyed their holiday in our Portugal home. Regarding your comments on finding the villa, I should point out for the benefit of future guests that we send all guests the exact address and detailed directions in advance. Our four page document includes the precise route to the villa with photos of which way to go at every junction along the way and specific photos of the turning into Villa itself. Previous guests have found these instructions very helpful.

I am glad to you see from your comments that you have fully enjoyed the primary benefits of our home in Portugal - being a spacious villa with an excellent 10m pool within walking distance to the beach. The interior decor is to our personal choice and in keeping with the local, rustic charm. The beds were all purchased relatively recently from IKEA, so am very surprised to read that you found these uncomfortable. None of our other guests have ever mentioned this. As our property is very popular and we have frequent change-overs, minor damage caused by out-going guests cannot always be replaced or repaired permanently straightaway. Temporary fixes may be needed as was the case with the small tear on the kitchen bar stool seat. Both Owner and Local Agent are keen emphasise to future guests that we pride ourselves on providing prompt communication and resolution of any concerns. However, this guest did not have a mobile phone and so all queries were sent by email to the Owner in the UK only… i did not always become aware of these, especially at weekends when I am not always monitoring my emails. I then had to WhatsApp guest questions to the local agent who then had to walk in person to the property to discuss the concern. This was a very inefficient process and delays occurred. All previous guests have had mobile phones and WhatsApp queries directly to the Local Agent who will always reply immediately. Future guests are encouraged to address any local issues directly to the local agent. Furthermore, the weather during this guest’s stay was unusually bad due to the storm which crossed southern Europe at that time. Their holiday experience and many of the issues they raised were related to these conditions which were completely outside our control.
