A luxury ground floor apartment superbly located on the Monte Dourado resort which is right in the centre of Carvoeiro, and a very short walk from the beach and town centre (500 metres). The apartment is like new and has been updated to a very high standard and includes air conditioning in the living room and both bedrooms. There are two spacious bedrooms, the master bedroom with en-suite and second bedroom (a camp bed can be provided at a cost of £10 per night for fifth person but not being an adult) with a shower room. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and large fridge freezer. The lounge has comfortable seating with a 40" flat screen TV, and includes cable TV providing English TV channels in HD (BBC1 & 2, ITV, CBBC, Sky News and Sky Sports and many more) plus many other language channels, a DVD player (there are a large collection of DVD's, books and games for all the family to enjoy) and also includes a log burning fire for those cooler evenings. The lounge leads out onto to a lovely sunny terrace with quality table & chairs, and lovely views over one of the five swimming pools (includes children's pool) within the resort (which are available to all guests) and a small garden. The apartment also includes free WiFi and a digital laptop safe (clients must ensure they have their own insurance to cover contents held).
The apartment lies in a nice secluded spot which is quiet & peaceful and has well maintained gardens with tennis courts 100 metres away.
A car is not necessary but there is plenty of on-street parking close to the apartment all year round.
The apartment is managed locally by Monte Dourado and the reception is only 100 metres away (there is a phone connection in the apartment, so you can be assured that staff will be on hand to ensure that you have a nice relaxing holiday, whether to book a car, trip or arrange a taxi). The staff are very helpful and are available seven days a week and will assist you with booking trips, golf, airport transfers, car hire or any other information you may need. There are also baby cots, high chairs and folding beds available upon request for hire.
The main pool is heated from 1 October through to 30 April.
Electricity is charged to clients for bookings from Nov through to the end March.
Pool towels are provided, and can be exchanged at reception for 1€ per towel.
Large beach mats are available for all guests to use.
A maid service is provided 3 times a week for basic cleaning. Bed Linen change is done weekly and bath towel change mid week. Additional cleaning can be arranged at the guest's expense.
All bookings from 1st November to 31 March will have to pay for any electricity used. Prices are based on 2 persons, any additional guest will be charged extra.
A information document will be provided on receipt of the final payment.
Cleaning and linen services are included in the price, together with free use of a laptop safe (own insurance recommended) and WiFi.
For those essential provisions there is a mini-market less than a 5 minute walk away, and also the local municipal market where you can get fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat daily (except Sunday).

We purchased our 'place in the sun' in the beautiful village of Carvoeiro, where we have been visiting for many years. We currently live in the UK but our intention is to eventually retire to Carvoeiro. Though that is some years away, we thought we would share our 'place in the sun' with others so they can also experience and hopefully come to love Carvoeiro and the Algarve like we do.

As a result Carvoeiro is now mostly free of large apartment complexes and big hotel high rise buildings, as only permission for two-storey buildings are being granted.
Carvoeiro is a very sought-after holiday destination and a wonderful place for permanent residence. Those who have travelled through the Algarve and other southern European coastal areas appreciate the natural beauty of Carvoeiro and always love to come back….to the jewel of the Algarve.
