Simply amazing spot!

Beautiful and awesome place: super clean, totally equipped, comfortable and so close to many amenities! Bars (live bands & karaoke) and restaurants are very close. The beach was only a 5 minutes walk. Super duper host Michelle was quickly available and so kind! Totally recommend it!

Fabulous apartment

Great experience from start to finish. Michelle the owner was really responsive and helpful with any questions. Great restaurant recommendations - particularly Jota Lita, which we loved. Apartment was spacious , very tasteful and so much better equipped than a package rental would be.

Lovely apartment right next to the pool. Everything you need. Very close to the centre of town although a little hilly on the way back but nice to take it easy. Nice restaurants close by and supermarkets 2 minutes away and everyone was nice and friendly.

Fantastic to be back in Carvoeiro (and back at Michelle's property in Monte Dourado) - visit number 3 to the town and second to this property. Just as we remembered - everything we could wish for in a holiday property with easy access to the pool (which kept both our boys happy)! Beautiful apartment, kitchen better than I have at home, pool & sunbed's right outside the front door, easy check in. Very close to the beach & restaurants, but far enough away to be very peaceful, Michelle was very helpful with recommending car hire & any other questions we had, would recommend to anyone, only thing to note is that in April the temperature drops from 20 during the day to 14 at night so take warm clothing, all positive & hopefully will be back soon.

What a fabulous apartment! Clean and tidy. Had all of the amenities you needed. The location was within a 5 min walk to downtown Carvoeiro where you can find many restaurants and shops. The owner responded in a timely fashion to any questions we had. She was excellent to deal with. Highly recommend this apartment. Great stay! Coming back for sure.

Casa Lily - Monte Dourado

Fantastic holiday at the Monte Dourado resort in Carvoeiro. This was our second time staying at this great resort and Michelle’s apartment was lovely - modernised to a high standard & very tastefully decorated. It’s situation right by the pool was also great to allow easy access for the kids. Michelle was fantastic to deal with, helping to organise airport transfers for us and ensuring a welcome pack of essentials in the fridge. I would highly recommend considering this apartment if you are looking at Carvoeiro as your holiday destination. We’ll certainly be looking to book again!

We purchased our 'place in the sun' in the beautiful village of Carvoeiro, where we have been visiting for many years. We currently live in the UK but our intention is to eventually retire to Carvoeiro. Though that is some years away, we thought we would share our 'place in the sun' with others so they can also experience and hopefully come to love Carvoeiro and the Algarve like we do.

Why they chose this property

The Carvoeiro Area – Jewel of the Algarve

 Carvoeiro is one of the nicest and best preserved areas of the entire Algarve. The responsible authorities realized in the 1970´s that the natural beauty of this region needed to be preserved and applied rigorous restrictions.
As a result Carvoeiro is now mostly free of large apartment complexes and big hotel high rise buildings, as only permission for two-storey buildings are being granted.
Carvoeiro is a very sought-after holiday destination and a wonderful place for permanent residence. Those who have travelled through the Algarve and other southern European coastal areas appreciate the natural beauty of Carvoeiro and always love to come back….to the jewel of the Algarve.

The apartment is In a fantastic central location and situated in a well respected resort of Monte Dourado, and offers a unique location within walking distance of the village and a view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

With its private and secluded feeling yet only a few steps from the village and the beach, Monte Dourado is the perfect place for your holiday in the Algarve.

Our guests can enjoy five pool areas, each with a children’s pool. You can play tennis on our two tennis courts or relax with a book from the library in the reception.

The staff speak several languages and are there ready to help make the utmost of your holiday.

Close to the Algarve’s most beautiful and worldwide awarded beaches and within a ten minutes drive you are at two of Algarve’s best Golf courses, namely Vale de Pinta and Quinta do Gramacho.

Five minute walk to the centre and beach but in a quiet hillside location. There are lots of places to visit including Lagoa, Ferragudo, Portimao (can take a water taxi from Ferragudo), Alvor, Silves (plus many more) and Zoomarine and Slide and Splash.
