There are three bedrooms with seven beds and a sofa bed in the living room.

Wonderful cottage at the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this place. Despite slightly colder weather it was cozy and lovely with a beautiful view over the lake.

Alles gut, bis auf sehr kleine Ausnahmen. Generell super Lage, schöner Ausblick, schöne Sitzbereiche, Sauna, Kanu, Ruderboot alles zur Nutzung da. Bett war etwas durchgelegen. Leider fehlten wie überall Moskito Netze, die Wassertonne in der Küche ist sehr schlecht zu bedienen und sollte mal durch etwas besseres getauscht werden. Zusammenfassend aber sehr schön.

Einsamkeit am Vänern

Schöne, einsame Lage. Tolle Holzsauna.Fahrräder hatten leider platte Reifen. Ruderboot und Kanu stehen zur Verfügung, haben wir jedoch nicht genutzt. Fernseher außer Funktion. Leider keine Wanderwege, aber man kann auf den Schotterstraßen mit nur spärlichem Verkehrsaufkommen gut spazieren. Einkaufsmöglichkeit ca. 20 km entfernt. Endreinigung muss gemacht oder bezahlt werden, was aus der Fewo-direkt Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich ist.

Wunderbar!

Sehr schönes Häuschen in der Wildnis, direkt am Ufer des glasklaren Vänernsees. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und alles in gutem Zustand. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Lage samt Aussicht auf den See ist ein absolutes Highlight. Wir waren Mitte August hier und hatten die gesamte Umgebung nahezu für uns alleine. Es gibt noch einige wenige weitere Häuser in der Umgebung, die man vom Grundstück aus aber weder hört, noch sieht. Für Kinder ganz toll: Es gibt zwei kleine Sandstrände und einen Bach zum Rummatschen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Im Haus findet man dazu noch etwas Indoor- und Outdoor-Spielzeug. Was man wissen sollte: Man ist wirklich weit ab vom Schuss. Die Anreise erfolgt über mehrere Kilometer Schotterpiste und einen Forstweg. Es lässt sich aber alles gut befahren. Mobilfunkempfang ist am Haus kaum bis gar nicht vorhanden. Dafür gibt es aber einen Internetzugang. Was uns in der direkten Umgebung ein wenig gefehlt hat: Es gibt kein Wanderwegenetz. Alles in allem hatten wir hier eine super Zeit und können das Haus jedem empfehlen, der echte Ruhe in einer wunderschönen Natur genießen will.

Super Lage

mit unseren beiden Kinder 8 und 11 Jahre haben wir im Sommer wunderbare zwei Wochen im Haus von Brigitta verbracht. Das Haus bietet für eine Familie genügend Platz und ist liebevoll und komplett ausgestattet. Für jedes Wetter/Sonnenstand gibt es Sitzmöglichkeiten. Insbesondere die Lage ist einzigartig. Selbst in der Hauptsaison sieht man wenig andere Badegäste am Strand. Die wenigen Nachbarhäuser sind ebenfalls weiter entfernt. Für unsere Kinder waren der Strand in unmittelbarer Nähe und der Wald ein Paradies zum spielen. Nach Säffle muss man eine halbe Stunde fahren. Hier gibt es einen großen Supermarkt und einige Restaurants. Teilweise verläuft der Weg nach Säffle über Schotterstrassen. In 12 km Entfernung gibt es einen "Tante Emma Laden" mit Kaffee Brigitta war sehr hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Auch das Laden unseres E Autos an einer extra 220 V Steckdose wurde uns (gegen Bezahlung) ermöglicht. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen!!

Even better than expected!

Modern, well decorated and furnished house. It is more spacious than the pictures suggested. Owners have an eye for good interior design. We felt at home from the first minute. The view on lake Vänern from the dining room and terrace is marvelous. There are a few other holiday homes in the vicinity (not in direct sight), but in october we practically had the whole bay just for ourselves. The shore line consists of rocky parts with lots of puddles and little brooks, but also clean sandy beach-like parts probably perfect for swimming in summer. Our 3 year old son couldn't get enough of it, there is no better playground for adventurous kids than this. Did not get to use the sauna and boat but both looked very new and clean. We are definitely planning to come back. Thanks a lot to the very dedicated owners, we had a great time. No better place for the urgently needed time out from the stress of everyday life.

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus im Wald am See

Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in diesem ruhig gelegenen Ferienhaus. Das Haus liegt unglaublich schön im Wald mit Blick auf den See. Birgitta war eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Das Haus bietet alles was man für einen entspannten und erholsamen Urlaub braucht und der Blick aus der Sauna sucht seines gleichen. Man sollte allerdings dran denken auf dem Hinweg einzukaufen, da der nächste Supermarkt 25 km entfernt ist. Wir kommen gerne im Sommer nochmal wieder.

A perfect late summer holiday during COVID-19

We used the house with our small family (a one year old toddler and a four year old kid) during end of August and begin of September. The house is perfectly located. The next house is not visible (>100m away). It is just 50m to the Vänern with a small sandy beach. Perfect for our children. If you need something, just walk to the house and you have it. Every parent know, there is always something missing. There are no small islands in front of the bay. So the coastline is not protected and not so perfect for kayaking and rowing but anything else is perfect. The photos at the portal don't show the great environment. We don't know how many people visit this place during the summer high season but after the high season we noticed just one caravan for one night at the bay. (You need roughly 30 minutes to Säffle for the next ICA or COOP.) If you like hiking, there are lots of interesting routes but the classical natural reserves like Sörknatten need some driving around. If you are just for nice hikes, you will find some. Just buy a hiking map (there is a good book shop in Amal and a tourist info in Säffle). The owners were great. They stopped by after 14 days to check if they need to cut the grass and switch off a light (sic). After we left the house and went home, I noticed that I lost my wallet. They contacted the ICA and the police for me, went an additional time to the house and looked for the wallet. Everything after I was already back in Germany. This was amazing. Summary: a very nice house with perfect hosts.

Wonderful property with excellent lake view and swimming access

Extremely quiet and beautiful area. The owners were very helpful and hospitable with questions and arrangements. The free use of a small rowboat, and a amazing wood fired sauna made the trip quite memorable for all of us. The beaches are nice and lots of shallow water for kids to play. Hopping around the rocks looking for wildlife was lots of fun too. The location is remote so bring lots of groceries and supplies with you, and just relax.
