Wonderful House in the French Countryside

We loved the beautifully furnished house in the serene countryside. Watching evening and night fall from the garden across, and the rooster in the morning are some of my favorite memories. Hella's list of nearby attractions, such as swimming holes, hiking, restaurants etc was great! A car is a must, but drives through the region were very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your house, Hella!

Het huis en omgeving voelt heel erg typisch Frans aan, dat maakt het zo charmant. Inrichting is compleet en zeer sfeervol. De communicatie met Hella is heel snel en plezierig. We hebben hier een heerlijke week doorgebracht.

Une propriété aménagée avec intelligence et goût dans un hameau et une région magnifiques

Une maison dotée de beaucoup de charme, agencée avec goût, accueillante pour notre famille comprenant deux adolescents, du fait aussi de ses deux espaces adjacents que sont la terrasse et le jardin, de la beauté du hameau où elle se trouve (avec tables de ping-pong sur une petite esplanade publique plantée en contrebas et un très beau lieu de baignade proche dans une petite gorge de la rivière de La Mare). Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre offert par ces différents espaces pour mener des activités simples de lecture, de pratique musicale, de jeux de société, de randonnées ou de baignade. La région est en outre superbe et offre de multiples opportunités de randonnées plus importantes et de visites culturelles variées. Nous avons toutefois souffert de la chaleur, particulièrement dans les chambres du dernier étage et sur la terrasse qui produisait de fortes réverbérations, mais du fait d'une arrivée sur place à la fin d'une vague caniculaire, quand la chaleur était encore emmagasinée dans la maison, et de la survenue d'un deuxième événement caniculaire lors de notre deuxième semaine de séjour. Nous avons regretté cette situation météorologique qui nous a empêchés de profiter du lieu et d'explorer la région autant que nous l'aurions escomptés et espérons revenir lors d'une période plus propice !

Südfranzösische Dorfidylle

Das Haus hat sehr viel Charme und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre. Ganz besonders die Terrasse vor dem Haus mit der alten Robinie, die zu jeder Tages- und Abendzeit der perfekte Platz zum Entspannen war. Die alten Möbel im Haus unterstreichen den besonderen Charakter des Dorfhauses. Alles ist liebevoll und wohnlich gestaltet. Kleine Einschränkungen hatten wir bei den Betten, die für große Menschen zum Teil etwas knapp sind. Das Bad ist klein und funktional, bietet dabei aber alles was man braucht. Die Küche ist sehr umfangreich ausgestattet - auch an schönem Geschirr - und wir konnten unsere Kochleidenschaft voll ausleben. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt, die Ruhe im Dorf genossen, die tollen Aussichten in die Landschaft, die wunderbaren Wandermöglichkeiten rundherum (im Haus gab es jede Menge Tipps und Wanderkarten), die Badeausflüge an den Fluss. Ein richtiges kleines Idyll! Für alle die Natur und südfranzösischen Charme suchen können wir es nur empfehlen.

Stilvolles Ambiente und viele Möglichkeiten in der Umgebung

Wir (Familie mit zwei fast erwachsenen Kindern) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und in zwei heißen Sommerwochen das Haus und die Gegend sehr genossen. Das Dorf ist sehr ruhig und wirkt abgelegener als es ist. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und erfüllt alle Vorstellungen eines südfranzösichen Dorfhauses. Alles Wichtige ist vorhanden (kein Fernseher und keine Spülmaschine - hat uns aber nicht gefehlt), insbesondere sehr viel deutsche und französische Literatur sowie auch viele Informationen zur Gegend. Die Bilder im Internet sind sehr treffend. Die Gegend ist super vielfätlig. Wir haben Ausflüge in die sehr schönen Flußschluchten, auf Märkte, zum Meer, nach Beziers, zu Konzerten (auch jugendgeeigneten) und zum Stausee gemacht. Es gibt viele kleine schöne Orte, man kann recht gut Fahrrad fahren und wir habe eine tolle Paddeltour auf der Orb gemacht. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto! Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert!

Great house in beautiful countryside

We stayed in this lovely house in August 2018. It is beautifully renovated and is located in a lovely little hamlet surrounded by stunning wooded hills. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We had a great time with our three children swimming in rivers, kayaking on the River Orb, cycling and walking in the hills. It is an easy drive of less than an hour to the sea and there are many interesting historical places to visit within the area. The owner was extremely helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending the house.

Französische Kultur und Natur hautnah erleben

Das Haus ist vollständig ausgestattet mit allem, was man im Urlaub brauchen könnte. Auch für eine größere Gruppe oder eine Familie mit mehreren Kindern gut geeignet, ohne dass es zu eng werden sollte. Das Dorf ist klein, aber sehr nett, auch für kleinere Wandertouren vom Haus aus geeignet. Viele unterschiedliche Ausflugsziele in der Nähe bzw. innerhalb von einer Stunde Autofahrt durch traumhafte Landschaften (z.B. Avene als Kurort, oder Dorfführung durch sehr altes Dorf).... viele Bademöglichkeiten in Seen und Gebirgsflüssen bzw. -bächen. > Im Sommer kann man im Nachbarort auf dem Markt saftige Pfirsiche direkt vom Bauern kaufen, auch ansonsten alles über Markt und lokale Läden besorgbar. Waren schon zwei Mal da und werden immer wieder gerne herkommen!!

Un vrai petit coin de paradis !

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette belle et vaste maison de campagne en printemps 2017. La restauration de la demeure est faite avec du goût et de l'amour, on se sent très bien là-bas. La tranquillité, la paix, le chant des oiseaux le petit matin, le bel entourage invite de faire une balade à la rivière, la mer n'est pas si loin non plus - c'est un vrai petit coin de paradis dans le Sud de la France. La vue sur la vallée est impressionante, les repas du midi en terrasse et les soirées devant la cheminées restent inoubliables ... A recommander vivement pour les amoureux de la nature !
