Hirschen Residence 2 is a smart newly built 3-bedroom holiday apartment, perfectly positioned for ski-in / ski-out and access to mountain hiking trails. Located in the family-friendly car-free village of Wengen with a ski slope right outside, the mountains and ski areas are truly on your doorstep! It's 450m to the village train station and the nearest supermarket. The cable car is just a 550m ski or walk away providing convenient access to the mountains and ski areas!
This ground-floor apartment sleeps up to 8 people, has 1 double bedroom with a queen-sized bed, 1 double bedroom with 2 twin beds which join together to form a king-sized bed, and 1 kid's bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds. All beds are European sizes. There are 2 newly fitted bathrooms, 1 with a bath, shower and WC, and 1 with a shower and WC.
This apartment's modern open-concept living/dining and kitchen area is the perfect gathering place, making it easy to cook, eat, entertain and relax all in one space! Watch the world go by on the west-facing garden terrace with a glass of wine and some fine Swiss cheeses while you soak in the views and relax after your day of hiking or skiing. When the children want their own space, there is a small kid's room where they can hang out and watch a DVD.
It's a great choice for a family or group of friends looking for a laid-back holiday that helps make the most of their time on the slopes or in the mountains.

What you should know...
Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required.
Please note that the 3rd bedroom has 2 bunk beds for up to 4 people, which are more suitable for children than adults.

Great appartment with mostly (there's a good hill as you can expect) easy walk to train station, grocery and town center. Apartment was spacious and extremely well equipped. Communication from Wengen appartment hosts was amazing, well structured guides and extremely prompt communication.

Very enjoyable extended family stay.
We were four adults and three small children7, 5 and 3. The chalet was large enough and insulated enough that there seemed to be plenty of room for everyone.
It was an easy walk down to town and was on the way to the great hike up to towards the Jungfrau.
Everything was very new, neat and clean.
Our VRBO's in the U.S. always have a daytwo's coffee available. That would have been nice as we got in pretty late.

Best location apartment in Wengen
Having tried a few different places around Wengen, we settled on this apartment and have been 3 or 4 times since. Lovely spot right on the piste, lovely ground floor terrace, and 5 mins ski/walk down to the village, station, and gondola.

Fantastic spacious Apartment.
The booking process through to the check out procedure was excellent. Very professional, helpful and accommodating. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. Ski in and ski out to the train station connection very easy.

Very modern, convenient, met out needs perfectly.
Our family group of four adults and three small children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. New, spotlessly clean, well-arranged and each room was very well sound-proofed from the others. Julie, the manager, was great to work with--start to finish. Very close to town.
One caveat: bring your own coffee for the first morning but after that, walk into town for the wonderful breakfast bakery goods at the COOP.
