SEA GLASS OCEANFRONT COTTAGE.

Sea Glass is a charming oceanfront beach cottage located at the end of a quiet cul de sac in South Nags Head . . . and the Atlantic Ocean is literally your backyard. The beach starts at the bottom of the stairs :-) Enjoy outside living on the large oceanfront covered porch with a tall table + 4 tall chairs, plus a picnic table. Grab a good book and a glass of wine and enjoy the salty air and shimmering ocean at sunset . . . my favorite time of day :-) Or perhaps a nap in the double sized hammock below is more your speed? Sea Glass cottage features a large open living area with bamboo flooring, lots of natural light, and lovely ocean views. The well equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, fridge with ice maker and filtered water on the door, and an island bar overlooking the adjoining dining and living rooms. Sea Glass accommodates 6 people (4 adults & 2 kids). There is an oceanfront queen, an oceanfront twin bunk room, and a king bedroom with it's own half bath. The shared full bath features a shower with tub should you need one for the kids . . . but trust me, you'll be taking all your showers in the large private, enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water.

Enjoy spectacular shelling, surf fishing, sun bathing, surfing, swimming, kayaking . . . and so much more. Or just stay put and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the sound of the ocean. Your family will remember the memories you make at Sea Glass for generations!

* Please note you must be at least 27 years old to rent this cottage.

* Cottage accommodates up to 4 adults and 2 children.

*Linens are not included, therefore you will need to bring sheets and pillow cases (1 king, 1 queen, and 2 single bunkbeds). All of the beds have quilts and pillows. You will also need to bring bath, hand, wash, dish and beach towels. HOWEVER, if you do not wish to bring your own there are several companies that rent linens and will deliver and pick them up directly to and from the cottage which we can refer you to.

* This is a NON-SMOKING cottage.

* Up to 2 pets are considered. Must be fully house trained. No puppies under a year. Please provide breed, sex and age when requesting to book.

Everything was smooth sailing from start to finish! Everything worked, and beach access was fantastic with 3 small children and a goldendoodle in tow. We’ve stayed here and the Kitty Hawk property 4 years ago, and both did not disappoint!!

This was our second year staying at Sea Glass cottage. It has become our favorite vacation house. We are a family of four so it is perfect for me, my husband, and our two daughters. We love its cozy feel, proximity to the beach, and quiet lane. Kim is super responsive and attentive to your family’s stay and needs. Highly recommend! We will return for year three in 2026!

SEA GLASS COTTAGE Great Vacation!

It was a great week for my husband and I, and what made it especially wonderful was taking our 15 yr old granddaughter along! The Sea Glass Cottage had everything we needed and it was right on the beach!! We had so much fun. Lots to do, great shopping places, amazing restaurants and the owners were local and continued to reach out to see if we needed anything. Loved it! Would stay again!

Beautiful house , right by the ocean. Very quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for us. We enjoyed the Wright Brothers monument but otherwise we just chilled in the house.

Great views, great location and a great experience staying at Sea Glass! Everything was clean and comfortable and welcoming! Our host responded immediately if we had any questions. The house was very clean and we had a nice welcome card and bottle of wine waiting in the fridge. The only thing I thought was misleading was the picture of the house and the caption that says “spectacular ocean views”. There is no clear view of the ocean from the house because of the dunes. Other than that we had a lovely stay.

The Perfect Beach Cottage

Super cozy and clean cabin just steps from the ocean. The perfect spot for exploring all of what the Outer Banks offers as it’s pretty much in the middle. We can’t wait to return.

Minimalist dream vaca

While this property is small in comparison to many of the surrounding houses but for our family it was exactly how we like it. It has everything you need, nothing more, nothing less. The owners check in regularly to ensure everything is going smoothly. The location is farther from the businesses so it is nice and quiet yet you have the beach right outside your door. Yes, the dune is tough to traverse but that’s not the owners fault. Would definitely book again!

We have lived on the Outer Banks for 20 years. My grandfather built a cottage on the outer banks in the 1950's and we have been coming here all our lives. We love it here and wanted to have a cottage for our family and friends to enjoy when it is not rented. We are in Real Estate and architectural design and loved bringing this cottage back to life when we bought it. We hope you will love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location! It has such incredible views and is literally steps from the ocean. And it is not so big that you have to bring 20 of your closest friends to afford it. A traditional, delightful oceanfront Nags Head cottage perfect for 2 couples and their kids.

What makes this property unique

We are a short bike ride from Bodie Island Lighthouse and the Outer Banks Fishing Pier, which features Fish Heads Bar & Grill (a local fav!). If you are a surfer we have 2 great breaks just north and south of us. Or enjoy hunting for sea glass and the perfect conch shell to take home as a souvenir. South Nags Head is away from the neon lights . . . but still close enough to all Outer Banks attractions, restaurants and shopping. The area is loved for being what the rest of Nags Head "used" to be like . . .
