The house was great, the area was great, and the host was great! Heather was very easy to deal with and super responsive - and she even delivered perfect for weather for us. Even the next door neighbors were lovely. We had a fantastic and very comfortable time visiting Boyne City. We loved being able to bring our little dogs - but there were absolutely no signs of any dogs being there before us (or after us) - which was outstanding! It was exactly as described and we were very happy with our trip.

Perfect place for our family trip! The house was larger than we expected and the location was close to everything we wanted to do. Nice short walk to the downtown shops too! Make sure to stop at the bakery and don't forget the ice cream for dessert!

Cute home in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute and inviting home right in Boyne City! My family and I came to town for our annual ski trip and could not have been more pleased. Not only were we close to the slopes, but we also were just down the street from downtown’s shops and restaurants. The home itself had plenty of room, was clean, and provided all the comforts of home. The ping pong table in the basement was a fun surprise! The wonderful property owner was quick to respond to communication. My family agreed that we would stay at this home again in a heartbeat!

The only 3 star review our property has ever received! Unfortunately this guest did not read the specifics of the house before renting. All bedrooms and amenities are exactly as listed. 3 window AC units included! Communications were difficult with this guest. Check-in instructions were sent one week ahead, as promised. Receipt was confirmed by guest, then days later he says he doesn’t them. All other reviews 4- 5 star!

Nice 4-BR home for summer stays

We visited in July. The house space was adequate for seven of us: three couples and a child. We used four rooms: a non-air-conditioned bedroom on the first floor (it tended to become too warm on some hot days), and three window-unit air-conditioned bedrooms on the second floor. We were lucky that we didn’t need to use the fifth, non-air-conditioned ‘kids room’ on the second floor (the one with many mattresses on the floor): it was too warm even on cool summer days and felt like a hot sauna on warm days (even with the exhaust roof fan and fresh air intake window fans turned on). Everything in the house worked. The house was clean and well cared for. Plenty of towels; beds were comfortable. We used the Weber gas grill and the outside fireplace. The two beach umbrellas from the shed were very handy as we forgot to bring our own. We were greeted by a gentleman from the next house who watches over this house in the absence of the owners. He graciously gave us the second key to the house, which simplified our party’s travel planning, allowing us to venture in separate cars to different destinations and return at different times. Small suggestions to the host, for the benefit of future guests: 1) fix the door lock in the first floor bathroom, and install door locks in all bedrooms; 2) offer more than one set of keys to the house. Overall, it was a nice stay. We’d come back. Thank you, Heather!

Great Stay in Boyne City – Wonderful Location & Fantastic Host!We really enjoyed our stay at this home! The location is fantastic—super walkable into town, which made grabbing food and exploring Boyne City very easy. The host was exceptionally responsive and easy to work with from start to finish, which made our trip go so smoothly. The house itself was extremely clean, with plenty of room to spread out in the kitchen, living room, and dining area. The yard, porch, and deck were definitely major highlights and gave us great spots to relax outside.A few minor things to note for future guests: the mattresses initially felt a bit uncomfortable, though we all managed to adjust after a couple of nights. The primary bedroom lighting was a bit on the dim side, and the lawn mowing service showed up fairly early at 7:30 AM one morning.Overall, the positives far outweighed these small details. Thanks to a great host and a prime location, we had a wonderful time and would gladly recommend this home!
