Communication was great from Robert. The location of the property is good with shops, bars and restaurants close by. Margate main beach is only a 10 min walk and there are various parks nearby.
We would stay here again.
We have used Wilderness Rooms on a previous visit in Margate and have been very satisfied with the stay at that time. And it was absolutely worth coming back again😀, thank you, Robert, for the time.
We came in order to visit the Turner Contemporary. The accommodation was ideal. 10 mins to everywhere we wanted to go.The property was exactly as advertised.Thank you so much!
Property was as described in listing. Host was friendly and helpful (good house and locality information, bottle of wine on arrival). Lots to to see and do in Kent.
We would stay again.
The property is as lovely as the photographs suggest, but these do not fully convey the size of the house - it's very spacious with beautiful high ceilings. We loved it. Robert was also excellent in his communications. Many thanks for a great week!
A getaway from London with daughter, husband & grandson while we (grandparents) we visiting from Australia. The house was inviting, with all incisions ti make our visit comfortable.
It was an easy 10 stroll down to the shire front which we did each day.
The decor was reflective of the artistic influences in the town; lovely.

A great stay for our 3 generations
We(Gran and Grandpa, Mum and Dad and grandchildren 7 and 4) have just returned from a week at this well appointed, spacious and well equipped house.
We found the kitchen diner spacious and well equipped with everything we all needed although an iron and ironing board would have been useful. The living room was comfortable with good wifi, tv, dvd, satellite box etc. All 3 bedrooms were sizeable and comfortable.
The car parking was good and we were able to visit Whitstable, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Sandwich, Walmer and Deal. Locally the Turner Contemporary Gallery, Dane Park and Viking adventure playground were all good for the grandchildren.
Thank you for an excellent week.

Thanks for your great feedback! We have now added an iron and ironing board at the house.
Brilliant property in an interesting building of historical interest. Lovely high ceilings. Property decorated throughout a real sense of design flair. Well equipped kitchen. Very comfy lounge. We had fun with the selection of CDs and the kids (11, 9 & 4) loved the DVDs and small play area. Perfect location for Margate’s main attractions and easy to get out to other places/attractions in the area. Wide range of local shops and trendy eateries. Private off street parking immediately outside. Robert was the perfect host. We would definitely return.
We all had an excellent time in Margate and this property is a real treat. Lots of space, very well appointed, an excellent host, lovely and clean and in an excellent location for all Thanet has to offer. Need I say more!?!? We are extremely keen to return.
Beautiful, spacious and very clean apartment in a quiet Victorian building. Perfect spot for our day trips to nearby beaches - unfortunately Margate main beach was too busy but Joss Bay and Broadstairs Viking Bay were great alternatives just 10/15 minutes drive.
Having a good and safe parking (Two spaces per apartment) literally three steps from the main door was a real bonus.
A spacious, yet cosy, home for a seaside adventure
The Wilderness Rooms was perfect for our family seaside holiday. Rob is a welcoming and attentive host. The property had everything we needed and the location was central to shops and the beach. There were some lovely touches such as local recommendations & information, interesting books and games, as well as cosy blankets for chillier days. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day!
Very pretty, spacious house, with lots of loving details. Quiet cul-sac with parking in front of the property. A good base to go on day trips. We would recommend this house to anyone wanting a holiday on the English coast. Beautiful beaches and good shopping possibilities nearby.
The only downside of our stay had nothing to do with the property, but the fact that Margate town center was very dirty ( dog droppings on the pavements everywhere) which schocked us a bit.

Lovely house in Cliftonville, Margate
A delightful house with allocated parking for two cars and within easy walking reach of Margate’s beaches and main attractions. The rooms have nice proportions with high ceilings - the lounge is a very sociable room and the kitchen can easily seat six around the table without encroaching on the cooking/preparation area. Usually we are sceptical about “over the bath” showers but the one in this house is excellent. We’ll definitely rent again at some point. Thank you Robert for being a helpful and very approachable owner.
