Quick visit

Excellent position and for visiting the Castle which is amazing. Good time of year to visit to avoid the crowds! Cottage was cosy and kitchen was well stocked with china, cutlery etc. However outside needs some TLC as do the curtains inside and it is a shame there isn’t a chest of drawers or chair in main bedroom. A note was left to say the dryer wasn’t working.

A fairytale cottage

The cottage is so lovely and looks exactly like the photos. Kitchen well equipped. Great bathrooms on both floors. Thank you for the coffee, tea and milk etc. We wish we could transport the cottage home with us!!

lovely property

The property is well maintained, clean and Cousy. A few points for improvement: * The extra bed is very uncomfortable. * There are not enough mugs / cups for hot drinks. * There was no laundry detergent.

Sudeley Castle cottages

The cottages are ideally located in Winchcombe for exploring the Cotswolds. Emma Dent cottage seemed slightly smaller than the images displayed on the website. The cottage was clean and well equipped but could do with a spruce up in places. The cottage was no better than some I've stayed in recently, but was the most expensive.

Great venue and location.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Cottages, and we love them! The location within the village and on the grounds of the Castle make it a memorable stay.

Sudely Castle wedding

Great location for the town and the castle. Really nice cottage sleeping our family. Only minor issues are a very loose tap in the bedroom and some general areas of paintwork that need attention.

Excellent Festival Accommodation

We are a group of 4 Racegoers who were staying at the Sudeley Cottages for the second time. The accommodation and location close to the Winchcombe facilities and travel to the Cheltenham Racecourse makes this a must for those attending Race Meetings. We have already booked accommodation for the 2027 event.

Beautiful!

A lovely, well equipped cottage. Perfectly placed for Sudley Castle. There are pubs and cafés within walking distance, would recommend the White Hart for a delicious evening meal!

Comfy cottage in a prime location

Our family of 4 enjoyed our recent 5-night stay at the Emma Dent cottage. The cottage is cozy and well-equipped with all the modern conveniences. Although there are other cottages on the premises, we found it to be quiet with enough privacy. We loved the location in Winchcombe, with easy access to Sudeley castle.

A comfortable, welcoming cottage.

The cottage is well organised and equipped. It is comfortable and has a welcoming atmosphere. A quick walk from the cottage takes you to Sudeley Castle and gardens. It was easy to access shops, go out for coffee and enjoy good food in Winchcombe. Plenty of opportunities for walking. All on the doorstep! We had a very pleasant stay and would consider staying there again.

A charming home away from home

Located in the pretty little town of Winchcombe, a few minutes from spectacular Sudeley Castle where you will get a free access if you stay at Emma Dent. The house is spacious, modern and well-equipped inside, surrounded with similar "Cotswold-type" houses (rent-out apartments) in a charming courtyard.

Long weekend in September

This property was beautiful, peaceful and very well equipped for our 4 adults for a comfortable stay Fri-Tues, mid September. It suited our two generations and we loved the short, 5 min slightly uphill, walk to the high street where we tried two good food pubs and a fabulous Indian restaurant. We recommend booking as restaurants were very busy every night! We did not have the best weather but had plenty to do within a short drive and Sudeley Castle had far more to do than we expected, a bonus to have that included within our stay. A great break thank you!

An excellant place to stay

The Emma Dent cottage is a wonderful optimization of space and comfort. The living room, dining area and kitchen are very spacious, and the upstairs bedrooms very comfortable. The bathrooms are well lit, very modern and the showers are, frankly, very appealing after a day of tramping. The location is superb, easy walking distance to all of Winchcombe. We couldn't have asked for a better place to anchor our wanderings between Broadway and Bourton. We will certainly reserve it again.

Great Stay in Winchcombe

A nice detached house with two bedrooms and separate bathrooms. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there is this efficient home . The kitchen is well equipped, dining table and chairs for our family of four. The Living room sits up to 6. It is located close to both Sudeley Castle and the town, an excellent location.

Great break

Cottage was very well equipped and furnished, a lot of thought had obviously gone into the interior design. The kitchen had all things necessary for simple or complex meal prep and having the cleaning kit was really helpful. Location was great, a short walk to the lovely village of Winchcome and also to Sudley castle. It was a lovely bonus to have free access to the castle which is definitely worth a visit. It was a great break and is definitely in my list to re-visit.

Perfect Stay for a Cotswolds Vacation

Our family recently stayed at the Emma Dent cottage. The cottage itself was exactly what we wanted and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked for all our cooking needs, bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Upon arriving we were greeted with a lovely note and some treats including lots of tea and coffee and some milk in the fridge. This was the perfect base to explore The Cotswolds. It's a short walk to the High Street with several options for food and beverage. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

The cottage was very comfortable and tastefully furnished.

Everything was good apart from the supply of mugs- there were only 5 for a property that says it is for up to 6 people- and likewise only 5 teacups- which is not sufficient. The only criticism.

Good location, needs minor work on property. WiFi very poor.

Nice location. However some issues: WiFi very poor to the extent we turned off the WiFi on our devices as they were overheating, constantly looking for the poor and very intermittent signal. I did report this to a lady at Sudeley Estates using the phone number on their welcome folder. I tried to call the number on the first day but got no response- I never left a message. I had success complaining the second day. The lady from Sudeley Cottages replied that “No one has complained before”. I have worked in customer service all my life and know that a golden rule is to accept a customers comment and not use negative responses to a customer. Also, the shower in the twin room has black mould around the beading and grouting. Needs a deep clean and or grouting refurbished. The curtains in the lounge either need replacing or rehanging. It took two attempts with two phone calls to replace a tap in the Master bedroom which was broken. We used the washer/dryer at the end on the stay only to find that the drying cycle does not work. Overall I would say that I was charged around £1500, whereas a true rent, bearing in mind the faults I encountered during the 7 nights there would be nearer £900.

Very enjoyable stay on the whole.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma Dent. The accommodation is excellent. We were disappointed about the building work and scaffolding right next door and the loss of a nice seating area as no one could describe sitting at the back as pleasant. Also we were woken early and overlooked in the back bedroom. It did not spoil our holiday, but I think we should have been alerted to the situation beforehand.

Beautiful cottage near Sudely Castle

We stayed as a family; grown up children and parents. We went to Giffords Circus who were performing at the castle. This beautiful cottage was the perfect location. The village is fabulous. We are vegan and there are plenty of vegan food offerings to choose from. It is easy to cook in the cottage too as the equipment provided was excellent. The rooms are both ensure and there is plenty of space both inside and outside to hang out in. Fabulous thank you.
