Brick wall old photographer patio house in Belem

The house is located in a traditional private Lisbon courtyard (shared with three other houses). Guests have at their disposal a kitchen equipped with a fridge, gas hob, microwave and some food ingredients such as rice, pasta, olive oil, bread, milk, cereals, etc.

The comfortable 150x200cm double bed has a new mattress, and a new sofa is also available.

The house is served by the public transport network of Lisbon, namely buses, trams and trains. The Belém train station is located at 900 meters, taking the journey to Cais do Sodré, in the center of Lisbon, about 7 minutes. The beautiful beaches of the Cascais line are also just a short train ride away, taking a 14-minute journey to Santo Amaro de Oeiras beach.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire studio and its various features, as well as the private patio (shared with three other houses). We provide bed linen, bath towels, shampoo and shower gel.

Interaction with guests

Guests will be received in person, with the possibility of transportation from the airport or train station. The hosts will be 100% available to help make your stay in Lisbon the best experience possible.

Wonderful place

We loved the little house and the little court in front and we loved the part of the town for not being so touristic. A nice quiet place for a holiday in Lissabon, well equipped and very clean.

Nice quiet property

Property is nice, as advertised. We really liked how it is in a quiet area/neighborhood. Lots of restaurants/stores within the area. Host is nice, helpful and very++ responsive to our messages. The only thing is, the hot water is kind of hard to control and it ran out on our last day, but good thing is that, the host was very responsive and prompt to fix it.

Nice small studio near Belem about 1/2 bus ride into Lisbon. Miguel was very responsive when the power went out due to guests next door overloading the circuit. Good value for the price. Obrigado!

Quaintly fabulous

Every thing was easy from communicating with the owner (very polite and accommodating) to getting into the property. All very clean with a comfy bed. Do read the instructions so you know how to light the water heater! The privacy of the location is wonderful. It’s a quiet, older part of town but so much to see that’s in walking distance including restaurants full of locals and the more touristy places down the hill.

Please post the number address outside gate & inform the guests of the Exact NUMBERS FOR THE ADDRESS-soooo confusing!!!!!! Took over an hour to find the building.The kitchen sink needs some attention. Basic amenities-such as toilet paper & coffee for the next day would be greatly appreciated! But overall this stay was GOOD!!!

It is a ploy to get your money, then they claim to "guard" themselves with cancellation fees and hide behind the company in order to keep your money. A lawsuit has been opened and against them both with the FTC and is already in motion for false advertisement and Bait and Switch tactics. AVOID!!!

Good location, shabby, unsuitable for winter

Solid concrete building in a quiet area. No personal contact with owner - took 4 adults 15 minutes to open the lockbox to get the key.No heating or cooling system, the single portable heater was entirely incapable of dealing with the 12-16C weather during our 6 days in late January. It was very uncomfortable. Owner unable to provide more heaters.Kitchen and bathroom had many issues - only 1/2 the cooktop burners worked, sink tap unattached, flush toilet had a string, not a handle! Many cosmetic issues in both rooms. Ants. Water on the refrigerator (condensation, leak?) Retro bialetti-type coffee purculator - thank you Youtube for tips!Good shower and hot water pressure. Excellent Wifi.

The apartment sits in a genuinely beautiful and historic neighbourhood, and the charm of the surroundings is hard to fault. The house follows a traditional courtyard layout, which we actually enjoyed and felt added real character to the stay.That said, there are some significant issues that need addressing. Old courtyard buildings like this tend to come with unwanted guests, and we did encounter a large cockroach as well as ants throughout the house, meaning no food could be left out on the counters or unsealed. The smell in the bathrooms was also quite unpleasant, likely due to the older sewer system that comes with a house of this age.Beyond the pest and plumbing issues, the property is in need of a proper refurbishment. The quirky character is there but it needs updating to meet a reasonable modern standard. There is no microwave, and the fridge is quite old with seals and fittings that are no longer working properly.It is a shame because the location is outstanding. The presidential palace, Jerónimos Monastery, several museums and the charming streets of Calçada da Ajuda are all within easy reach. With a proper renovation and attention to maintenance, this place could be genuinely special. Right now, it falls short of what guests should reasonably expect.

Absence des propriétaire sur place provoquant des manques d'informations (ex: pas de numéro du logement) et pour nous une sérieuse mise en conformité du logement à faire afin de pouvoir recevoir des visiteurs (moisissure, humidité ambiante et proche des prises coupures d'électricité, tuyau de gaz périmé janvier 2009) Dangerosité! Nice little apartment in a quiet neighborhood

Despite the quietness of the neighborhood, there are lots of shops (mini mercados) and restaurants nearby. Belem is in walking distance (don't miss the Mosteiro Jeronimos!) and the city center just a quick ride with the Bus or Tram away (preferably with the old Eletrico line 18E). The apartment itself has everything you need. Very good communication with the owners. Quick reaction when little problems occured (for example empty gas bottle for stove/hot water).

Very pleasant place to stay, no problems.Given the keys on the Saturday when I arrived and had no problems. Loved the size and layout of the rooms, kitchen was well equiped with gas stove, fridge/freezer and utensils supplied. Good WiFi connection with no problems during my two week stay. ]Had a TV but do not watch while on holiday. Double bed with clean linen and delivered fresh lined when asked. Basically left to my own devices for two weeks with minimal contact with owners, which I liked. Was given directions to supermat=rket and some local attractions when I arrived from Vanessa who had good local knowledge. Excellent all round, can hardly fault the rooms and faciolities. About 15-20 mins from center of Lisbon by Tram/bus (including walk down to tram/bus stop).
