Spacious Country Home - Great for Large Gatherings- 1 hr South of Yellowstone

Large country home and property that is ideal for a family reunion or large family gathering for a wedding or graduations. Nine bedrooms (includes a "Cousin's Room" with 6 bunk beds) provides sleeping accommodations for 40 people. Room details are under Rooms & beds section. Places for camping and three full RV hookups (One 50-amp and two 30-amp).

Large great room with pool table. Country pond on property where kids enjoy cooling off on a hot summer day.
Shaved ice machine (guests provide cubed ice, sugar and cups) with most popular SnoShack flavors: Tiger's Blood, Blue Raspberry, Mango, and Pina Colada. (syrup recipe is at the end of Amenities).

Dining area for 40 opens up to join adjacent picnic area for a combined seating of 80. Commercial refrigerator in addition to refrigerator/freezer in kitchen provides plenty of room to store the food for your large group. Cooking for a large group in the summer is stream-lined with a five-foot griddle, a charcoal grill that can turn 60+ pieces of meat at once, a dutch oven pit, a gas BBQ grill, and a large stainless steel prep area adjacent to outdoor cooking pavilion. The indoor kitchen has two ovens, large Jenn-air island with built-in griddle. Property is served by a private well (no need to bring bottled water). Ice machine and water dispenser in large dining area.

Plenty of local free or inexpensive activities to keep the reunion fun and busy. St. Anthony Sand Dunes only 15 minutes away. 15 minutes from Bear World. Approximately 1 hour to Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole/Grand Teton National Park. Thirty minutes to Ashton or Ririe Reservoirs for boating/fishing. Minutes to Teton River and Henry's Fork for fishing. 15 minutes into Rexburg and BYU Idaho. 30 minutes to Idaho Falls.

Great spot for large family reunion!

We loved the space here for our large family (50) reunion. It had lots of fun things to do inside and outside of the home. We enjoyed the large eating area as a place to gather for meals and activities. The two bunk rooms do connect with no door in between so that room didn’t work well as a separate room but all the other rooms had privacy. It will definitely be a place we would choose to book again cause it was such a fun place for our big family.

The house was beautiful and big enough for my family reunion. Each family got their own room, RV spot, or camped out on the lawn. The AC kept us cool and their ice machine kept us hydrated. Everyone loved the pool table and pickle ball. The pond was fun in the heat of afternoon. And plenty of fun things to do close by. The hosts were absolutely fantastic. They were quick with communication and easy to work with. Definitely giving this experience 5 stars. The only downside (which wasn’t a big deal) was the beds. A few mattresses were new style, but most were old style. A little bouncy. My guess is that they are slowly upgrading them.

Perfect family getaway

This was the perfect place for our family to gather. There are so many amenities to enjoy. We loved our time here. The kids loved the playground, trampoline, giant swing set, pond and sports court. The huge dining room and outdoor patio gives plenty of seating for mealtimes. The property is beautiful and peaceful.

The “CopperTop” was the perfect location for our family reunion. It’s just a few miles from our home, and as my wife and I were hosting this year, the convenient location was such a plus!The house itself easily contained our group of just over 30. The dining area is huge, and being adjacent to the kitchen and the outdoor cooking area made meals so easy. We also held a dance there and it was perfect for line dancing and all the other crazy dance styles our grandkids embraced!There were bathrooms everywhere, which is a real plus, and everyone had their own beds, with room to spare.Our hosts (owners), Craig and Virginia, were so responsive to every need and question we had. When they learned ahead of time that we have a handicapped daughter in a wheelchair, they purchased a futon bed so she could stay on the main floor, with easy access to dining and other activities. They have done so much to make this place fun for everyone! From the swimming hole to the outdoor courts (basketball, tennis, pickleball, etc.), to the trampoline for the younger kids, there was always something to do for everyone! I saw Virginia yesterday when I picked up some items left by family and told her the next time it’s our turn to host our reunion, CopperTop is at the top of our list!

Great family reunion

The place was big enough for our group of about 25. We had all ages and there was plenty for everyone to do. There are lots of surrounding attractions as well like the Saint Anthony Sandune‘s.

Tons of fun

We had 20 teenagers there and they loved the property. The house was on the older side of things but very comfortable and not scared to walk in the house. The hosts did everything right. Great amenities from kitchen, pool table to court and outdoor cooking. We would stay there again no issues.

We were fortunate to acquire this property on 20 acres when our five boys were young. They learned how to work by moving pipe in the field and had lots of fun roaming the river bottoms and jumping their bikes into the pond. When they grew up and flew the nest we decided to convert our home into a family reunion center so others could benefit from the ability of the property to accommodate large gatherings - and there will always be room for the boys and their growing families to come and visit!
