We went fishing out of Wanchese marina with Back n Black. We were 10 minutes to boat. Nice bar Restaurant a 5 min walk from townhome. Clean and comfortable stay.
Great location for the wedding. 20 yards from the venue. Easy access and very clean! We enjoyed the stay thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
Great (and quiet) location. Beautiful location. Our son loved being able to fish every day! Very clean and comfortable. Just wish the rooms had room darkening curtains. The boardwalk is lit all night long - and so the bedrooms have quite a bit of light come in.
But overall a great place. We would stay there again!
My husband and I booked this trip to celebrate our marriage with our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family and this house couldn’t have been more perfect for our group. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and we loved the view of the sound and how close the house was to more parking spots since most of our guests were driving from different cities. We also were in the perfect spot to drive to multiple beach access points and downtown Manteo. Couldn’t give a better review 😊
Location was exceptional since it is a very short drive over bridge to many public beach access points. Super convenient to arrive back and be able to walk over to the pool area. the restaurant that you can walk to has amazing food and a bar. For our family (4 adults and 6 children under 11) it was perfect!
We were in town for a bachelorette trip and the house was perfect for it! Very clean and spacious. We wished there were more pots/pans, but everything else was great! The hottub was such a good plus, as well. Recommend this place to anyone!
Meh... With about $3k most of this stuff could be fixed.
The stay wasn't necessarily bad... We just had a couple issues.
1. We arrived around 2145. The instructions said to get our key from the security guard at the gate. There was no security guard that we could find. Luckily I eventually walked up to the property management office. Turns out theres a little unsecured drop box they leave them in. There was a packet with our name on it w/ keys. Anyone could have walked up and taken it.
2. Dead roach in master bath upon arrival.
3. Fixtures in all bathrooms are in dire need of an update.
4. The two places to hang your towel in the master kept falling off the wall.
5. In the master bathroom shower, its one of those situations where the shower curtain isn't happy unless it is blown in and stuck to your wet naked body. Very difficult to shower.
6. The master bedroom has a double door entrance. There is a clear crack you can see through if you're at the door. For guests in a relationship who desire privacy, this is an issue. Easily could be fixed with a small strip of wood.
7. Everyone can hear everything everyone else is doing in the house.
8. There is an event center 2 houses down and access the street. There was an event there on Saturday night with loud music past 2330... All music could be heard in the house.
9. The couches down stairs are undesirable. They also kept arm rest covers on them that kept falling off...
10. A lot of the dishes were dirty in the cabinets.
11. The dining room table chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. We are not obese and the wood digs into the sides of your hindquarters while sitting.
12. Some of the management companies "rules" are silly. Example: They say you have to keep the AC/Heat set between 72 and 78... LOL... Dude... We paid you good money to stay there and you're getting nit-picky about the electric bill... Ridiculous.
We did not have a bad time. We had fun and we are pretty chill. That's why this review is a 3 star instead of 1 star. I just want people to understand what they're getting.
We definitely liked the decorations, it was non-personalized. The dock access was nice for fishing. The location, in regards to the proximity to everything was nice. We just had some observations to post.
We had a wonderful time visiting OBX for the first time and loved Pirates Cove!! Our location was accessible to everything. We enjoyed long walks on the dock, the pool and other resort amenities. The house we chose was perfect for our family. We were happily surprised to see the kitchen was remodeled and the flooring upgraded throughout the house. The location was great and the area was peaceful.
Six guys accommodations worked out great. Location was great. Too bad you can't control the sharks from eating our fish because than everything would be perfect.
