Huge true Beachfront condo, gated resort- full resort activities , 2 balconies

This is a beautiful contemporary large 2 BR beachfront condo in the best location in Playa del Carmen, Playacar Phase 1. Why is this location great? Because it's just South of the ferry dock, gated, SUPER SAFE with 24-7 security on site and in the gated community, quiet with huge clean (very little seaweed or rocks) beaches and is where all the exclusive million dollar homes are located! This unit has two balconies, a newer kitchen, laundry room and beautiful views.

I own TWO 2 BR condos in Fisherman's Village. This is the BEST location in Playa....gated community, BEST BEACHES, quiet, no loud jet skis or crazy club music, no rocks, and yet just a 12 minute walk to 5th Ave and the Ferry dock!

If the idea of a small (55 units) beachfront resort, a short stroll (12 min) on the beach into town to try a new restaurant and having a private driver greet you at Cancun airport with an icy cold beer waiting for you appeals to you (rather than a large all-inclusive resort with lots of buffet lines) than look no further, you can stop your search! My beachfront condo offers ALL of this and more:

1) 24 hour security in gated community and on the resort grounds with 2-3 times the size of beachfront as other resorts and it's BOUTIQUE, just 55 units total!!!
2) Pool bar/swim up bar and grill (you can also BYO but no glass containers)
3) Free use of kayaks, Hobie Cats, bikes, yoga classes and volleyball, etc. See Lifeguard for arranging these activities. ** Also, please let me know if "bikes" are a huge interest to you as better quality bikes are available nearby.
4) Fitness center & Spa for massage and facials
5) Infinity Pool, children's pool and warm Jacuzzi & hot jacuzzi near Spa
6) WiFi available in condo, throughout the resort & pool and beach- free of charge
7) Thermostat controlled AC & ceiling fans throughout the condo?
8) Fisherman's Village is a QUIET resort in a quiet gated community! Sure you can opt to stay 'downtown' in a newer condo or all inclusive, but don't forget to pack your ears plugs....you'll be hearing loud music, rowdy drunks, and party-goers till the wee hours of the morning.
9) On-site parking free for guests (no rental car? No problem...cabs are only $6-$10 to town)
10) Either A la Carte drinks and meals at 2 restaurants on site or an optional all inclusive plan for 3 meals, snacks and unlimited drinks per day for $98/ pp per day including unlimited alcoholic drinks
11) Our gated community does not allow "vendors" on the beach at all, so you can relax knowing you won't be hassled to buy blankets, massages, jewelry, jet skiing, etc like you will get on the beaches "in town".

Fisherman's Village in the private gated community of Playacar, right next to the town of Playa del Carmen. It's perfect for two couples with a king in master, two queens in the 2nd bedroom and an a sleeper sofa

Fisherman's Village is a family-friendly beachfront condominium complex with just 55 units in the quiet coastal community of Playacar just a 12 minute walk to Playa del Carmen. Fisherman's Village is known to be the nicest quality resort/condo complex in the entire Yucatan Peninsula for it's fine service, and resort-like amenities such as a full service restaurant, swim-up pool bar, full sized pool and a children's pool, water sports, jacuzzis for the complex, air conditioned gym, Spa services such as massage and facials.

This unit has travertine flooring, slab marble counter-tops, central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. Don't just take my word for it, read my past guest reviews below!

There is one flight of stairs to get inside the unit but the bellman can help get your luggage and groceries into the unit.

One NEW feature of Fisherman's Village is an optional Meal Plan. This is your option which can be decided after you arrive at the complex and used one day, but not the next if you choose. This includes three meals and unlimited drinks including cocktails all day & night! It was $98/pp per day last time I checked.

Free for all guest's use at Fisherman's Village are the bicycles, kayaks, beach volleyball, yoga classes, cooking demonstrations, etc. ! It's a fabulous place for adults and kids alike.

Playa Del Carmen is located just 50 minutes South of Cancun and offers the same powdery white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping-- without crowds of wild Spring Break partiers and towering hotels.

Fisherman's Village is just a 12 minute walk along quiet cobblestone roads or the beach to the town of Playa del Carmen. Also within a short walk is the 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, the local aviary, and the ferry that takes you over to Cozumel. Most guests do not rent a car during their stay except days they wish to explore other areas of the Yucatan. If you plan on lounging on the beach, shopping and eating out in Playa del Carmen, maybe taking the ferry to Cozumel one day-- you may not want a car the entire time. We can recommend reliable airport transportation to and from Cancun International to Fisherman's Village.

We had a lovely stay in Paula’s condo. We’re already looking at booking again for next year. The unit was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed to cook some meals for ourselves. We also ate at the restaurant on site a few times. All of the staff was lovely. And Gabe was very helpful. The resort itself was quiet (perfect for us). The majority of the vacationers were aged 60 which created a friendly, relaxed environment. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend this resort for young people who are looking to party. We really took advantage of the 2 balconies on the unit. We spent most of our time there. We walked to Playa almost every day because it’s super close. We also walked around the general area which sees very little foot or vehicle traffic compared to Xaman Ha road where the large resorts are. Playacar is lovely.

Lovely hotel staff especially kind to our children, and Gabriel the local property manager is a delight to communicate with. The condo is lovely and the perfect setting for a beach vacation. We walked on the beach every morning watching a beautiful sunrise, had breakfast on the balcony and swam in the ocean or pool in the afternoon. We explored the Mayan ruins across the street and on our way into town. We walked into town for dinner and some shopping on 5th Avenue. Gabe was very responsive when we had minor issues. And best of all Gabe was our tour guide when we went snorkeling in Akumal with the turtles then Yalku. Another time he took us to the Jardín de Eden cenote then to the glass factory. We had a wonderful time! Thank you Gabe!

We loved the condo & resort! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant & snack bar was very good. We also enjoyed the swim up bar. The resort had different activities during the week, which were a lot of fun. My daughters got a massage and they really enjoyed that! The condo was big, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I liked that the 2nd bedroom had 2 queen beds and there was a second sink in the main bedroom. If someone was taking a shower I could still get ready. I really liked how the host, Pamela, had taken the time to write some check-in instructions but also had other helpful info in there. It really helped us choose where to eat. We really enjoyed our stay there and we would definitely come back again!

Small, lovely resort where everyone knows you after the first 2 days. Fun, varied activities and not too much seaweed. Food at the snack shack is good; dinner so-so but menu changes nightly. Note: Location of the resort is fairly deep into Playacar, so ask about the bikes or be ready to walk a lot into town (totally with it!).

Perfect Spring break paradise

Our week in the condo was just what our family of 5 needed. Plenty of sun, day trips and time to just relax by the pool. We had a rental car which made it easy to get around and we drove nightly to enjoy dinner or just walk around on 5th avenue. Parking was easy and only 15 pesos an hour in a lot near 38th street and 10th ave. The complex is well run,clean and we had everything we needed In our unit. Beds were comfortable and laundry was perfect for small loads. Both the owner and property manager are easy to communicate with and responsive. If you are looking for a comfortable and safe rental close enough toThe action but far enough you don’t need to hear it all night long you will like fisherman’s village. Also a plus that there are Mayan ruins right in front of the complex which was very cool. Beach is nice white sand and water was beautiful.

This property is a hidden gem! The condo was comfortable for our family of five with breathtaking views. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and Pamela is very responsive. It is walkable to many restaurants and shops in Playa del Carmen. The beach is nice and quiet! We are looking forward to returning the next time we are in Mexico.

My family had a fantastic relaxing beach vacation. The condo was great and as advertised. Pamela was quick to respond to our needs and questions . Such an amazing place! Quiet, secure property with pools, a beach, restaurants and walking distance from the local rstaurants and shopping. 10min walk to the ferry to Cozamel as well. Worth to visit if younare with family or friends. Beautiful condo with well enough room. With a kitchen, living, and balconies. The owner is extremely helpful to ensure your stay is great. I grew up in Southern California but moved to Boulder, CO in 1994. I felt land-locked so bought two beautiful beachfront condos in Playa del Carmen to get my beach-fix. Playa del Carmen is my "Happy Place" and I hope you'll fall in love with it as I did!

Why they chose this property

I love the gated community and the location of our beachfront complex. There are just 55 units so it's very SAFE & quiet yet close to the action when you want it. 5th Avenue and the town of Playa del Carmen are just a 10-15 minute walk away. What is not to love about this paradise?

What makes this property unique

Again, we have a small boutique resort with the same amount of beachfront as the nearby resorts with 300-500 hotel rooms so you can spread out in the condo AND at the resort. The condo has a full kitchen and space to relax plus you have a nice lobby and many of the amenities of a large resort with more freedom to learn about Mexico and the Yucatan. I've found that all inclusive resorts are great for newcomers to the area that want to eat all of their meals at the same property...and lots of drinking.
