Porto Carreiro House

Just returned from a two week break at Porto Carreiro House. If your are looking for a base to tour northern and central Portugal this definitely fits the bill. A car is essential as the property sits within a residential area. Nuno was excellent with answering any queries both pre and during our holiday.

Local sossegado e com muita privacidade, bem como arredores calmos e com muito verde. A casa encontra-se bem cuidada e equipada com o necessário para desfrutar de uns dias relaxantes. Vale de Cambra está localizado a apenas cerca de 3 km, onde se encontram todo o tipo de comércio necessário para suporte à estadia. Aproveitamos para irmos aos Passadiços do Paiva e ainda uma visita ao museu dos Trilobites, em Arouca. Foram 5 dias muito bem passados! Muito obrigado Nuno, por toda a atenção e simpatia!

Best place tot stay near Porto

A few days getaway at the house of nuno was relaxing. Absolute privacy and a very thoughtfull host! The place is spotless and well equipped. Porto and the Douro valley are just a stonethrow away! Nuno, Obrigado to you and your mother!

Great stay

Property was very comfortable. Location was beautiful. Ideally located for our day trips. Nuno was very attentive and generous in our dealings. Will look forward to a return trip.

Perfect getaway

This was perfect for us. The house was well catered and has everything you need, tea, coffee, milk etc. We had a big dog with us and he loved the space of the garden. Nuno was great as a host and very understanding even when our clumsy dog broke a pot. With a car you can explore the coast which is around 30 mins or Porto also just over 30 mins.

Parfait ! Au calme !

Jolie petite maison entièrement restaurée avec une belle terrasse, un jardin parfaitement clôturé et agrémenté. Située en campagne, l'utilisation de la voiture est indispensable mais les magasins sont à quelques kilomètres (5 km en moyenne). Porto n'est qu'à 35-40 mn. Le propriétaire est à l'écoute. Nous recommandons cette location et cette destination pour les amateurs de tranquillité, de ballades en forêt ou un peu plus loin sur la côte atlantique.

A wonderfully relaxing place to stay

Amazing views sat out in the back garden. Peace and quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked with cutlery and china, saucepans, etc. The bedrooms were lovely and cool and we only use the air-con once. Nuno was a great host and we were enjoying his WhatsApp communications and suggestions on where we could visit. Would highly recommend a trip to Porto and Tomar. We hope to go back because we loved Portugal (this was our first visit) and Nuno's villa was very well located to go both north and south. Great holiday, great place to stay.
