Villa Ifigenia is a two-level stone building which has been recently constructed. The building is unique because the traditional elements are combined with a modern touch so that the visitors will feel comfortable during their stay. The villa is located in a quiet and isolated area, just 7km away from the lively city of Rethymno. It is well laid out in 80sq metres with an open plan kitchen, dining area and a living room downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. The swimming pool is also for private use.

Villa Ifigenia is only 15 minutes drive from the centre of the city and 15 minutes drive from the nearest beach. The villa can accommodate up to 4 people.

Wonderful hosts, very quiet location

We stayed at villa Ifigenia during the first 2 weeks of October 2023. The location is situated in the hills above Prines which is 5mins drive away and about 20mins from Old Town Rethymno - you will need a car. The villa was very clean and contained everything you required. The towels and bedding were changed on a regular basis. We made great use of the outside space - very quiet, not overlooked, sun all day with an excellent pool. Stella and the whole family were wonderful, very welcoming and very thoughtful - perfect hosts. A very big thankyou to everyone we met which made our stay in Crete even more memorable.

We have had a wonderful stay in Prines. The welcoming committee was very kind and helpful, including a home made Mousaka and stuffed vegetables, which tasted great ;-) The house was excellent, situated on a mountain, far away from the crowds. Very nicely decorated, all new stuff. The garden was marvellous too, the pool had a great view over a olive tree-yard and in the horizon you could see the ocean. Rhetimno was 15 minutes with the car, and the nearby (5 mins drive) village had some nice tavernas and a supermarket. We advice to rent a car since the house is secluded, which we like a lot.

Simplement PARFAIT !

Toute la famille a eu un véritable coup de cœur pour cette villa. Nous sommes arrivés dans la nuit, et avons eu la chance de découvrir ce cadre de rêve lendemain au réveil: Une vue à couper le souffle sur la mer, un jardin immense et aucun vis à vis car le premier voisin se trouve loin de la propriété. Une piscine entretenue régulièrement et des chambres climatisées. Et cerise sur le gâteau: plein de cadeaux à notre arrivée puis pendant le séjour par les propriétaires qui sont d'une très grande générosité et qui nous ont donné des conseils précieux sur les commodités et restaurants. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés mais n'oubliez pas de les ouvrir en arrivant, car c'est encore mieux que sur les photos ! Merci Stella et merci à ta famille pour cet accueil chaleureux. Nous reviendrons c'est sur.

Das Haus ist sehr schön in einen Olivenhain eingebettet. Die Aussicht über die Küste ist atemberaubend. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden mit einer frischen und noch warmen Mousaka empfangen. Im Haus gibt es alles was man benötigt. Die Ruhe in der Umgebung war sehr erholsam.

Wunderschöne Villa in toller Lage!

Wir waren rundum begeistert! Die Villa und der Garten sind toll, sehr sauber, sehr gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Etwas abseits, in sehr schöner Natur und schön ruhig; der nächste Ort mit Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen und mit dem Auto ist man in unter 15 Min an der Küste. Am meisten beeindruckt hat uns die Betreuung durch die Vermieterfamilie, die das Haus und den Pool während unseres Aufenthalts mehrmals gereinigt, uns tolle Ausflugstipps gegeben und uns immer wieder mit Essen und Trinken überrascht hat, immer erreichbar war und einfach unglaublich hilfsbereit und liebevoll ist! Dort kann man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen und sehr gut erholen!

C'était un super séjour dans une villa magnifique avec la vue sur la montagne et la mer. La Villa était très propre et l'accueil était très chaleureux. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la moussaka et les petits gâteaux crétois fait maison que nous avons eu. Nous avons été très surpris par l'hospitalité des Crétois qui était très amicale. Sauber und gepflegt. Liebevoll eingerichtet. In ruhiger Lage aber trotzdem mit der Nähe zum Strand und zur Stadt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben die Gastfreundschaft der Gastgeber sehr genossen. Die Küchenausstattung ist auf das Nötigste beschränkt, dafür gibt es ein paar tolle Tavernen direkt in Prines. Wir kommen im nächsten Jahr gerne wieder!

Komfortables Haus, wunderschöne Lage, herzliche Vermieter

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Villa Ifigenia. Das Haus ist komfortabel und geschmachvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage inmitten von Olivenbäumen mit weitem Blick auf Berge und Meer - Sonnenuntergang inklusive - einfach traumhaft. Der Pool wurde täglich gerinigt; das Haus mehrmals wöchentlich geputzt und die Wäsche gewechselt. Was den Urlaub aber besonders hervorgehoben hat, war die überwältigende Gastfreundschaft von Stella, Mary, George und ihrer Mutter. Wir wurden immer wieder mit selbstgemachter Moussaka, Kuchen und Raki verwöhnt. Nochmal ein herzliches "efcharisto" an die ganze Familie!

Hätten es kaum besser treffen können!

Alles super! Wir waren diesen Juni zwei Wochen dort und wären am liebsten einfach geblieben. Die Villa mit Pool ist ganz neu, super sauber und sehr schön und vor allem liebevoll eingerichtet. Jeden morgen kam jemand von den Vermietern um den Pool zu reinigen. Zwei mal die Woche wurden die Villa von der ganzen Familie von oben bis unten gereinigt und die Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden gewechselt. Besonders in Erinnerung wird uns die Vermieter-Familie bleiben. Super einfache und liebevolle Kommunikation (deutsch und englisch), total gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit, sie haben wirklich alles versucht und getan um uns unseren Urlaub erholsam und unvergesslich zu gestalten...und das haben Sie wirklich geschafft...:) Vielen Dank für alles!

Wunderschöne, saubere und gepflegte Villa

Bestes Ferienhaus, das wir je gemietet haben. Es ist noch sehr neu, aber wenn es weiterhin so liebevoll gepflegt und gehegt wird, kann nichts schiefgehen! Ideale Größe für 3 - 4 Personen, funktionierende Klimaanlage, intakte Insektengitter an den Fenstern, gute Küchenausstattung, perfekter Pool, erhabener Blick über Berge und Meer, super Service (zur Begrüßung gab es hausgemachtes Moussaka, frisches Obst, eine Grundausstattung an Frühstückszutaten sowie Gewürze, Olivenöl, Raki... zwischendurch kleine Aufmerksamkeiten wie gefülltes Gemüse... köstlich!) Tägliche, äußerst diskrete Reinigung von Pool und Garten und sogar 1 x die Woche Bettwäsche- und Handtuchwechsel. Schöner, gemauerter Grill. Fenster in den Schlafräumen mit Rollläden zur absoluten Verdunkelung (wenn gewünscht). Dorf mit 3 Tavernen und Mini-Markt sowie einem guten Fleischer (der auch Käse verkauft) ist fußläufig im Rahmen eines kleinen Spaziergangs zu erreichen. Nicht zuletzt: die sehr sympathische Familie Sofoulakis! Danke!

Wir haben hier einen traumhaften Urlaub verbracht. Das Haus liegt ein paar Autominuten vom kleinen Ort Prines entfernt, vollkommen ruhig gelegen. Das Haus ist sehr neu und geschmackvoll mit allem was man braucht eingerichtet. Der Pool ließ sich im Mai schon schön nutzen und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Familie Safoulaki kümmert sich rührend um alles und steht bei Fragen jederzeit zur Verfügung. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen

Toller, entspannter Urlaub inmitten von Olivenhainen

Wir, zwei Erwachsene und ein Kind (4) hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Die Kommunikation stimmte von Anfang an. Von der Wegbeschreibung im Vorfeld bis hin zum Abschied. Echte Gastfreundschaft gepaart mit herzlichem familiären Service, angemessener Diskretion und dem eigenen hohen Qualitätsanspruch gehen miteinander einher. Es wird einem leicht gemacht, die Dinge des Alltags loszulassen und inmitten von Olivenhainen und Vogelgezwitscher und darüber hinaus einem großartigem Ausblick die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Ein Auto wird empfohlen. Alltägliche Dinge sind in kurzen Wegen zu erreichen . Jederzeit würden wir gerne den Urlaub wiederholen und bedanken uns für die ausnahmslos schöne Zeit.

Beautiful villa in an idyllic quiet location

Beautiful property set in an olive grove with views of both the mountains and the sea. The villa is about a mile from Prines and a mile and a half from Atsipopoulo where there is a good supermarket, a bakery and a few tavernas. 5 minutes in the car or 20 minutes on foot. Rehymnon and the beach 15 minutes by car. The villa itself has a good size pool and is very well appointed inside. The owners, the Sofoulakis family, are most welcoming and do everything they can to make for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Paradise in Prines

We have been renting villas in Crete for many years,but Villa Ifigenia surpassed all our expectations.First of all we were it's first guests,,so everything was brand new,but even so it was just right.First of all we were welcomed with a refrigerator full of goodies,fruit,vegetables, eggs,beer,a warm cake,and a beautiful plate of fresh fish.All the facilities in and out of the villa are first class,and the hospitality of the owners is outstanding.The pool and all the grounds are cleaned every day.There are many excellent tavernas in the local village of Prines, and the beaches and attractions of Rethymno are only a short drive away.
