We absolutely loved our stay in Treburrick. The cottage is spacious, super clean and incredibly comfortable (the beds especially deserve our collective 10/10 rating!), with stylish furniture and accessories. We really appreciated the warm welcome from James who met us on arrival for a tour of the property and answered any questions we had. This is an excellent holiday home in a beautiful part of Cornwall with great beaches close by, a peaceful neighbourhood and a great host. We travelled as a multi-generational family with grandparents and 10/13 year olds - everyone loved the place and we plan to return.

This house is a great mix of old and new and includes a huge outdoor space all of which was great for our family of four plus two dogs.Communication with the host was excellent as was the location of the house for visiting some beautiful bays and towns.

Beautiful cottage

We had a really lovely stay at Primrose cottage. While the weather wasn’t on our side for the Easter break, the cottage was comfortable, well located and very well kitted out!

Perfect week in a perfect place

Very beautiful and tasteful furnished cottage with built in „feeling home effect“. Just lovely! And a great host on top of that. Definitely want to come again!

Easter week

Great, well appointed property in a quiet location with a child friendly garden. Close to Porthcothan bay which was beautiful and a short drive to many other fantastic beaches.

A lovely stay in a quiet setting...

Primrose Cottage is a lovely cottage in a very quiet setting close to Porthcothan Bay. The property is well equipped for families with young children with plenty of outdoor space for outdoor play after a long day on the beach. Everything was lovely and clean with everything provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Wonderful week, weather was kind allowing us to enjoy the patio and large garden. The large social kitchen / diner was our go to social space inside. The lounge was cosy and comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious and comfy. A real bonus having three bathrooms. Within easy reach of Padstow and our favourite beach at Harlyn Bay. Overall a lovely property, would highly recommend.

Perfectly Placed

Lovely property, immaculately presented and well equipped. Very comfy beds and plenty of towels and pillows. Wifi excellent which was a blessing with no phone signal! Perfect location for Porthcothan Bay. Make sure you go outside when it gets dark, the stars

Perfect for hitting the beaches

A great location for hitting the beaches of North Cornwall. Porthcothan Bay, less than 5 mins drive with Mawgan Porth, Constantine, Boobys, Treyarnon, Harlyn and Trevone all under 15mins by car. Cottage is really lovely in a quest location, with enough garden space for games, a private parking space and really handy downstairs shower for spraying those kids down upon return from the beach.

Everything Amazing

Amazing holiday from the minute we arrived. Perfect location, beautiful well equipt cottage, lovely surprise afternnon tea on arrival day. porthcothan beach is breathtaking, perfect for paddleboarding, swimming and picnics. James was very welcoming. 100% be back again.

Perfect cosy cottage

Couldn’t fault our stay. Cottage was clean, fully equipped and perfect for our family. The children loved all the games and beach bits in the garage. Lovely welcome back arrived on our first night which was very generous. James couldn’t do enough for us and very informative and helpful. Would definitely return to this lovely part of Cornwall and this cottage

Cottage Wasn't cleaned or ready for occupation

We didn't stay in the end. Arrived to find the cottage not cleaned and no towels or bedding. We spent the first night in a Premier Inn. To be completely fair to the owner there had been a misunderstanding with the cleaning company. He reimbursed our Premier Inn costs and when we decided to stay elsewhere for the rest of the holiday. The cottage is in a lovely location but not quite as big as it seems from the listing.

Fabulous cottage

Stunning cottage in a beautiful location, within walking distance of a gorgeous beach. Tastefully presented 3 extremely comfy bedrooms are sufficient for 6 adults, with 3 showers and a bath. Lots of home from home facilities to utilise, washing machine and separate dryer, dishwasher, plenty of crockery, pans and cutlery. As well as a variety of family games and a wide selection of cook/recipe books. A short walk away from MacDonalds farm, which is great for all ages. They have a bar and a play area for the kids! The cottage itself has been renovated to suit a more modern style, and has a lovely seating area outside for those warmer days and a log burner in the lounge for colder days, which we didn't get to use as the cottage is lovely and warm. Friendly responsive host, made us feel very welcome with a lovely welcome pack. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet countryside location but close enough to the beach and amenities.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in toller Lage

Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Haus hat alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. In der Garage sind diverse Strandutensilien vorhanden. Der Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Schlafzimmer lassen sich abdunkeln und die Betten sind bequem. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus die Wanderwege Richtung Küste erreichen. Wir haben mit unseren Kindern zwei Rundtouren (8 und 10 km) vom Haus gemacht. Der Strand von Porthcotan (5min mit dem Auto) ist aus unserer Sicht einer der schönsten der Umgebung. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen und werden es wenn wir nochmal Cornwall ansteuern sicher wieder buchen.

Super schön

Wir haben in dem Cottage zwei tolle Wochen verbracht. In dem Haus fehlt wirklich nichts, vom Dosenöffner, über Vorratsbehälter, bis zu Monopoly war alles in einem tollen Zustand vorhanden. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

Annual Family holiday at Porthcothan

Primrose cottage was a lovely place to stay for our annual family gathering. The garden was a real bonus. The house was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen had most things we needed. It was close enough to the beach that we could just cycle down or walk. I would highly recommend a compost bin somewhere outside. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Perfect retreat for family

James’ cottage provided a perfect retreat for our family. There is plenty of space for the kids to play in the garden, the house was well equipped for all our needs and the location was perfect for daily trips to the beaches, into Newquay and Padstow. Thanks for an amazing stay x

Great location for exploring

Lovely little cottage in a very quiet hamlet. Silent at night. The welcome pack and open fire started on arrival we’re nice touches, as was providing board games and dvds for rainy days. Very clean and comfortable. Decent shower in the bathroom off the kitchen. Found the comfiest bed to be the raised one! Nice enclosed garden and decent parking. Great location for exploring. Good communication from the host, thank you!
