We have what you need: In Givry, wine-growing town on the Chalonnaise coast, 60 km south of Dijon, 10 km west of Chalon sur SaĂŽne (A6 motorway), 20 minutes from the TGV station

Keuken/woonkamer is beetje klein en donker, maar er is een heel grote tuin beschikbaar. Bovenverdieping is modern met uitstekende douche en apart toilet. Ideaal parkeren op eigen terrein.

GemĂŒtliche Unterkunft in guter Lage

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt in diesem liebevoll eingerichteten Haus und bei Traumwetter konnten wir auch den tollen Garten genießen. Die Lage ist gut, zentral gelegen und ruhig. Man kann tolle Radtouren in die reizvolle Umgebung unternehmen.Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön an die freundlichen Vermieter Aline und Olivier.

Le village de GIVRY est trÚs joli situé au milieu des vignes. L'hébergement est bien situé dans la ville (proche centre ville) mais il est trÚs sale. Beaucoup de poussiÚre dans les différentes piÚces et beaucoup de graisse sur le frigo, micro onde et hot aspirante. A notre arrivée nous avons dû nettoyer l'intérieur d'une micro onde car il présentait des éclaboussures séchées. TrÚs mal équipé pour vivre une semaine (absence d'un four)...seul électroménager frigo et micro onde. Aucune piÚce pour recevoir du monde ( seul la petite cuisine sert un recevoir mais maximum quatre personnes). TrÚs déçu par ce logmeent....je déconseille.

Pour une escapade en Bourgogne, mon choix s’est portĂ© sur Givry, petite ville d’histoire et sur un logement de caractĂšre. La rencontre avec les propriĂ©taires a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs sympathique. L’appartement proposĂ© Ă©tait propre et spacieux notamment au niveaux des chambres (2) et de la salle de bain. Quant Ă  la cuisine, elle est trĂšs cosy. Par ailleurs, nous avons pu garer notre voiture Ă  l’intĂ©rieur de la propriĂ©tĂ©. Notre sĂ©jour Ă  Ă©tĂ© trĂšs agrĂ©able. C’est avec plaisir que nous reviendrons.

Wunderschöner Urlaub in Givry - ein echter Geheimtipp in Burgund!

Wir hatten das VergnĂŒgen, einige unvergessliche Tage in Givry zu verbringen, und sind absolut begeistert von diesem charmanten kleinen Ort im Herzen der Weinregion Burgund. Die Landschaft rund um Givry ist einfach malerisch – sanfte HĂŒgel, Weinberge soweit das Auge reicht und wunderschöne Wanderwege, die sich ideal fĂŒr entspannte SpaziergĂ€nge oder anspruchsvollere Wanderungen eignen. Die Ferienwohnung, die wir gebucht hatten, war klein und unglaublich gemĂŒtlich und perfekt ausgestattet – genau das, was wir fĂŒr unseren Kurzurlaub gebraucht haben. Unsere Gastgeber waren ĂŒberaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. @Aline: Vielen Dank dass Ihr bei unserer Ankunft so flexibel wart ;-). Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

Gut - zentral

wĂŒnschenswert wĂ€re noch bequemere StĂŒhle fĂŒr einen Aufenthalt im Freien. Nach etwas lĂ€ngerem Sitzen - z.B. zum FrĂŒhstĂŒck - schmerzte die harte. Eisenstreben am RĂŒcken doch sehr - zudem wĂ€ren Gartenliegen wĂŒnschenswert, wenn man nach einer Fahrradtour zurĂŒckkommt und noch etwas draußen sich aufhalten möchte. Ein Fernseher wĂ€re auch nett.

Landhaus mit Charme

Das alte Haus hat definitiv Charme und ist gut gelegen in einem mittelgroßen Dorf, dem es an nichts fehlt. Der Garten hat paradiesische Ausmaß und lĂ€dt zum Entspannen ein. Im Haus selbst befindet sich die KĂŒche in einer alten Backstube und eine sehr steile Treppe fĂŒhrt in den Wohnbereich der relativ neu ausgebaut ist. Die Wohnung ist durchzogen von Dachbalken auf ca 175cm Höhe, also hat insgesamt etwas die BewegungsflĂ€che gefehlt. Wir waren im August (35-40 °C tagsĂŒber) was die Wohnung etwas stickich machte, da QuerlĂŒften auf Grund von verschrauben Dachfenster nachts nicht möglich war. Ebenso konnte das Bad nicht gelĂŒftet werden und das WC ist nur ĂŒber das Wohnzimmer erreichbar und ohne Waschbecken. Alles Kleinigkeiten, aber mit Kind (2 Jahre) war es nicht ganz praktisch, eher zu empfehlen wenn das Kind Ă€lter ist (4-6) und alle Personen unter 175 cm. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und haben sich extrem viel MĂŒhe in der Kommunikation gegeben!

FrĂŒhling in Givry

Es war ein schöner Monat im FrĂŒhling in Givry: die Glyzinie begann zu blĂŒhen als wir an kamen, es folgten Maiglöckchen, die verschiedenfarbigen Iris, die Kletterrosen und die Pfingstrosen. Das Wetter war kĂŒhl und es gab auch viel Regen. Die Gite hatte alles, was wir brauchten. Unsere Gastgeber Aline und Olivier Burat waren freundlich, hilfsbereit und verbrachten zwei Abende mit uns, wofĂŒr wir uns herzlich bedanken. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen nĂ€chstes Jahr im Mai gern wieder, so Gott will.

Schöner Urlaub

Die Unterkunft im Maison jaune hat großen Charme. Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Der Garten ist wunderschön. Es ist ruhig dort. Die Vermieter sind hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Und Givry ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge ins sĂŒdliche Burgund, fĂŒr Touren mit dem Fahrrad und fĂŒr Wanderungen in den HĂŒgeln. Wir hatten sehr schöne Zeit dort. Danke!

Beautiful Place

We spent eight nights at La Maison Jaune and found it a delightful setting. Aline and her husband were warm and friendly and were helpful with local information. The house is in the village of Givry but it has a beautiful and extensive garden which was available to us. We could walk to restaurants and shops. If you enjoy cycling, the Voie Verte and the Canal make this a perfect place.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, wir kommen gerne wieder

Hier passte einfach alles. Die Wohnung ist mitten im kleinen Ort Givry und alle wichtigen GeschĂ€fte sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Aline ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin und hat uns mit ihrem Mann freundlich begrĂŒĂŸt und in Empfang genommen. Die Wohnung war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Man hat Zugang zum schönen Garten und glaubt gar nicht, dass man mitten im Ort ist. Auch das Umland ist schön und lĂ€dt zu AusflĂŒgen ein. Wir kommen gerne wieder und bedanken uns ganz herzlich.

Ondanks het slechte weer toch een fijn verblijf!

We kwamen tijdens de slechtste week van de zomervakantie naar Givry. Ondanks de regen hebben we toch erg genoten van ons verblijf! Het huisje is heel gezellig en ideaal voor ons klein gezin. Het dorp is erg aangenaam, de bakker missen we nu al ontzettend.

It's like moving in with relations who never liked you

The town and surrounding vineyards are lovely, but be prepared for constant reminders that you're staying at the owners' home and that privacy is limited. Not 'staying' as a guest, though, as we were not made to feel very welcome. Also, bear in mind that the owners, by their own admission, do not clean the apartment between visitors! We were given musty towels and greasy dishes, but at check-out we were told by the looming and pointing owner to remove every dog hair from the curtain and every speck of dust from the floor - with no soap or mop on offer. Our dogs were allowed for an additional fee, but it was apparently unacceptable that they made noise whilst playing during the day. We didn't spot a poo near the owners' door which supposedly brought a plague of flies upon the house, but the compost heap directly outside our kitchen window surely attracted enough of them.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub

Wir haben mit unseren beiden Kindern und unserem Hund 8 wunderschöne Tage im "Gelben Haus" verbracht. Die Wohnung ist klein, aber fein. Liebevoll eingerichtet, mit einem sehr schönen Bad. Den Abend kann man draussen im grossen Garten , bei Kerzenschein mit einem Glas Wein ausklingen lassen. Die Lage ist toll. 5 Minuten zur Boulangerie, ein kleiner Lebensmittelmarkt (7 Tage geöffnet) um die Ecke. Auch in den Weinbergen ist man innerhalb von ein paar Minuten, von dortaus hat man eine wunderschöne Aussicht und man kann mit dem Hund schön SpaziergÀnge machen. Im Umkreis kann man viele anderen StÀdtchen besichtigen. Wir waren wieder ganz begeistert von Frankreich und seinen Menschen. Olivier und Aline sind sehr nette Gastgeber.

When we bought this house in 1993, it was partially habitable. We renovated a part of it for our family and converted attic into bedroom at the arrival of our third child, but we immediately thought that one day we could turn the attic for entertaining friends.

What makes this property unique

Availability for guests and hospitality. I speak English and German, and I like advising people to make them discover our beautiful region. We decorated our rooms with antique furniture and kept the authentic setting (stone walls, beams) while installing modern comforts.
