Fabulous Rustic Chalet Beach House Across the Street From Beach on Grand Turk

Relaxing house on the Island of Grand Turk (not Providencales (Provo). Come relax in this 3 bedroom/2 bath beach cottage, located across the street from the breathtaking beach/ocean, which is nestled on the quiet island of Grand Turk, which offers world class diving, snorkeling, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, swimming with the sting-rays, ATVs, spa treatments and most of all relaxation. The island is best known for it's spectacular dive wall! House is equipped with air conditioning in each bedroom, a brand new extra large sectional sleeper sofa, washing machine, snorkeling equipment and lots of amenities. Catch your dinner at sea and then sip a margarita, while grilling it and relaxing on the wrap around deck.

We are a short walk/bike/golf cart ride from the restaurants, dive shops and stores. If necessary, golf cart and car rentals are available, on the island. We are approximately 2 miles from the Grand Turk Cruise Center. The cruise center offers a large pool (shown in photo), wave rider, beach, duty free shops and Margaritaville. Visitors are welcome to use their facilities any time the center has a cruise ship in.

This was our first visit to Grand Turk and this place did not disappoint. Jane and Scott were phenomenal hosts and the house was absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to come back and have highly recommended this house to family and friends, interested in visiting the island.

Family Vacation- 1st time to Grand Turk

This was a cute, cabin style home near a beautiful beach. Owners and caretakers were very responsive and helpful in our planning and stay on the island. Home had some maintenance issues we had the caretakers work on.

Beautiful beach, beautiful weather

A great location! We enjoyed every minute of our two weeks here. The golf cart was essential to getting around, making the island easy to explore. We spent one day out fishing with a charter, many days strolling along white sand beaches that were virtually deserted. Swimming was fabulous, in the clearest water I’ve ever seen. House had plenty of room for four adults and everything we needed. The only downside was the late night serenade by donkeys and dogs. Bug repellent is essential.

Great home away from home

We stayed there for nine days with our family. The house was a perfect size for us and had everything we needed. The new bikes were enjoyed by our kids- but they did need some maintenance. Jane responded quickly to our request for help with the bikes and other minor issues. Loved all the dogs and donkeys in the area and their nightly serenades. The island is gorgeous- the beaches were wonderful and uncrowded and the snorkeling was great. Be sure to bring bug spray.

Family Christmas Gift

House is very close to beautiful beaches. House could use some landscaping work. Inside could use some better windows. This would help with all the noise from the loose dogs and donkeys at night. If you’re lyfor the Ritz. This is not it. But for the price it’s very reasonable with all the basics.

Great Place to Stay

We needed an additional place to stay as the group of four families increased a bit in size to fit into the other place we rented nearby. This place was the perfect for our needs. It; snot glorous , but it was clean, comfortable, everything including the A/C worked, close to the beacha dn wihiin walking distance of stores, a great dive shope, restauarnts, and the beach. The owners, Jane and Scott, and the property manager, Chris, were very responsibe to questions nad fluid with information to help our stay. Chris helped us rent a golf cart to get around the island with. We'd be happy to rent this VRBO again on uor next trip. .

More than we hoped for

Everything is exactly as pictured and listed. Property owner and manager were both very responsive and super fantastic. The house is a very short walk to the beach, and a quick golf cart drive to several awesome snorkel spots, groceries, and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Grand Turk Chalet

1980's home with lots of charm. The owers or the property managers respond to all questions promptly. They have equiped the house with many day to day items for guest use,and things you've forgotten or didn't know you would need. They also have all the items you need to enjoy the beach just a couple minutes walk from the house. This is a great place if you want to just get away from the hussle and bussle, traffic!, of day to day life and relax. There are things to do around the island, excursions available like horseback riding, snorkling and diving. This is Total island life, nothing is commericalized, most places are individually owned. The owners are very easy to work with and can answer any questions regarding the property and surrounding area.

Grand Turk never disappoints!

Spatious, very comfortable cottage, nicely located, just a short walk from a beautiful and quiet beach and a short bike from almost everywhere. We enjoyed our stay and everything went smooth, Jane was always responsive remotely and Chris extremely supportive on the island. Jane also kindly offered their small golf cart to take my daughter to the hospital when she was sick. Thanks for your help and hope to be back soon.

Great location

Location great! Sofa, chair filthy, need to be toss out. Mattresses were very uncomfortable because they were very old. We didn't spend much time in the house but it worked for the time we were there. I'm a neat and clean person so I don't expect most people to feel like me. The young lady Chris was awesome, a text or call away for anything we needed. If you don't care about the things that upset me then you are fine with using this property but we have lots of family there which helped.

Grand Turk Island Adventure Base

For a family of 6 certified SCUBA divers, this was a great base to this island of adventure. Located on the southwest side of the island, this historic British Columbia built Lofted A frame with 2 full bathrooms, 2 full first floor bedrooms, a full loft bedroom, and a full kitchen made our stay perfect. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach. Snorkeling on the beach can reveal sting rays, fish, and perfect sunsets. Grand Turk Diving is only 3/4 of a mile away. Jason, Jamaal, J.J., Schmitty, and Chris were incredible in their flexibility, knowledge, experience, and safety on dives. Rent the golf cart. This allows you the freedom to see the entire island.... Go 15 minutes north to The Ridge for fresh loaves of bread (best to pre-order) and incredible views of the east Atlantic. 5 minutes north to the Ospry for lunch, and 10 minutes north to Bohio for a Friday night dinner and dancing right on the beach. Or visit one of two Smart Grocery stores and have meals in the house or on the deck. Or go south 5 minutes when cruise ships are in for a afternoon of swimming pool and tourist watching... only to be happy to be back to Jane and Scott's place away from the crowds. As mentioned in other reviews... this is not the Ritz Carlton. This is island living. Simple. Relaxing. Lots of breathing. 3 dogs protect the property and act as the eyes and ears of the Brown houses. They bark. But in a great way. A way that says... no curious mischievous youngster is going to walk off with any of our stuff sitting on the deck. If I can keep my 20 year old straight A student from getting on a plane and heading back tomorrow, I'll be lucky. As a family, I know we'll be back! Thank you Jane and Scott.

Simple, spacious and pleasant

We enjoyed our stay and will return. This is a simple, clean, spacious place to stay. The beach is a two minute walk, and it is FANTASTIC! We could swim, snorkel and watch the sunset a few minutes from our door. Natural and peaceful. Chris (manager) & Joab (maintenance & misc) were very friendly and helpful. It was our first time on Grand Turk and we got confused finding the grocery store. Joab showed us the main streets, took us to store and waited while we purchased it enough for our first day. The chalet is quite large and roomy. We ate breakfast on the deck each morning. If you need up to date fixtures, dishwasher and granite countertops this is NOT the place for you. If you are comfortable with clean and basic and are there for nature, snorkeling and diving, this is a LOT of space at a reasonable price. We had all we needed to cook and BBQ. The golf cart was a godsend. We explored and felt comfortable finding our way around after the first day. . We felt safe and found everyone more than friendly. We felt WELCOMED! This island is truly a diamond in the rough. Get there before the developers find it!

The most Amazing deal on the entire Grand Turk Island

We carefully planned out our vacation and really felt as if we had the best Deal on the island. Little did we realize that all the unwritten perks and bonus we got in renting this home. A minute walk to a virtually private beach. Many times we found ourselves alone and enjoying the clear and warm waters. This cottage had all the essentials. Just bring clothes and tooth brush, (literally). If you need snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler, umbrellas, beach towels, buckets, or anything at all this home has it. You can’t find that at a hotel/motel. The home is just perfect for a family or couples. There were a few days it rained, (rare but possible) yet the house had a collection of amazing DVD’s, games, and entertainment. Your stay includes WiFi (rare commodity during our search). All and any questions we had were quickly answered before and during our stay by Jane and Scott. The caretakers picked us up, gave us the lay of the island and a daily visit to ensure all needs were met. (It almost felt like personal butler service with a less formal vibe.) It was one of the best vacations we have ever had. If you want to just unplug and get away from the daily grunge. Don’t hesitate getting a hold of Jane & Scott to reserve this vacation home. Lovely beach house in a lovely spot!

Our family had a great stay in this house. Everything was clean and well kept. We especially loved the stone floors and adorable bathrooms. There were new beach chairs and towels for us to use. Just a short, easy walk to the beach. The kitchen had everything you could need. We could hear some dogs and donkeys at night, but that's part of the Grand Turk charm and we wouldn't want it any other way. We would definitely book this house again!

Perfect Vacation

We spent 9 days in paradise at the end of February, the house was fully equipped, clean, spacious and in a perfect location on the island. The beach close to the house (2 minutes walk) was perfect for swimming and snorkeling, our 7yrs old enjoyed it a lot. Using the golf cart during our stay really added lots of fun to our trip. The main street with the restaurants was not too far and the many groceries on the island were very convenient. There are several very nice beaches close by where we were alone most of the time, we really felt at some point we actually rented an island on our own. We have traveled to many places around the world and this trip was certainly the most relaxing and safest trip we did. Scott and Jane were really prompt to answer any questions we would have and Joab helped us with any logistics. Very friendly and fun he added to an already amazing vacation. I would recommend this place anytime as we had such a great experience, the House really had everything (even a nice BBQ to grill your catch of the day :) ). We are based in rural Connecticut, where we have owned and operated a chimney cleaning, liner & cap installation, and masonry business, with our son, for over 32 years. We enjoy the outdoors and look forward to staying at our home in Grand Turk several times a year.

Why they chose this property

This is our vacation home, that we purchased in the fall of December 2016, after falling in love with the island and its old word charm. We previously spent two Christmas and New Year's holidays here, and decided to make it a permanent part of our life. When our family members and friends are not staying here, we offer to share our home with you. We hope you love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

The best part of this home is its proximity to the beach, which is a short walk across the street. The beach is quiet and secluded with a tree for shade and beautiful shells and sea glass for the taking. We are within walking distance of several dive shops and restaurants. Use a golf cart to explore the island and its untouched secluded beaches in all their splendor.
